Тема:  Подорожі.

Підтема:  Подорож  поїздом.

Мета:  Ознайомити  учнів  з  новою  лексикою  теми,  активізувати  вивчену  лексику  та  практикувати  її  вживання,  повторити  фонетичний  і  граматичний  матеріал ( ступені  порівняння  прикметників, минулий  неозначений  час ),    розвивати  навички  діалогічного  та  монологічного  мовлення,  читання,  розвивати  пам’ять,  мовленнєву  реакцію,  здогадку,  виховувати  культуру  спілкування,  пізнавальний  інтерес  до  вивчення  англійської  мови.

Обладнання:  малюнки  видів  транспорту,  кросворд,  таблиця  розкладу  руху,  роздавальний  матеріал  для  роботи  в  групах  ( НО ),  лото  «Неправильні  дієслова».

І. Організаційний  момент.

ІІ. Підготовка  до  сприйняття  іншомовного  мовлення.

     1. Привітання.

T:  Good  morning,  children.  Sit  down.  How  are  you?  How  do  you  feel?  Are  you  well?

Ps:  I’m  O. K.  I’m  fine.  I  feel  fine.

T:  Let’s  start  our  lesson.

     2. Повідомлення  теми  та  мети  уроку.  Мотивація  навчальної  діяльності.

T:  What  ways  of  travelling  do  you  know?

Ps:  Travelling  by  plane,  by  train,  by  car,  by  bus,  by  ship,  by  boat,  by  bicycle,  on  foot.

T:  Guess  the  words – means  of  travelling -   in  this  crossword.

T:  Read  the  word  in  bold  type  (  train  ).  You  are  right!  So,  today  we  shall  speak  about  travelling  by  train.  You  will  learn  new  words,  read  the  text  and  make  up  dialogues  about  travelling.

     Open  your  copy-books,  write  down  the  date.

     3. Уведення  в  іншомовну  атмосферу.

T:  Let’s  read  the  poem.

          Planes  are  faster  than  the  trains,

          Trains  are  cheaper  than  the  planes.

          I  like  travelling  on  foot,

          It  makes  healthy  me  and  good.

1). T:  Why  do  people  travel?

P1:  People  travel  on  business,  for  pleasure.

P2:  People  visit  their  relatives,  friends.

P3:  People  want  to  see  many  interesting  places.

2). Chain-work:  

T:  I  like  to  travel  by  car  and  by  bus.  And  what  about  you?

Ps:  I  like  to  travel  by  …

     3. Повторення  граматичного  матеріалу:  ступені  порівняння  прикметників.

1). T:  Translate  the  words  into  English:  зручний,  швидкий,  дорогий,  небезпечний,  цікавий,  повільний,  легкий,  приємний,  дешевий.  Make  up  sentences  with  these  words.

Example:  Travelling  by  bus  is  comfortable. 

2). Make  up  the  degrees  of  comparison  of  these  adjectives  (  fast – faster – the  fastest  ).  Make  up  sentences.

Example:  Travelling  by  ship  is  faster  than  by  boat.

                Travelling  by  plane  is  the  most  dangerous  way  of  travelling.

     4. Робота  в  парах.

1). Match  the  questions  with  the  answers.

2). Act  out  the  dialogue.

     5.  Ознайомлення  учнів  з  новими  лексичними  одиницями.

1). T ( shows  the  pictures ):  This  is  a  train.  This  is  an  engine.  This  is  an  engine-driver.  The  engine-driver  drives  the  train.  The  train  stops  at  the  railway  station.  These  are  passengers.  They  are  going  to  travel  by  train.  They  must  come  in  time  or  they  can  miss  the  train.  The  engine-driver  doesn’t  wait  for  the  passengers.

Open  your  vocabularies  and  write  down  the  words:

engine-driver –  машиніст;

railway  station –  залізничний  вокзал;

passenger –  пасажир;

to  miss –  запізнитися;

to  wait –  чекати.

2). Закріплення  засвоєння  лексики.  

T:  Make  up  word-combinations  and  sentences  with  the  new  words.

     6. Робота  з  підручником.  Подання  діалогу  для  читання,  вправа  2  стор. 122.

1). Етап  підготовки  до  читання.

Активізація  ЛО:

Hurry  up! – Поквапся!

Don’t  be  a  bother! – Не  будь  надокучливою!

whistle – свисток

enjoy  the  countryside – насолоджуватися  краєвидом.

2). Етап  читання.

Read  the  dialogue  in  pairs.

3). Етап  перевірки  розуміння  змісту  діалогу.

T:  Answer  my  questions.

- Where  do  the  trains  stop?

- Why  do  the  passengers  usually  hurry  up?

- When  must  the  passengers  take  their  seats?

- How  do  people  know  that  the  train  starts?

- Who  drives  the  train?

     7. Повторення  граматичного  матеріалу – минулий  неозначений  час.

T:  Let’s  repeat  the  verbs  in  Past  Indefinite.  Open  your  books  on  page  202.  Use  the  table  “Irregular  Verbs”.  

приходити –  come – came;

давати – give – gave;

мати – have – had;

бачити – see – saw;

брати – take – took.

Make  the  forms  of  Past  Indefinite  of  the  verbs:  travel – travelled;  start – started;  enjoy – enjoyed.

     8. Робота  в  групах.

T:  And  now  I  want  you  to  join  into  groups  of  four.  The  leaders  of  the  groups  are: …

1). Гра  «Лото».  Учні  складають  лото  з  форм  неправильних  дієслів.

Make  two  forms  of  the  following  irregular  verbs  with  their  translation.

2). Fill  in  the  blanks  in  the  text  with  the  correct  forms  of  the  verbs  ( HO1 ).  Write  down  the  sentences  into  your  copy-books.  (  Учні  по  черзі  пишуть  речення  на  дошці,  всі  останні – в  зошитах ).  Translate  them  into  Ukrainian.

3). Work  in  two  groups.  

     Group  1:  Talk  about  the  advantages  of  travelling  by  train. Use  the  table       ( HO2 ).

     Group  2:  Talk  about  the  disadvantages  of  travelling  by  train.  Use  the  table           ( HO2 ).

9. Рольова  гра.  Робота  в  парах.

Read  the  dialogue  in  pairs.  Make  up  your  own  dialogues  and  act  them  with  your  partners.  Use  the  table.  You  have  2  minutes.
