Тема урока: О популярности электронных книг.

Дата: 18.10.2019

Цель: развитие умений устной монологической и диалогической речи по изученной теме, развитие навыков аудирования.

Тип урока: комбинированный урок.

Планируемые результаты

Предметные:

 развитие умений прогнозирования содержания текста по его началу, развитие умений поискового чтения.

Личностные: воспитывать интерес к изучению английского языка, воспитывать готовность к коллективному творчеству.

Метапредметные:

Регулятивные: осуществление регулятивных действий самонаблюдения, самоконтроля, самооценки в процессе коммуникативной деятельности на иностранном языке.

Познавательные: выделять основную информацию из текста.

Коммуникативные: формулировать собственное мнение и позиции, развивать способность аргументировать и координировать её с позициями партнёров в сотрудничестве при выработке общего решения в совместной деятельности; уметь задавать вопросы; адекватно использовать речевые средства для решения различных коммуникативных задач.

Задачи урока

Образовательная: обеспечение в ходе урока усвоения понятий, освоение во всех видах речевой деятельности новых лексических единиц, развитие умений, составляющих лингвистическую компетенцию: сопоставление языковых явлений в изучаемом и родном языках;

Развивающая: создать условия для развития  коммуникативных навыков через разнообразные виды речевой деятельности (монологическая, диалогическая речь);

развитие умения смыслового чтения: умения прогнозировать содержание текста по ключевым словам.

Воспитательная: активизировать познавательную инициативу обучающихся и формировать их социальную компетентность, привить любовь к чтению.

Ресурсы: учебник «Английский в фокусе» (Spotlight 7) под ред. Ю.Ваулиной, Дж.Дули, О.Подоляко, В.Эванс, компьютер, проектор, презентация.

Формы работы: фронтальная, индивидуальная, парная, групповая.

Формы контроля: взаимопроверка в парах.

Домашнее задание: So, your home task is to prepare the dialogues on the next topics “At the bookshop”, “About a book between two friends”, At the library”.

Приветствие и проверка готовности к уроку.

Good morning, boys and girls. I am glad to see you at the lesson. Nowadays many people believe that reading is boring and that books are not necessary. Do you agree? (Слайд 1)

How do you think what is the theme of our lesson?

You are absolutely right: the theme of the lesson is the role of books in our modern life. (Слайд 2)

Приветствуют учителя.

Yes, I completely agree with this opinion. I don’t like books, I prefer cinema and computer.

No, I can’t agree with these words. They are absurd. Books teach us! …

- You see, so many minds so many thoughts. But in all centuries there were the people who wrote books and there were the people who read them. How do you think what is the theme of our lesson?

I think the theme is the answer to the question: what role do books play in our modern life?

In other words we must find the answer if books are necessary or not for us.

3. Практика в устной монологической и диалогической речи (5 мин.)

6. Развитие навыков аудирования

Учащиеся выполняют задание после текста в группах по 4 человека на листочках. 

William Caxton.

William Caxton is the first English printer. He was born in Kent in 1422. His father was a farmer. William did not want to become a farmer. So his father sent him to London. He worked in an office which traded with different countries. William liked to read new books which were printed in Europe. When William Caxton was thirty, after his master’s death he started his own business in Belgium. In 1471 he left his business and began to translate French books into English.  He became interested in printing and at last he learnt it. William Caxton wanted to have his own press one day and he did. In 1476 he brought his printing press to London. Printing was something new at that time. Caxton printed his first book in 1477. The book was Caxton’ s translation of the French «Tales of Troy». William Caxton printed about eighty books. He translated thirty-one books from French. William Caxton died in 1791.

7.Совершенствование навыков диалогической речи (7 мин.)

1. T. We live in the 21st century. Nowadays there are so many devices we use and very often we see that people prefer electronic book to paper one. But do you know what was before books appeared in our lives? What did people use instead of books? (Слайды 16-24)

2. Let’s think about advantages and disadvantages of paper book and electronic one. There is a table on the board, fill in the columns.

(На  доске разлинованы 2 колонки с подписями “Paper book” and “Electronic book”.Учащиеся выходят к доске и заполняют колонки.)

Paper book (feel its smell; touch it; don’t hurt eyes; don’t depend on plug in, electricity; can borrow it from the library immediately).

E-book (time and space saving device; easy to use, carry; pleasant reading from a screen; keeps much information; available through the Internet; it can store one thousand books; books are always at hand; comfortable for travelling).

8. Подведение итогов урока, рефлексия (5 мин.)

T. Children, we know many proverbs and sayings about books and reading.

I’ll give you cards with them, but all the words are cut and mixed.

Remember the proverb, put the words in a correct way and read it!

(Учащиеся работают в паре, составляют пословицы из отдельных слов и зачитывают вслух)

Учитель комментирует оценки, спрашивает мнение учащихся, кто, по их мнению, работал лучше всех, задает домашнее задание. Подводит итоги урока, чему научились: выполнять письменные упражнения на закрепление пройденного материала.
