Открытый урок  английского языка по темам:

”Holidays” и ”Food”

в VI классе

.

Урок: обобщение по темам ”Holidays” и ”Food” в VI классе.

Тема урока: Праздники в Англии.

Цель урока: Развитие умений устной речи и чтения по теме урока.

Задачи урока:

1. Развитие умений учащихся в использовании лексики; развитие монологической и диалогической речи по теме «Праздники»; развитие умений просмотрового чтения.

        2.  Воспитание   культуры   поведения учащихся.

        3.  Повышение интереса учащихся к изучению иностранного языка.

        4. Развитие познавательной активности и творческих способностей учащихся.

Ход урока

I. Речевая зарядка с целью создания учебной речевой ситуации.

Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen. We are meeting again at our "Gentlemen's Club". The nicest and the cleverest ladies of the 6th form are invited to our club. It's a great pleasure to welcome you here. I'd like you to meet the ladies. (Леди знакомятся с джентльменами, сидя за столами по 4 человека: 2 мальчика - 2 девочки).

Lady (L): How do you do? My name is Ann.

Gentlemen (G): How do you do, Ann? It's nice to meet you. I am Peter.

 L: It's nice to meet you too.

             G: What do you do, Ann?

             L: I go to school.

            G: What are your hobbies?

            L: I collect books on arts.

           G: Do you play any sports?

 L: Yes, I do.  I play tennis and I like swimming very much.

II. Ladies and gentlemen, you had a lot of time to get to know each other. It's time to start our meeting. The theme of the meeting is "The English Holidays". According to an old tradition of our club gentlemen give I flowers to ladies. Dear ladies, you can find tasks written on the tips of the flowers (на I лепестках написаны задания: рассказать! стихотворение об английских праздниках). Please recite the short poems.

        And get a Christmas tree.

Christmas Message

The snowman

Come to the garden

III. Dear ladies, will you, please, go for a walk with us in our club park. There's a stream here. There are 9 stones in it to cross the river. Gentlemen should help ladies to cross the river.

Мальчик берет девочку за руку и помогает ей наступить на импровизированные камешки. Наступая на камешки, мальчик произносит слово из темы «Праздники» - на русском языке, а девочка переводит его на английский язык.

Далее задание усложняется - наступая на камешки, девочка должна назвать девять предложений по теме «Праздники».

1.        People celebrate Christmas Day on December 25.

2. The English decorate Christmas trees.
3. They begin to prepare for the holiday some weeks before.

  4. People are busy buying presents for their relatives and friends.

   5.        The traditional Christmas food is a roast turkey.

     6.        Santa Claus puts presents into the children's stockings.

     7 Traditionally children write letters to Santa Claus.

                     8. The English usually go to church on the 25lK of December.

    9.        Christmas is the greatest religious holiday.

IV. Sir, the last newspapers were delivered to our club. Let's discuss the news and the articles.

                    Easter Celebrations

The word Easter comes from the Anglo-Saxon goddess of the dawn whose spring festival was celebrated in April. Easter is the religious holiday celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ, the son of God.

Long ago some people believed that the earth appeared from a gigantic egg. On Easter Sunday families and friends exchange chocolate eggs. This custom dates back to ancient times when Egyptians and Persians used to paint eggs in bright colours to represent the sunlight of spring and give them to friends as a symbol of new life.

Easter rabbits symbolize the moon, new life and birth. All around the world many people believe that the Easter rabbit or bunny brings eggs and hides them for children on Easter morning.

The Romans celebrated the Easter season by running races on an oval track and giving eggs as prizes. One of the traditional Easter-egg games is the Easter Egg Roll.

Perhaps the most famous egg rolling takes place on the White House Lawn in Washington. Hundreds of children come with baskets filled with brightly decorated eggs and roll them down hoping the president of the United States is watching the fun.

New Year.

At midnight on the 31st of December bells will ring out around the world to welcome the New Year. There are also many other interesting New Year celebrations and customs.

In Europe many people prepare special food. Swiss women bake bread, rich in butter, eggs and raisins. They also cook roast goose. Children go from house to house greeting people and going inside.

People in Italy hold parties with salt pork and lentils on the menu. Lentils arc supposed to be lucky and bring money, perhaps because they look like small piles of gold coins.

In Spain it is customary to eat 12 grapes in champagne at midnight on New Year's Eve. Groups of friends visit restaurants in Turkey where they spend the night and give and get presents. Some people in Greece play cards, hoping that a win will bring them luck for a whole year.

New Year myths are very old. New Year means new beginnings, so, for example, in Italy people throw old clothes, broken cups and plates out of the windows. An old English custom was to burn juniper inside the house while the doors and windows were closed - to fumigate the home and people for the coming year. When they couldn't stand the smell any more, they ran out of the house, breathing in cold fresh air.

Учащиеся обсуждают прочитанные статьи. Игра «Снежный ком». Первый учащийся называет свое предложение для пересказа прочитанного, второй - повторяет услышанное предложение и добавляет свое, третий - повторяет первые два предложения и добавляет еще одно и т.д. Цель этапа: развивать навыки просмотрового чтения и монологической речи, учащихся на основе прочитанного.

(Девочки выбирают карточки с названиями продуктов, которые необходимы им для приготовления выбранного блюда, и рассказывают рецепт его приготовления.)

Recipe

1. Mix the flour and baking powder.

             2. Add the butter, sugar, raisins, an egg and milk.

           3.Roll out the pastry to about I am thick.

          4. Cut into circles.

            5.Bake for 15-20 minutes in a hot oven. Enjoy your scones.
