Важность работы с материалом  краеведческого характера на уроках английского языка

     Изучение краеведческого материала на уроках иностранного языка важно и интересно было всегда и остаётся важным в наши дни. Учащиеся обычно проявляют особую активность на уроках, которые соприкасаются с темой родного города – места, где они родились, растут, учатся и, возможно, будут жить и трудиться здесь в будущем. Их интересует богатая история Лобни, её традиции.

     Но особая гордость лобненских школьников – это люди, которые жили и живут ныне в нашем небольшом, но уютном подмосковном городке. Среди них учёные, спортсмены, писатели, изобретатели, актёры, дикторы телевидения, строители атомных станций…    

    Одним из таких людей является лётчик, Герой Советского Союза Борисов Василий Александрович, чьё имя носит наша школа с апреля 1995 года.

     12 апреля 2013 года в школе был большой праздник, посвященный 100-летнему юбилею со дня рождения Бориссова ВА.

     К этому событию я подготовила и провела урок-игру «Счастливый случай», посвящённый Борисову Василию Александровичу и некоторым фактам истории авиации.

     Такие уроки на основе краеведческого материала расширяют кругозор учащихся, «повышают интерес к истории родного края, формирует такие качества, как активность и ответственность за будущее своей малой родины. Кроме того, введение краеведческого материала оказывает положительное влияние на практическое владение иностранным языком: обогащается словарный запас школьника, приобретаются новые знания, развиваются речевые умения.

     Задача учителя иностранного языка – найти оптимальные приёмы введения краеведческого материала в процесс обучения иностранному языку, которые позволяют реализовывать воспитательную задачу, а именно: сформировать у школьников чувство патриотизма» (1). Эти уроки оставляют след в душах детей.

     Предлагаю вашему вниманию план урока-игры, посвящённый Герою Советского Союза, первому директору аэропорта Шереметьево, Почётному жителю города Лобни, замечательному человеку, другу учащихся и учителей бывшей средней школы № 3, ныне МБОУ СОШ № 3 имени Борисова Василия Александровича.

Тема: «Биография. Борисов В.А.»

Практические задачи:

1) научить строить устные     высказывания в Past Indefinite;

2) совершенствовать    навыки    говорения    учащихся    по    теме «Биография» в монологических высказываниях из 20-22 фраз.

Воспитательная и развивающая задачи:

1) воспитывать чувство уважения к людям, прошедшим войну, сделавшим много для нашей Родины;

2) развивать познавательный интерес к людям, живущим в нашем городе;

3) развивать внимание, быстроту речевой реакции.

1.        Good morning, children! Today we have a lot of guests. So, let us greet them.

(Данный альбом -  «Ими гордится наш город» -  ведётся учащимися, где собран материал о знаменитых людях города).

Teacher:  Today we are going to speak about aviation and aviators, about pilots and V.A. Borisov a Hero of the Soviet Union, the honorary member of our town and the man who gave his name to our school. He is dead now and we shall speak in the Past Indefinite. So we must revise the second form of the verbs: regular and irregular.

I've prepared today's lesson as a game «Lucky Chance».

First of all let me introduce the teams:

1.        V.A. Borisov. This name of the Hero of the Soviet Union is known to everybody in our small town. His life and wok are of a great example to all young people.

V.A. Borisov was born in the village of Gora Ponevits in Kalinin (now Twer') region on the 12-th of April, 1913.

When he was a schoolboy, his favourite subjects were physics and mathematics. He read a lot of books and he was found of music.

2. V.A. Borisov began to fly while he was a student of a technical secondary school in Saratov. After finishing Saratov school in 1933 he entered the flying school in Tambov and two years later became a commander of pilots' group in the Far East.
3. The summer of 1941 was terrible for our people and V.A. went as volunteer to the front. He was a great patriot of our country. He fought bravely. He made many flights to bomb the German fascists. He did it well and the Government made him a Hero of the Soviet Union and awarded him the Gold Star Medal.
4. After the  Second  World  War V.A. Borisov  worked  in Moscow.  But when the  airport «Sheremetyevo» had been built, he became the first director of the airport and moved with his family to Lobnya. His house was in Zarechnaya Street. Now this street has a new name: Borisov Street.

V.A. flew to the North Pole. He helped our scientists in the Antarctic Continent.

5. When he became a pensioner he continued to live an active life. He loved children very much and often was the guest of our pupils. In 1977 the pioneer organization of our school was named after V.A. Borisov. And both he and pioneers were proud of it. They became real and close friends:   they   worked   together   in   subbotniks,   pupils   were   invited  to   the   museum   in Sheremetyevo by V.A.
6. After his death on the 20-th of April 1993 the schoolchildren were sorrowed and decided to ask the Town Administration to award the name of V.A.Borisov to our school. So it was done in April 1995. And now we are proud of this fact.
7. In 1999 a bust of Borisov VA was opened in our school. It is situated on the ground floor. There are always flowers there. The author of the bust is a young sculptor. Her name is Olesya. Many guests were invited and present that day, when the bust was opened. All of them knew VA very well. They were his friends, relatives and pilots who worked with him.
8. It was a real holiday for them (his friends) and for us, children, our parents and our teachers. And on the 12th of April,2001 the first exposition of a museum, devoted to the Hero of the Soviet Union, the honorary member of our town, a pilot and our friend VA Borisov was opened.
9. On the  12th of  April, 2013 , our school celebrated the 100th anniversary of V.A. Borisov’s  birthday. There were many guests: his students, his grandchildren and grandgrandchildren. They spoke about their granddad, the traditions in their family, connected with Vasily Alexandravich. Our pupils and teachers prepared a concert. It was great – the concert and the holiday.

You showed that you knew the history of our school and an interesting man V.A. Borisov who was dear to us. Thank you for that. I enjoyed every minute of our lesson.
