Аннотация к уроку.

Урок "A Trip to London" подготовлен для учащихся 5- х классов общеобразовательных школ, изучающих английский язык по программе М. З. Биболетовой “Enjoy English”. Данный урок предусмотрен в качестве обобщающего по теме: “Learning More About London” (IV четверть.) Занятие построено в форме путешествия по Лондону с осмотром его достопримечательностей. На уроке были использованы разнообразные приёмы и методы здоровьесберегающей технологии (игровые моменты и музыкальное оформление для благоприятного воздействия на эмоциональную сферу учащихся, физкультминутки), информационной технологии, методы самоконтроля, рефлексия. Урок объединён единым сюжетом. Школьники участвовали во всех видах деятельности: аудирование, письмо, диалогические и монологические высказывания, чтение и работа с текстом. На уроке использовались различные упражнения на закрепление лексики и грамматики.

Тема: “A trip to London”.

Цели и задачи урока:

1. Активизация  изученной лексики по теме: «Learning More About  London»;

1. Совершенствование грамматических навыков;
2. Совершенствование навыков монологической и диалогической речи;
3. Развитие навыков чтения;
4. Совершенствование навыков работы с текстом;
5. Повышение мотивации учащихся к уроку через эмоциональное восприятие английского фольклора, музыки, наглядности;

Оборудование  и раздаточный материал: карта Белгородской области, плакат с достопримечательностями и картой Лондона; картинки; плакаты с заданиями;  мультимедийная установка;  диски «Успокаивающие звуки природы» («Морской прибой»); распечатка текста о Букингемском дворце, буквы на магнитах;   картинки с изображением солнца для рефлексии;

I этап. Вводно-мотивационный этап.

  T.:   Dear children, let me introduce myself. My name is Svetlana Grigorjeva. I am an English teacher here at the hospital. Will you tell me your names and where do you live? Will you show your town or village on the map? How are you today? Do you remember what date it is today? What day of the week is it today? Look at the placard (на основе плаката дети составляют коллаж: London: Thames-> Big Ben->double-deckers->red phone boxes->Londoners etc.  We are having an unusual lesson. We are going to London.

T.: Yes, you are right. The topic of our lesson is “A TRIP TO LONDON”. (На доске название темы урока и картинка с изображением самолёте.) Today we are going to revise our material on the topic “LEARNING MORE ABOUT LONDON”: we’ll do some exercises, write a test, play and sing a song, read and discuss a text, listen to some stories about different sights of London.

II. Фонетическая зарядка.

T: Let’s take a plane and go on a trip to London. Heathrow Airport welcomes our group. We are going to see London and its beautiful places of interest. But before going we must find some keys to these magic gates, which will show us the way to London. (На доске картинка с изображением дворца с закрытыми воротами.) Look at these gates. Your task is to put in the necessary letters in the words and find the keys.

T.: Now repeat these words after me. Well done. We’ve found all the keys and now we can take a double-decker and go on our tour. (На доске картинка с изображением лондонского автобуса.)

Children, while we are going, let’s sing an English song “If you happy and you know it” and do some actions:

VI . Тестовый контроль.

T.: Well, my friends, and now we’ll see how well you know London. Get ready to write a short test. Open your exercise - books, write down the date. Your task is to agree or disagree with some facts. Write down figures from 1 to 7 and mark them with a «+» or a  «-».

VII . Контроль домашнего задания. 

Now imagine that you are guides. What can you say about places of interest in London? (Ученики получают фотографии с достопримечательностями и рассказывают о них, осуществляется проверка выполнения домашнего задания по вариантам.)
Your home task was to prepare short stories about the sights of London. Let’s listen to some of you.

P1: Trafalgar Square is the center of London. It is very beautiful. Many people visit it and feed the birds. In the middle of it you can see Nelson’s column. There are two fountains and some statues in the square.

P2: The Houses of Parliament is a symbol of London. It’s stands near the Thames. It’s the seat of the British Parliament. Big Ben is one of its towers. It’s the large clock and the bell. Big Ben is named after Sir Benjamin Hall.

P3: The Tower of London is very old. It was a fortress, a royal palace, a prison and the King’s zoo. Now it is a museum. The Tower of London has many traditions. There you can see changing of the guard. People feed ravens living there. They want their country to be rich.

T.: Thank you very much for your stories.

VIII.  Физкультминутка (Релаксация).

T.: Well done. Now let’s get off our double-decker and have a rest a little.

T.: Close your eyes. Let’s pretend it is summer. You are lying on a sandy beach. The weather is fine. A light wind is blowing from the sea. The birds are singing. You have no troubles. No serious problems. You are quiet. Your brain relaxes. There is calm in your body. Nothing diverts your attention. You are relaxing. (Pause.) Your troubles are floating away. You love your relatives, your school, your friends. They love you too. Learn to appreciate every good thing. The Earth is full of wonders. You can do everything. You are sure of yourselves. You have much energy. You are in good spirit. Open your eyes. How do you feel?

IX. Совершенствование навыков чтения.

T.: Now we’ll read an additional text about some more places in London. We’ll discuss the text after reading it. (Дети читают текст про себя и отвечают на вопросы по нему. Распечатка текста с вопросами даётся каждому ученику.)

BUCKINGHAM PALACE

         There are two addresses in London that the whole world knows. One is 10, Downing Street, where the Prime Minister lives. The other is Buckingham Palace. This famous palace, first built in 1703, is in the very center of London.

        It is two places, not one. It is a family house, where children play and grow up. It is also the place where presidents, kings, and politicians go to meet the Queen.

        Buckingham Palace is like a small town, with a police station, two post offices, a hospital, a bar, two sports clubs, a cinema, and a swimming pool. There are 600 rooms and three miles of red carpet. Two men work full- time to look after 300 clocks. About 700 people work in the Palace.

THE QUEEN”S DAY

       When the Queen gets up in the morning, seven people look after her. One starts her bath, one prepares her clothes, and one feeds the Royal dogs. She has eight or nine dogs, and they sleep in their own bedroom near the Queen’s bedroom. Two people bring her breakfast. She has coffee from Harrods, toast, and eggs. Every day for fifteen minutes, a piper plays Scottish music outside her room and the Queen reads the Times.

       Every Tuesday evening, she meets the Prime Minister. They talk about world news and have a drink, perhaps a gin and tonic or a whisky.

AN INVITATION TO THE PALACE

       When the Queen invites a lot of people for dinner, it takes three days to prepare the table and three days to do the washing up. Everybody has five glasses: one for red wine, one for white wine, one for water, one for port and one for liqueur. During the first and second courses, the Queen speaks to the person on her left and then to the person on her right for the rest of the meal. When the Queen finishes her food, everybody finishes, and it is time for the next course!

X. Объяснение домашнего задания

T.: Look at the blackboard and write down your home task for the next lesson: I want you to write a letter to your parents about your sightseeing tour around London. (Письмо родителям о своей поездке в Лондон.)

XII. Подведение итогов урока (выставление оценок)

T.: Did you enjoy our excursion? If you did, raise a card with the smiling sun; if didn’t raise the other picture. ( Учащиеся поднимают картинку с изображением улыбающегося солнышка, если им урок понравился, или другую картинку, если им что- то на уроке не понравилось.)
