ЦЕЛЬ УРОКА:                                    Совершенствование лексических и  

                                                                грамматических навыков по теме «Environmental problems»

ОБРАЗОВАТЕЛЬНЫЕ ЗАДАЧИ:   Совершенствование лексических навыков по теме урока на                                                        уровне свободного высказывания в виде монологической и                                                 диалогической речи.                                                                                         Тренировка учащихся в умении вести общение на                                                         английском языке в предлагаемых ситуациях.                                 

ВОСПИТАТЕЛЬНЫЕ ЗАДАЧИ:      Воспитывать бережное отношение к                                                                 природе и окружающей среде. Воспитывать толерантное отношение к высказываниям участников группы, формирование гуманных отношений на уроке, ответственное выполнение домашних заданий, воспитывать дисциплинированность и собранность, уважительное отношение к учителю и одноклассникам.

РАЗВИВАЮЩИЕ ЗАДАЧИ:            Развитие исследовательского мышления,

                                                                 воображения,  способности к

                                                                 распределению и переключению

                                                                 внимания, к сравнению и сопоставлению,

                                                                 развитие познавательного интереса

                                                                 учащихся.

ПЛАН УРОКА:

ХОД УРОКА

1.Приветствие. Организационный момент.

T: Hello! I’m glad to see you today. How are you?

P:  Good afternoon, Olga Leonidovna! We are fine! And you?

T:  I’m glad to hear that! And I am fine too.

2.Фонетическая разминка

T: Do you remember our small tongue-twister? Let’s repeat it!

P:  WET AND WINDY WEDNESDAY

T: Thank you!

3.Вступительная беседа. Brainstorming.

T: Today we’ll have an extremely interesting lesson! You’ll be  researchers. The topic of the lesson is “Global Warming” and we’ll try to look into this important problem and answer the question : “What is happening to the temperature?” So, let’s start!

Look at the screen. Here you can see the plan of our lesson.

• Centigrade and Fahrenheit
• The weather forecast. Climate changes.
• Climate in Russia.
• The Truth About Global Warming. The Video and the pupils’ projects
•  The conclusion. Our totals.
• The Hometask

You know, children, yesterday I went to the market to buy some food and fruit. And today I’ve brought one apple to the lesson. It will help us a lot!  Look at it!  Isn’t it wonderful?

Try to use your imagination to think what the apple looks like?

P:  Ученики высказывают свое мнение, используя речевые клише

T: Yes, I  agree, that the apple reminds us the EARTH. And what if I put it into a plastic bag? Will it be able to breathe?

P: NO!

T: Certainly! That’s what’s happening to the Earth too.

4. Введение в тему урока.

T: So, you can see how important it is to think about our Earth. And today we are going to start discussing Earth’s problems from your homework. At home you had to find the information about two types of scales.

• What are they?
• What is the difference between them?
• Thank you! And what countries use this or that type of scale?

P: Дети отвечают на вопросы учителя.  

T: Now look at the screen! Let’s revise the formulas! Are you good at Maths? So try to change the meanings!

P: Рассказывают формулы наизусть, используя дополнительную лексику. °F = (°C x 1,8) + 32  °C = (°F - 32) / 1,8

T: Thank you!

5. Активизация речевой деятельности.

T: So the topic of our lesson is Global Warming. 

What comes to your mind when you hear the word combination Global Warming?

P: Дети высказывают свои предположения, используя речевые клише:

I suppose, To my mind и др.

T: One of your answers was weather! By the way, what is the weather like today?

The Internet will help us to get a thorough weather forecast! Who will be our weather broadcaster today?

6. Контроль навыков монологической речи по теме. Защита проектов

Т: Thank you very much! And now, children, tell me, is the weather the same in all parts of our country! Yes you are right! Who will tell us about the climate in Russia? (презентация, защита проектов)

T: And now, dear scientists, tell me can we say that something is happening to the weather nowadays? Can we be sure of the weather forecasts that are given by the weathermen today?

And why? Who will tell me?

P: Высказывают своё мнение. Because of Global Warming!

T: That’s right. And today we will answer the question: what is happening to the temperature.

7. Совершенствование навыков аудирования

T: The video from the Internet that is called The Truth About Global Warming, will help us to realize the problem. Before watching the video please look at the questions I will ask you.

P: Дети получают карточки с вопросами к видео. После просмотра отвечают на вопросы

• T: What is the key-question of the discussion?
• What is the meaning of the red curve? When did the climate start to change?
• What does the green curve mean?
• Till what time do the red and the green curve go together?
• What does the yellow curve mean?
• What is the conclusion of this research? What does the model tell us?

8. Контроль навыков монологической речи по теме. Защита проектов

T: And now my dear researches I know that you are ready with your own project to explain the mechanism of the greenhouse effect.

P: Защита проектов        

T: Thank you so much! Did you like the presentation? And me too!

9. Развитие навыков монологической речи с использованием речевой опоры – видео

T: And now to sum up everything we have seen and done we’ll watch another video from the National Geographic Channel. It will help us to find out what the evidence of global warming  and predictions of the scientists are. And how we can help save the weather and the climate.

P: ученики смотрят видео, записывают факты из видео

10. Подведение итогов урока.

T: Let’s try to make a little scheme of our conclusions!

Now children try to make your own conclusions of our lesson.

P: Дети высказывают свое мнение по теме, обобщают, делают заключение

T: So, you can see that the problems of the Earth-our home are very dangerous. Not only grown-ups but small children must think about them, about the future of the mankind and nature. We are all responsible for the environment.

Before saying good-bye let’s revise the new words by doing this simple exercise. You should put the proper words into the spaces given below.  I give you one minute to look it through!

T:  Homework  write a short composition on the topic “If I were God I would…”

Concerning the problem of Global warming nowadays.

Raise your head,

Jump up high,

Wave your hands,

And say good-bye!
