Класс 8

Тема урока: Brain Ring

Цели:

1. повышение мотивации к изучению английского языка; 

2. развитие познавательных интересов;

3. повышение общей эрудиции учащихся; 

Задачи: 

• Проверка, расширение и углубление знаний учащихся по английскому языку.
• Стимулирование интереса учащихся к изучению иностранного языка.
• Всестороннее развитие личности, включая логическое мышление, внимание, смекалку, догадку, быстроту реакций у учащихся.
• Развитие эмоционально- волевой и духовно- нравственной сфер личности и толерантного отношения к одноклассникам.
• Помощь учащимся в формировании мировоззрения.
• Развитие творческих и артистических способностей, самостоятельности, эстетических вкусов.
• Воспитание чувства товарищества.
• Усовершенствование знаний, привычек и умений, приобретённых на уроках английского языка.
• Воспитание любви и уважения к языку, который изучается.

Оборудование: презентация, раздаточный материал (карточки с заданиями).

Ход мероприятия.

I. Приветствие ведущего.

Teacher: Good afternoon, boys and girls! I am very glad to see you. Now we shall organize a competition called “Brain Ring”. Two teams will take part in a game. It is time to introduce yourselves. Who is the captain of the first team?

Pupil 1: I am the captain of the team. The name of our team is “Smart pupils”. Our motto is “Learn English!”

Teacher: Who is the captain of the second team?

Pupil 2: I am the captain of the team. The name of our team is “Optimists”. Our motto is “EnjoyEnglish!”

(Состав команд, их названия и девиз определяются заранее.)

Teacher: Today all of you have a good chance to improve your English. Now I have invited a jury. During our game they will give you marks. The members of our jury are …

Задание 1

The next work will be very interesting for you because on the blackboard there is a «snake » where you should find 10 words. The last letter of one word is the first letter of the next.

 Команды называют по слову. Если команда затруднится ответить - слово передаётся следующей.

Our next contest is called “Riddles”. You can get one point for each right answer.

На слайде -  загадка, читают вслух. Кто первый поднял руку, тот и отвечает и получает балл.

Задание 3

And now we come to the third contest which is called “Fantastic reading”. I need 3 pupils from each team. You should read the tongue-twister as quickly as you can for 3 times.

of proverbs. You should match the beginning and the ending of them and try to translate
into Russia. I give you 5 minutes.

9. It is never too late to leam.- Учиться никогда не поздно.
10. А friend in need is a friend indeed.- Друзья познаются в беде
11. So many countries, so many customs.- Сколько стран, столько и обычаев.
12. Good health is above wealth.- Доброе здоровье дороже богатство.

Задание 5

Звучат песни на английском языке в исполнении известных групп. Дать название группы или песни. После ответа на слайде фото группы и небольшая историческая справка.
