«Environment Problems of our village»
Задачи урока:
- контролировать умения и навыки учащихся вести беседу, высказывая свое мнение по теме;
- развитие памяти, умения обобщать, делать выводы;
- формирование экологической грамотности, чувства любви к природе и ответственность за ее сохранение.
Оборудование:
карта поселка, фотографии природных уголков родной деревни, стенгазета на экологические темы, аудиозаписи, компьютер и проектор.
Ход урока
- Начало урока. Приветствие. Введение в тему урока.
Good afternoon, children. Today we are going to discuss the environment problems of our village and show what way we can help.
- Фонетическая разминка.
Children, do you like our village? Do you like its forests and rivers, fields and meadows? Let’s look at the beautiful views of our village! Do you want to see our village clean and tidy? ( ответы учеников)
- Повторение лексики по теме
Litter, garbage, garbage can, ugly, spoil, disease, litterbug, fence etc.
Match the words on the left with the definitions on the right

Т: You know that people all over the world are worried about the environment. Our village is nice and beautiful. It is large. There are some ecological problems in our village as not only in Russia but in the whole world.
The most important problem is pollution. What are the reasons for it?
P1: I think people throw away too much litter. There is a lot of litter everywhere.
P2: different kinds of transport make this problem serious.
P3: in my opinion we know the rules but don’t remember them when we go hiking or fishing or just walking in the forest.
T: Yes, these problems are very serious. Let’s discuss them and find way we can help.
P: People, don’t harm plants!
Paper comes from trees. If we don’t recycle paper, a lot of trees are destroyed.
People cut down trees. Fires are started. We like flowers very much, but people shouldn’t pick wild flowers.
If trees are destroyed and people pick flowers and grass, birds and animals become extinct.
P: People, help to keep water clean!
We have litter near the river and springs. The water is polluted that it is not clean to swim.
P: People protect animals and fish!
Many years ago Medveditsa was deep and wide. People sailed on the river and used to fish a lot. Today people like fishing too.
P: Plant trees and flowers!
We can see different kinds of trees and flowers in the meadows near our village. But today they are disappearing. Each of us must do everything possible to protect nature.
P: Take care of birds and animals!
There are many animals and birds in our village. We should not make unnecessary noise. If we don’t keep to public paths in the countryside, birds and animals are frightened.
- Физкультминутка.
T: Children, let’s play. Проводится игра « The Rag Man» (дети изображают старьевщика с мешком)
The rag man comes today,
He sings his song this way:
“Old bottles, paper or rags,

Your classmates prepare some information about the eco problems in our district and village. Let’s listen and fill in the answers to the questions.
“ You know that polluted air, water and land are harmful to plants, animals and people.
60% of air pollution is caused by different means of transport: cars, tractors, trucks.
Modern lifestyle, in which people do little exercise, use cars instead of walking, watch television for many hours and work with computers is leading us to catastrophe.
We have to do something about this. We must take part in actions for cleaning up, tree and flower planting, protecting wildlife and organizing outdoor activities”
