Урок английского языка в 5 классе по теме «A trip to London»

Цели урока:

1. Развитие лексических навыков

2.Тренировка монологической  речи по теме « Достопримечательности Лондона»

 3.Тренировка  навыков аудирования

Задачи урока:

Образовательные:

 ознакомить учащихся с новым страноведческим материалом по теме «Лондон »;

 практиковать речевую деятельность: аудирование и монологическую речь;

 активизировать лексику по теме, расширять словарный запас;

Развивающие:

 развивать умение сравнивать и обобщать изучаемый материал;

 развивать умение высказать свое мнение на английском языке;

Воспитательные:

воспитывать уважительное отношение к культуре и истории другой страны;

 воспитывать умение работать в паре;

 расширять кругозор учащихся.

Форма урока: урок – путешествие.

Оборудование: аудио-запись про Лондон, видеоматериал о Лондоне, слайдовая презентация,компьютер

I.Организационный момент

 -Good morning,  children!( Good morning, teacher!)

 - I am glad to see you . ( We are glad to see you too.)

 -How are you? ( I am fine/ very well, thank you. And how are you?)

 I am fine too, thank you.

Today we shall have a talk about the sights of London. ( Учитель называет тему урока и настраивает детей на беседу по теме «Достопримечательности Лондона».) But first, I want to ask you some questions about this city and see what you know about it:

 What is London?

 Where is it situated?

 On what river does London stand?

 Is it an old city?

II.Фонетическая зарядка

1.-Let’s listen to the words on the topic “London”. Can you guess their meaning? Now I want you to look at this words and read them after the speaker.

 Учитель предлагает детям прослушать слова из упр. №15 стр. 65 из учебника и догадаться об их значении. Затем ученики читают слова за диктором. Слова на доске, дети читают под фонограмму (читают слушая. Это упражнение выполняется для работы над произносительной стороной речи, включает новые и известные слова.  Упражнение так же   тренирует лексические навыки по теме «Лондон».)

Уч-ки повторяют слова упр.17 стр.66

III. Речевая разминка

-Let’s play  the game «Agree or disagree». Listen to my sentences, please. Repeat my statements if you agree with me and correct it if you disagree with me.

 -Trafalgar Square is in Moscow. (I disagree with you, because Trafalgar Square is in London.)

 -London is the capital of the UK. ( I agree with you, because  London is the capital of the UK.)

 -London is not an old city.( I disagree with you, because London is  an old city.)

 - There are  a lot of places of interest  in London. (I agree with you, because  there are  a lot of places of interest  in London.)

 - London is a beautiful city. (I agree with you, because London is a beautiful city.)

  IV.Тренировка  навыков аудирования.

 -You can see the pictures of some places in London on the blackboard. Can you name them? Listen to my stories and choose the pictures.

Рассказы учителя:  

 1.It is very old. It has a long and cruel history. You can see it from the river Thames It is not just one building. Many years ago the Kings and the Queens of Britain lived in this place.( The Tower of London).

2. It stands near the Houses of Parliament. It is really a bell. It weighs 13, 720 kilograms. It has a deep tone and you can hear it on the radio. It is a famous clock ( Big Ben).

 3.It is not far from the Houses of Parliament. It is a symbol or England. It was founded by ST. Peter and built by King Edward in 1065. Some famous people are buried there. (Westminster Abbey.)

4.They stand  beside the river Thames. You can also see them from Westminster Abbey. The country’s leaders speak at this place. The famous clock Big Ben stands near them.( The houses of Parliament)

V.Физкультминутка

T: I see that you are tired. Will you stand up? Let’s remember our poem about London and do exercises.

(Учащиеся и учитель вместе рассказывают стихотворение и выполняют упражнения.)

 Up, down, up, down,

(Поднимаем руки вверх и вниз)

 Which is the way

(Разводим руки в стороны)

 To London town?

 Where? Where?

(Поворачиваемся в стороны)

 Up in the air,

(Смотрим вверх)

 Close your eyes –

(Закрываем глаза)

 And you are there!

(Открываем глаза)
