Конспект открытого урока в 10 классе
Тема: Молодежная субкультура.
Тип урока: Урок совершенствования навыков иноязычного говорения
(По Е.И. Пассову)
Цели:
Познавательный аспект:
- Активизировать изученную лексику по теме;
- Совершенствовать речевые знания и умения учащихся на основе проектных работ по теме;
Развивающий аспект:
- Учить детей делать презентации творческих проектов.
- Развивать умения и навыки аудирования, монологической и диалогической речи
3. Развивать способность к догадке (по словообразовательным элементам, по аналогии с русским языком), к сравнению и сопоставлению речевых единиц.
Воспитательный аспект:
- Формировать толерантное отношение и уважение к мнениям других людей и представителям различных групп.
Лексический материал: Psychedelic, distinct, identity, Improvisation, psychedelic,
reggae, scooter, techno, warehouse, subculture, biker, ty, liberal, option, to rebel,
rebellion,
to reject, to try out, violent goth, hacker, rave, rocker, skinhead, aggressive, to conform

Оборудование: доска, мел, учебники, магнитофон, аудио-кассета с записью диалога, наушники, компьютер, мультимедиа-проектор, экран.

Subculture is a group of people with a distinct style and identity. Different subcultures have their own beliefs, value system, fashion, and favourite music.

1.Организационный момент:
English teacher. Good morning, dear friends! Glad to see you! Is everything good? Do you remember our topic? Yes, you are quite right: we are going to work on the topic “Youth Subculture” today. We’ll speak very much about subculture, listen to your projects of different subcultures and you’ll do a test at the end of the lesson. Let’s begin.

1 ) Фонетическая зарядка.
Let’s read and pronounce the words correctly: Psychedelic, distinct, identity,
Improvisation, Psychedelic, reggae, scooter, techno, warehouse, subculture, biker, try,
liberal, option, to rebel, rebellion, to reject, to try out, violent goth, hacker, rave, rocker,
skinhead, aggressive, to conform to….
2) Речевая зарядка:
The epigraph for our lesson may be: A danger foreseen - half avoided. Do you know any more proverbs for our topic? Who names the most of all?
So today we are going to speak and listen to the text how do teens express their individuality and choose their subculture. By the way, how do you understand the word “ SUBCULTURE”?
Pupils: A subculture is a group of people with a distinct style and identity.
Different subcultures have their own beliefs, values, fashion and
favourite music.
Teacher: So, the main features of any subculture are: image, values and beliefs
and music.
- Well, What are the main features of Subculture?
3) Аудирование диалогов.
We can hear such talks between young people everywhere in the streets, at home, at school, on TV-screens. They speak about things which are interesting for them. Open your books on page number 92 and listen to the dialogs. Read and act them in pairs.

Now we’ll see some presentations of different subcultures prepared by our pupils.
By the end of the 60s teenagers had begun to unite and form different cultural groupings. They continue to exist nowadays too. What do you know about them?

5) For the next task take these cards, match two columns and finish the phrases in pairs and you will answer the question “Why do teens choose a subculture?”

4. to protest d) all sort of options
5. to try out e) their identity
6. not to conform to f) society standards
7. to reject g) their own values and beliefs

6) And now to summarize all the information about different subcultures do the next task and check yourselves:
1. Rockers wear a) leather jackets and army boots.
b) Short jackets or short blazer jackets.
c) Tight trousers and heavy boots.
2. Mods have a) very short hair. b) college- style hair. c) very black hair.
3. …. don’t protest against their parents.

4. …. prefer aggressive music. a Punks b) Skinheads c) Goths
5. Goths usually talk about a) favourite films.

Teacher: Some people think that all subcultures are awful and dangerous. As for me I think this opinion is not absolutely right. For example Bill Clinton was a hippie in his youth and later he became the president of the USA. No matter what subculture a person may choose he should always follow one of the hippies’ favourite sayings: “ Make love, not war!” because “Everything that brings people together is good, everything that draws them apart is evil. Love is the most powerful thing that brings people together.”
