Тема урока: Voronezh

Тип урока: Вводное занятие по теме.

Цели урока:

-Образовательные:

• продолжить формирование следующих специальных умений по предмету: вести диалог, создавать словесный социокультурный портрет, понимать высказывания на изучаемом иностранном языке;
• актуализировать знания о городе, в котором проживают студенты, расширить кругозор.

-Развивающие:

• создать условия для развития  коммуникативных навыков через разнообразные виды речевой деятельности (монологическая, диалогическая речь);
• создать условия для развития таких аналитических способностей учащихся, как умение анализировать, обобщать, делать выводы

-Воспитательные:

• содействовать формированию патриотических чувств;
• способствовать развитию культуры взаимоотношений при работе в парах, коллективе;

Форма урока: урок – экскурсия

На уроке были реализованы следующие принципы:

- Научности,

- Наглядности,

- Последовательности и систематичности,

- Доступности,

- Сознательности и активности

Оборудование: мультимедиапроектор, компьютер, презентация в формате Power Point, карточки с заданиями.

Ожидаемые результаты: ожидается, что в ходе урока студенты научатся обобщать и систематизировать информацию о родном городе и смогут построить связное монологическое высказывание.

Этапы урока.

1 этап. Организация начала занятия. (1 мин)

Задача: Введение учащихся в атмосферу иноязычного общения. Эмоциональное вхождение в урок. Концентрация внимания учеников на восприятие иноязычной речи.

Содержание речи учителя: - Hello, students! Hello, dear colleagues! I am glad to see you at the lesson. How are you today?

- Who is absent today? Oh, what a pity! I hope she’ll be OK soon.

2 этап. Начало урока. (10 минут)

Задача: Постановка цели. Наличие ориентировки учащихся на предстоящую деятельность; постановка целей предстоящей деятельности обучающимися.

Содержание речи учителя: - Today we are going to welcome an interesting guest. Here he is. Let’s ask some questions to him in order to guess his name. Then we’ll try to find out the topic of the lesson and his connection to it.

Студенты задают следующие вопросы:

1. What is your name?                         My name is Peter.

2. How old are you?                         I’m 343 years old.

3. Where are you from?                        I’m from Russia.

4. What do you do?                        I reign (rule) the country.

5. Are you married?                Yes, I am. My wife’s name is Catherine.

6. What is your hobby?        I like travelling, I have travelled to Europe. Especially I like Holland. Also I like military activity, everything connected to the Army and the Fleet.

7. What do you look like?        I am tall, very tall, about 2,04 meters, good-looking. I have black wavy hair, big brown eyes. My head is not very big, but my hands are huge. My legs are very long and thin.

8. What personality do you have?        I am very energetic, impatient, active and hard-working. I hate old-fashioned things.

Teacher: Ok. Can you guess the person? Why have we invited him? (Выслушать ответы студентов) Great!

3 этап. Подготовка учебной деятельности (20 минут)

Задача: Актуализация знаний, совершенствование навыков говорения, умение работать в парах в форме викторины.

Содержание речи учителя: - Today we are going to have a trip to Voronezh, the city where we are living now. Before our tour let’s have a short quiz in order to see how well you know the history of this lovely city. Peter the Great is going to help us.

Студентам раздаются вопросы викторины и предполагаемые ответы, из которых необходимо выбрать правильные.

Задача: Активизация грамматических единиц, активный и пассивный залог.

Содержание речи учителя: Teacher: So we can see that Voronezh is a historical centre. Now I want you to read a short text about some historical information. While reading, put the verbs into the correct tense, active or passive voice.

The town (to situate) on both banks of the Voronezh river. Voronezh (to become) the birthplace of the Russian fleet in the 17th century. In the 18-19th centuries Voronezh (to be) a small provincial town. During the last century Voronezh (to become) an important industrial and cultural centre. Voronezh (to be) greatly destroyed during the Great Patriotic war. But the fascists (to be stopped) here in 1942. They (not to go) farther than the right bank of the river. 5 этап. Развитие навыков диалогической речи. (20 минут)

Задача: совершенствование навыков говорения, осуществление работы в парах, развитие культуры общения.

Содержание речи учителя: Voronezh is an educational centre. There are 37 establishments of higher education, 53 colleges, where 127 000 students study. There are 128 schools and 116 kindergartens in Voronezh where 118 000 children study. Look at photos. Do you know the names of these universities, colleges? Студенты называют предполагаемые названия данных учебных заведений.

Teacher: Let’s look! This is Alex. He is meeting his friend from school who he hasn’t seen for 1 year. Listen what they are talking about.

Liza: Hello, Alex! Haven’t seen you for ages. How are you getting on?

Alex: Hello, Liza. I’m fine, thank you. And you?

Liza: Very well, thanks. Where are you studying now? You left school, didn’t you?

Alex: I’m studying at Voronezh Law School. It is one of the best colleges in Russia. Over 14 000 specialists got qualifications here. Over 700 students are studying now. Over 50 qualified and experienced teachers are teaching here.

Liza: What qualification areyou getting?

Alex: I am studying to be a lawyer at Social Departments such as Pension Fund of the Russian Federation or other Social Security Systems. Some of my friends are going to be accountants, others will work in Judicial System or courts.

Liza: Happy to hear that. How old is Voronezh Law School?

Alex: It is 40 years old. It is the best establishment of professional education with nice traditions.

Liza: Are there any facilities for students at Voronezh Law School?

Alex: A lot. Students can visit the library to prepare for their reports and do their homework. There is an access to the Internet. The classrooms are well-equipped with computers and projectors. Students can use the gym and attend dancing or song lessons, play volleyball and basketball. Life at my college is very interesting.

Liza: Thank you, Alex, for the information. I will recommend Voronezh Law School to my friends.

2. Voronezh State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering, 10 000 students are studying, about 1000 teachers, an engineer of Civil Engineering, 8 faculties, 85 years old, a library, a swimming pool, a computer centre.

3. Voronezh State Agricultural University, 15 000 students are studying, over 600 teachers, a specialist in agricultural science, 8 faculties, 103 years old, a library with 1,2 mil. books.

4. Voronezh  State Technical University, 12000 students are studying, over 700 teachers, a computer engineer, 1 institute, 4 faculties, 60 years old, a research centre, a library.

Teacher: Voronezh is a cultural centre. I would like to introduce a professional guide to you. He is going to help us to see sights of our beautiful city. Andrey, you are welcome. There are 6 theatres, 8 cinemas, 10 museums, 1 circus, 2 zoos, 4 big libraries, about 30 monuments, about 25 parks and squares, 3 concert halls.

Look at the pictures of some famous and popular places of Voronezh. Which of them would you like to visit or see? Why?

6 этап. Развитие навыков аудирования. (20 минут)

Задача: совершенствование навыков аудирования.

Содержание речи учителя: We are going to continue our trip around Voronezh. A professional guide is visiting us. He is telling us about famous and popular sights of the city.

Guide: God morning, dear tourists. I want to tell you some interesting facts about Voronezh. (Студент рассказывает о достопримечательностях, изображенных на презентации). And now I want you to tell me what sightseeing you would like to see or visit and explain why. (Студенты называют достопримечательность, которую они хотели бы посетить или увидеть и объясняют почему.)

6 этап. Рефлексия. (5 минут)

Задача: Самоанализ работы. Объяснение домашнего задания, оценка работы студентов. Формирование мотивации к дальнейшему изучению языка через осознание успешности обучения.

Содержание речи учителя: Did you like our lesson? How did you work? What did you know? Discuss the questions in groups. So students, you have worked well at the lesson today. You were active, polite and friendly. Thank you for your good work. Your marks are only excellent.  The lesson is over. Hope you enjoyed the lesson too.

Тема «Воронеж» является актуальной и позволяет создать благоприятные условия для совершенствования коммуникативных умений в следующих основных видах речевой деятельности (говорение, аудирование), формирования патриотических чувств, повышения уровня мотивации на уроках через средства обучения, воспитания культуры общения.
