Краткое описание:  интерактивный урок

Цели: Совершенствование эффективности урока, путём введения передовых педагогических технологий Совершенствование компетенции учащихся, при работе над практической направленностью обучения иностранным языкам Формирование творчески развитой личности.

Задачи: Формирование языковой, речевой и социокультурной компетенции учащихся а уроках иностранного языка Совершенствование урока через внедрение информационно – коммуникационных технологий Сохранение высокого качества обучения иностранным языкам и организация индивидуального и дифференцированного обучения и воспитания учащихся

A trip to Edinburgh.

1. Слайд 1. Звучит шотландская волынка, на экране сменяются виды Шотландии. (Приветствие, введение в тему, учитель читает эпиграф - куплет из неофициального гимна Шотландии), музыка стихает. Урок начинается с прочтения эпиграфа и вопросов об ассоциации музыки и страны и о теме разговора на уроке. Цель – вовлечь учащихся в речевую деятельность, пригласить к сотрудничеству).

1. Teacher: Hello, students. Glad to see you. Have you heard the music? What country is it associated with? What do you think we are going to speak about at the lesson? Quite right. It is Scotland. You have heard the words from an unofficial hymn of Scotland written by Cliff Hanley. The poet feels high and proud speaking about his native land.

Today we are going on a virtual trip to one of the most beautiful and mysterious countries in the world. We shall remember its cities, famous people, traditions, holidays and what not. But what is the most interesting – for some time we shall turn into real tourists, we’ll have to ask people for information, decide what sights to visit, so we'll practice using vocabulary of places, discuss a web – page, book rooms in a hotel, practice using "there is\there are" and so on.

   And of course, first of all we should start from practice our Key Words. Listen to the recording and repeat the words after the speaker.

2. Let's review spelling of these words. Write the letters in the correct order to make twelve words. Then find them in the word search.

3. Teacher: Thank you, it was great! And the next thing we usually do before going to anywhere is surching fo information about this or that place. Now tell me please what is the capital of Scotland?

– Right you are, it’s Edinburgh and it’s the place of our destination. (показывает на карте)

What do you know about this place? Read aloud the true\false sentences to know what information you need and then read the text marking the sentences true or false.

Giving your answers, don` forget about the correct pronunciation of the places. You have transcription for the most difficult ones on the blackboard. Repeat them after me, please.

4. Well done! But we can`t forget about grammar. And it`s time to practice our grammatical skills.

The task for you is to complete the table in ex.3 referring to the web page. This task is for individual work but before checking the answers you can compare them in pairs.

So, when do we use the singular and plural verb forms?

How do you say the sentences in your own language?

That`s right. At home you should learn this rule in your Grammar Summary 2.

5. Now look at the map of Edinburgh.

Work in pairs. Ask questions, using there is\are. One student asks questions with the places in singular and the other with the places in the plural. Answer in short sentences.

For example: - Is there a school?

                         - Yes, there is.        

                                  - Are there museums?

                         - Yes, there are.

Don’t forget you are all tourists. Imagine that you have just got the place you need and you are in front of some modern hotel. Your task is to book a room for two people. Have a look at your worksheets, make up short dialogues and dramatize them/

Worksheet 1. ( Работа в парах). Учащиеся получают рабочие листы с диалогами” At a hotel”, где реплики перемешаны. Задание – выстроить логически  и выразительно рассказать диалог. Цель – учиться расспрашивать собеседника в заданной ситуации с целью получения необходимой информации.

Treveller: Hello! I need a single room for three days.

Receptionist: Let me check whether we have any vacancies. We don't have any single rooms today, but there's a double room available.

Treveller:What is the daily rate for a double room?

Receptionist: It's ninety-eight dollars per night plus tax.

Treveller:Is breakfast included?

Receptionist:Yes, it is.

Treveller:Can I see the room?

Receptionist: Certainly. The bellboy will show you the room.

Treveller:All right, I'll take this room.

Teacher: And at last, after having a short rest in your room, we are going to have a look at this  magnificent place and make a conclusion about everything concerning to the topic  “Edinburgh”. Attention, please!

Try to find the places mentioned in the film and complete the sentences about them.

1. The National Gallery of Scotland has got ... (paintings by El Greco, Titian, Botticelli, Van Dyck, Monet and Cezanne).

  2. There isn't science museum in Edinburgh, but ... (there is an interesting Science Zone in the Royal Museum).
