08. План–конспект урока по теме «Письмо Барбары. Развитие умений изучающего чтения. Повторение степеней сравнения прилагательных»

Цель:  развитие навыков и умений изучающего чтения.

Задачи:

Образовательные: развитие навыков изучающего чтения, повторение степеней сравнения прилагательных.

Развивающие: развивать логическое мышление, память, внимание, смысловую догадку; развивать желание использовать иностранный язык для получения новой информации.

Воспитательные: воспитывать уважительное отношение к культуре своего и других народов, воспитывать такие нравственные качества, как взаимопомощь и уважение друг к другу.

1. Организационный этап.

Good morning students. How are you doing today?  Is there any news you`d like to share with us?

Thank you. Now we are ready to work.

By learning you will teach; by teaching you will understand.

Let`s translate this proverb. How do you think in what way it is connected with our lesson? … We`ll speak about the teacher you already know. She lives in London and her nickname is Barby. Have you guessed? – Right. We`ll speak about Barbara.

But first, she would like us to check up our h/w. (Можно собрать W.B. и проверить в течение урока.)

4.     Постановка цели и задач урока.

Our aim is to find out everything we can about Barbara with the help of her letter to her Russian students.

5.        Предтекстовый этап (снятие языковых и речевых трудностей).

So, open your S.B. on page 13. Do you see Barbara`s photo there? Is she a good teacher?

So, let`s find out this information with the help of her letter. First of all find the place where she lives in the letter. Good, she lives in London. How many pupils does she have this year? (20)

Если необходимо, на доску выписать слова: bright, miss, I wish I were, an invitation. Переводим их с учениками.

And one more thing: not to make some unnecessary mistakes in reading let`s match the sounds and the words given in ex. 24, p. 14.

Degrees of comparison

 In the English language we have got three degrees of comparison: positive (положительная), comparative (сравнительная) and superlative (превосходная).

First let`s revise one and many of the two–syllable adjectives. (повторим прилагательные, состоящие из 1 и многие, состоящие из 2 слогов)

Positive (или положительная) degree – it`s a normal description.

Look: a bid globe.

Comparative (или сравнительная) we compare two things,

Look: A bigger globe. In this case we add suffix –er.

And finally, superlative (или превосходная): выделяется из группы предметов.

Look, this globe is the biggest. We add article the and suffix –est.

One more example:

A small globe,    a smaller globe (suffix –er in our comparative degree) and ___the smallest globe (caмый  маленький) the and suffix –est.

Here we have to remember that there are some exceptions you have to remember. They are:

Good–better–the best

Bad–worse–the worst

Little–less–the least

Old–older/elder–the oldest/the eldest

Much/many–more–the most

Now let`s revise some two–and more syllable adjectives (некоторые прилагательные, состоящие из 2 и более слогов)

Positive degree: our adjective.

Look:  interesting – интересный

Comparative: we put more before the adjective.

Look: a more interesting (более интересный)

And finally: our superlative degree.

We add the most before the adjective. Look:

The most interesting – самый интересный
