Цели урока:
развивающий аспект – развитие мышления, творческой фантазии, инициативы в осуществлении иноязычной речевой деятельности; способности осуществлять продуктивные речевые действия; развитие межпредметной связи с предметом «Экология»;
воспитательный аспект – формирование у школьников любви и уважительного отношения к природе;
учебный аспект – совершенствование лексических навыков устной речи, аудирования, чтения.
сопутствующая задача: контроль умений и навыков учащихся вести беседу, высказывать свое мнение по теме.
Оборудование урока: репродукции, картинки, изображающие красоту природы и карикатуры, аудиозапись, проектор, экран. (Приложение №1 –слайды к уроку.)

Ход урока.
1. Приветствие. Цели урока: (Слайд № 1,2,3)
Good morning, boys and girls! I am glad to see you! How are you? Are you all here today?
Let’s start our lesson. Look at the board and guess what is the theme of our lesson today?
Pupil 1: The theme of our lesson is “Environmental Problems”
Yes, Dear friends! So, the aim of our lesson is to learn to describe the ecological problems and ways of their solving. (Слайд № 2)
For it we must:
Revise the words
Name ecological problems
Describe ecological signs
Name ways of solution of environmental problems.
2. Фонетическая зарядка. ex. № 38 p. 50. (Слайд № 4)
Listen to the words and compare them with the Russian words.
Million, a ton, a kilogram, plastic, polythene, metal, cigarette, packet, supermarket, farm, industry, factory, ecology, planet, international, problem, computer, chance, climate, container.

3. Речевая зарядка. (Слайд № 4, 5, 6, 7)
Now look at these pictures and say do you agree or disagree with my statement? 1.Our planet is a beautiful place to live in. (Слайд № 6)
P1: I agree. Our planet is a beautiful place.
2. But now our planet is in danger!
P2: I agree. Our planet is in danger because of pollution.
3. The rivers, lakes, seas and oceans are polluted.(Слайд № 7)
P3. I agree. The rivers, lakes, seas and oceans are polluted by plants and factories.
4. Our rivers are full of fish. (Cлайд № 8)
P4: I disagree. The rivers, lakes, seas are now empty of fish.
5. The country air is clean and fresh. (Слайд №9)
P5. I disagree. The country air now is polluted by factories and power stations.
4. Отработка лексического материала по теме «Экология»

B) Now listen to me and try to guess the world
T: The first one is a noun- all around us.
P1: an environment
T: Good. The next word is a verb. To make dirty air, water, everything around us.
P2: To pollute
T: Right you are. It’s a noun; it’s a result of people’s bad actions in nature.
P3: pollution
T: Good. It’s a verb. Synonym of this verb is to happen, to make smth.happen.
P4: to cause
T; Right. It’s a noun .Damage as a result of a fire, war.
P5: destruction
T: good. It’s when you have less than needed.
P6: a shortage
T: it’s a place for putting dirty (and smth dangerous)
P7: a dump
T; things you throw away as damaged or of no use. It may be nuclear, industrial, dangerous.
P8: waste
T: it’s a very dangerous thing with it you can even kill.
P9: poison
T: It’s a verb from a noun poison.
P10: to poison
T: very good. It’s an adjective and may be used with such words as: weapon, war tests.
P11: Nuclear
T; it may be a gun, a knife
P12; a weapon
T: and the last definition for today: it’s an adjective, antonym of the word “dangerous”.
P13: Safe
C) Перевод словосочетаний с русского языка на английский.
- решать проблемы окруж.среды ( to solve the environmental problems)
- угрожать жизни людей (to endanger people’s lives)
- загрязнение водной среды (water pollution)
- загрязнение воздуха (air pollution)
- уничтожение живой природы (Destruction of wildlife)

-промышленные и ядерные отходы (industrial and nuclear waste)
- атомные электростанции (nuclear power stations)
d) ex. № 39. Read the word combinations and create your own sentences with them.
- It is prohibited to throw the litter away out of windows.
- Some products are recyclable.
- There isn’t a recycling centre in our town.
- We must drop litter into the bins only.
- Every day many people buy packed and unpacked goods in the shops.

Factories chemicals build wastewater treatment plant

Farmland and countryside destroyed raise awareness of people

Now you see how much pollution is on our Earth. But it is alive. It suffers from human`s activities and tries to protect itself. Our Earth is the best place in our universe. We must defend it and do everything to make our Earth clean and beautiful. If we do nothing, we`ll die!
