Фестиваль педагогических идей
Тема: «What is London famous for.»
Цель урока: формирование коммуникативных знаний, умений, навыков учащихся по теме: «Лондон».
Задачи: учебная – развивать навыки коммуникативной деятельности.
Развивать у учащихся речевые умения аудирования и говорения (в монологической и диалогической форме)
познавательная – ознакомить учащихся с достопримечательностями Лондона;
Формировать культуру чтения, интерес и доброжелательное отношение к культуре страны изучаемого языка.
Воспитательная – воспитывать толерантное отношение к другим народам, потребности и способности понимать их образ жизни и культуру;
Оборудование урока: компьютер, мультимедиа проектор.
Ход урока.
- Организационно-мотивационный этап урока .
T: Good morning, children. I’m happy to greet you at our English lesson. I think that everybody is ready for work. I am glad to see you happy and healthy today.
The topic of our lesson is “What is London famous for.” Today we are going to have an interesting tour together. So the aim of our lesson is to get as much information about London as possible. We’ll do a lot of interesting tasks: work with our words and expressions, train our memory, work with the texts. Now let’s start our lesson.
Boys and girls! Look here. This is the motto of our lesson. Let’s read it. Sasha, translate it.
- T: Before we start our tour there are some phonetic exercises for you. Listen and repeat.
- Now we start our tour. As usual we have a guide. Ann will be our guide.
- Hello. I’m your guide.

- I’ll show you around London today. Where would you like to go?
- We would like to visit the Houses of Parliament, Big Ben, Trafalgar Square, St. Paul’s Cathedral, some museums and so on.

London is the capital of Great Britain. It is а mixture of old and new buildings and there is a lot to see and learn about. There are a lot of theatres, cinemas and parks in London. Most parks are free in the capital of Great Britain. Hyde Park is famous for its entertainments and its Speaker’s Corner. Regent’s Park is beautiful with its boating lake and its open-air theatre. You can see the famous fairy-tale hero, Peter Pen, in Kensington Gardens.
London is rich in museums and Art galleries. Madam Tussaud’s museum has one of the largest collections of wax models in the world. Tourists enjoy their visit to the Museum of the Moving Image. The history and magic of cinema and TV is explained there. Tourists in London always want to visit Westminster and see Big Ben. The famous clock stands near the Houses of Parliament. The symbol of Great Britain is Westminster Abbey.
Londoners are proud of their city. It is full of beauty and harmony. It is one of the most famous and interesting cities in Europe.
