«How do you know the English speaking countries?»

Цель мероприятия: обобщение, повторение и систематизация страноведческих знаний учащихся.

Задачи мероприятия:

Воспитательные:

1. воспитывать у учащихся интерес к изучению английского языка;
2. воспитывать инициативность и активность;
3. воспитывать уважение к культуре и традициям англоговорящих стран;
4. воспитывать умение работать в команде, чувство уважения друг к другу;
5. воспитывать настойчивость и упорство в достижении цели.

Развивающие:

1. развивать творческие способности учащихся;
2. развивать коммуникативно-игровые способности у учащихся;
3. развивать языковую догадку, смекалку;
4. развивать и тренировать внимание, память, мышление.

Образовательные:

1. формировать у учеников страноведческие и социокультурные знания;
2. расширить кругозор учащихся.

Практические:

1. развивать умения понимать иностранную речь на слух;
2. развивать лексические навыки учащихся в рамках предложенной темы.

Форма мероприятия: игра-соревнование

1. поиск и систематизация необходимого страноведческого материала;

Ход мероприятия.

Ведущий: Good afternoon, dear teachers and pupils! I am very glad to see you. Welcome to our game «How do you know the English speaking countries?». Let me explain the rules. Pupils should be divided into 2 teams and think up names for their teams. Our game consists of seven rounds. For every right answer the team will get points. If the team answers correctly, it may go to the next question. If the answer is wrong, the turn goes to another team and so on. So, if everything is clear, please introduce your teams.
