“Travelling to London ”

Обобщающий урок по учебнику Верещагина  И.Н., Притыкина Т.А. Учебник для 5 класса школ с углубленным изучением английского языка, лицеев, гимназий, колледжей.

Цели:

-  совершенствовать речевые (диалогическая, монологическая форма) и грамматические  навыки Present Perfect;

- активизировать лексические навыки;

- обучить аудированию с целью понимания общего содержания.

Оборудование:

- магнитофон;

- компьютер;

- доска;

- проектор;

- экран;

-  упражнения с заданиями, выполненные на компьютере с помощью программы для презентации  “Power Point”;

- Oxford  Word Magic

      1 .Вводная часть урока – слайды № 1

2. Для сообщения о теме и характере работы  на данном уроке используется слайд- № 2-5

3. Для настройки учащихся на беседу  по теме проводится фонетическая тренировка- слайд №  6 - 7

4. Для  активизации  лексических навыков целесообразно использовать наглядные пособия - слайд № 8-24

5. Развитие речевых навыков – слайд №  28

6.Совершенствование речевых навыков (диалогическая форма) –  Oxford word  Magic.

7. Развитие навыков монологической речи – слайд № 8-16

8. Аудирование с целью понимания общего  содержания (текст для аудироания взят из  Factfiles) – слайды №25

9. Для закрепления и дальнейшего использования лексических единиц по теме “Travelling to London”  учащиеся выполняют кроссворды, вставляют пропущенные слова.

Ход урока.

T:  Good morning, everybody. I am glad to see you. How are you?

P:  Good morning. How are you? I am fine thank you.

T:  Today some guests are present at our lesson. I think we must greet them on behalf of our pupils. Would you like to do it, please?

P:  I am happy to greet you on behalf of our pupils. I hope you will be pleased with our answers. We like English and try to study as well as we can.

T;  Thank’s take your seats please.

Introduction of the lesson.

1. T: Well, let’s start our work.  Look at the slide now. Look at these pictures, listen to the sounds and think about the title of our lesson. Do you have any idea what the title of our lesson is? Look at the slide I have prepared a puzzle for you. If you put all these letters in correct order you will’be able to name the title of our lesson.So the title of our lesson is “Travelling  to London”.

We’ll speak about travelling and places that people  can  visit in London.

2. So we are going:

• to speak English a lot;
• to listen to the CD;
• to sing a song;
• to do a crossword;
• to do a puzzle;
• to watch video;
• to read a quiz.

3. T: Now let’s start our travelling. In order to speak about travelling we must revise the words.

3. What is your favourite way of travelling?

    T – Now, Irina come to me please. And all of you will ask her questions about travelling.

 5.  Now look at this slides of sightseeing of   London at repeat the names after me.

6. Look at the pictures and name the sights of London.

(The children are speaking about the sights of London)

7. T: _ Thank you! Now please listen to the text and read it after the  speaker  for yourselves.

(Silent reading  and listening to the text.)

T- So, let’s do some exercises. Please tell us if these sentences are true or false.

T- Very good. Thank you! You have understood the text well.

(Oral answering the teacher’s questions).

8. T- Thank you very much! I hope you have found out a lot! And now please finish  the sentences:

9. T – Now please stand up ! Look at me! We’ll do some fun!

T – All right. Very good! I hope you’ve had a rest!

10. T – And now we’ll watch  some  video about the sights  of this wonderful city. Please try to memorize them.

Now work in pairs. Please ask each other what the children have seen and where they have been.  Don’t forget about  Grammar! This is Present perfect. We use the verb have\has and the third form of the verb.  And in the special question we say “what” or “where” and then “have”. Don’t forget about it.

         11.     T- And now please answer my questions using your knowledge and text.

  12. T- And now it’s time for you to work.  We will listen to your projects about the famous sights of London.  

13. T- Thank you very much. And now translate the following sentences from Russian into English.
