Урок - путешествие "Travelling to the    World of Music"                                                                        (7 класс)

 

Образовательные задачи:

  • развитие лексических навыков говорения по теме «music and music styles»;
  • совершенствование навыков чтения с общим  охватом содержания и извлечением конкретной информации;
  • развитие навыков аудирования без зрительной опоры.

Развивающие задачи:

  • развитие внимания, воображения, памяти;
  • развитие способности к догадке, гибкости и логичности ума, коммуникабельности, способности осуществлять репродуктивные и продуктивные речевые действия;
  • расширение кругозора.

Воспитательные задачи:

  • воспитание уважительного, толерантного отношения культуре других народов, более глубокого осознания своей родной культуры.

  • осознание огромного значения музыки в жизни человека.

  • способствовать развитию у учащихся репродуктивного и произвольного воображения, самоанализа эмоциональной сферы, умения вступать в речевое общение, участвовать в диалоге и умения слушать.

Ход урока  (слайд 1)

Teacher:

-Good morning, boys and girls! I’m glad to see you.  How are you? We have an unusual lesson today. We’ll speak about music to find out how much do you know about music.

Teacher: “Music is universal language of the world.”

Warming-up ( фонетическая  разминка )                                  

Teacher: So what is the topic of our lesson for today?

- Yes, you’re right! We’ll travel to a very beautiful world, the world of music. We can’t live without music, can we?

Student1: (слайд3)

- No we can’t. Music is a part of our life. We can hear it everywhere: in the parks, in the streets, in the shops, on TV, over the radio, in cars, at discos, concerts, cafes, everywhere. A lot of people enjoy music.

Student 2: (слайд4)

-I agree with you. I think people cannot live without music. They listen to music, they dance to music, they play musical instruments.

Teacher:

But what is music? How can you explain it?

Student 3: Specialists explain it very well:  music is not only a combination of pleasant sounds. It is an art which reflects life. Music reflects people’s ideas and emotions.                                                                                              2

Teacher: Thank you for your explain. As you know, boys and girls, music in the lives of different people is different. Do you agree with me?

                                                                                                                                                   Student 4: Yes, Asya Muaedovna, I agree with you.  Some  people compose music, others play music, and others only listen to it. A lot of people who cannot play any musical instrument love to listen to music.

Teacher: Well, you are right. And what can you say about music movement in our country? (слайд №5)

Student 5: Music art in Russia is very rich. We have a lot of music halls, music schools, TV and radio programs about music. For example: “Factor A”

Student 6: Or “ The battle of chores” / Битва хоров

Student 7: “Guess the melody” /  Угадай мелодию

Student 8:” The property of republic” /Достояние республики

 Student 9:”Saturday evening” / Субботний вечер  and so on

Teacher: Oh, I see you know a lot of music programs. And now I’d like to know do you remember the types of music? (уч-ся перечисляют музыкальные жанры  слайд№6)

 rock, folk, classical, country,  martial, opera, pop, techno, jazz:)

Teacher: Please, listen to the music and try to define what musical style is it. (слайд №7)

Teacher: Oh, thank you! You were perfect at this task. With the help of the adjectives from Ex 2c you must express your attitude to the styles of music. Open your books at p.34 and let’s do the Ex. (слайд №8)

Teacher: Well done, boys and girls.  I see that you know many musical styles and many words which can characterize music.  And now I prepare a little surprise for you. We have a special guest at our lesson today, a pop singer! Guess who? Let’s have an interview with him. Who wants to be a correspondent/ interpreter ? Welcome! ( слайд №9)

An interview with a pop singer

  1. Where do you come from?
  2. How long have you been in show business?
  3. When did you first understand that you wanted to be a singer?
  4. How did your family help you to enter show business?
  5. Do you travel a lot?
  6. What is your favorite film?
  7. What do you like doing?

Teacher: Oh, marvelous! It was great! And now, boys and girls, I have a question: What makes music? (слайд №10)

Student 10: I think musical instruments.

Teacher: Quite right, thank you. Let’s remember the names of musical instruments than. Look at the screen and read them aloud.

- Now, you’ll listen to different pieces of music for some seconds.   You must match the tunes with the instruments.

  5. Igor Fyodorovich Stravinsky (1882-1971)- a great Russian composer
  6. Strauss Johann (1825-1899)- a great Austrian composer
  7. Sergey  Vasilievich Rachmaninoff (1873-1943)- a great Russian composer
  8. Franz Peter Schubert (1797-1828)- a great Austrian composer
  9. Bach Johann Sebastian (1685-1750)- a great German composer
  10. Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky  (1840-1893)- a great Russian composer

Teacher: Well, And what’s about our republic? Do you know any composers or musicians from Kabardino-Balkaria? (слайд 13)

Student  11: I know Djabrail Haupa. He was born in Nartan. And he often comes to our school . He compose songs mainly for children.

Student 12: And I know Yuri Temirkanov. A famous conductor of the Royal Symphonic Orchestra in London. He is from our republic too.

Teacher:

Thank you. I’m so glad that you know our famous people and proud of it. Now I want you to work  again. Let’s sum up your knowledge of music. Our task is to guess the crossword puzzle.

VI. “Crossword” ( слайд № 14)

VIII. Подведение итогов урока ( слайд №15)

Teacher:

It’s time to finish our traveling. We can see that everybody likes music. Can you think of a day without music?

Student 12: Oh, that’s not possible, because it plays an important role in our life. Music helps us to see the beauty of our world and to become better.

Teacher: You’ve worked hard, I am satisfied with your work. I thank you for your work at our lesson.

* Дополнительное задание. Подготовить мини- сочинение на тему: «Мой любимый певец», упр. 1.3 стр.44

В конце исполняется песня группы ABBA “Thank you for the music”
