Тема урока:   People and Planet Earth.  Environmental Problems.

Цель урока: обобщить знания по теме «Проблемы окружающей среды».

 Задачи урока: 

1)образовательная

- развитие навыков диалогической, монологической речи с использованием лексических единиц по теме;

 - повторение и отработка грамматической конструкции пассивный залог в настоящем простом времени (Present Simple Passive);

 - расширение кругозора;

 2)развивающая

-развитие умений в различных видах учебной деятельности (индивидуальная, коллективная  работа, работа в парах);

-развитие и раскрытие творческого потенциала учащихся;

3)воспитательная    

-воспитание культуры общения;

-воспитание любви к природе.

Тип урока: комбинированный.  

          Методы обучения:

          - метод зрительной наглядности: презентация, раздаточный материал, материал в интернете;

         - методы слуховой наглядности;

         - словесные методы (объяснение, беседа, дискуссия);

         - частично поисковые (работа по завершению диалогов, поисковое чтение статьи в интернете).

         Задания для учащихся на уроке:

         - чтение слов, составление словосочетаний с ними;

         - заполнение пропусков в диалогах (работа в парах);

         - прослушивание готовых диалогов;

         - чтение диалогов (работа в парах);

         - ответы на вопросы учителя по теме урока;

         - поисковое чтение научно-популярного текста в интернете с извлечением информации и её представлением в форме монологического высказывания;

         -      высказывание собственного мнения по теме урока в ходе ролевой игры «Пресс-конференция представителей экологических организаций»;

        - создание плаката агитационного характера по теме урока;

         - оценивание собственной деятельности по итогам урока.          

Оборудование:

УМК, мультимединый комплекс, компьютеры с выходом в Интернет, раздаточный материал (Приложения), материал для создания постера (ватман с заголовками, картинки по теме, клей).

Основные этапы урока:

1. организационный момент: 3 минуты;
2. работа с лексикой: 7 минут;
3. работа с диалогами: 8 минут;
4. работа с научно-популярным текстом: 11 минут;
5. дискуссия: 9 минут, в это же самое время – оформление постера;
6. описание постера: 2 минуты;
7. обобщение и домашнее задание: 5 минут.

Ход урока

1. Good morning, boys and girls! (Good Morning, teacher! Good morning, guests!)

I`m glad to see you today! Take your seats, please.

The topic of our today`s lesson is: read, please,

 “People and Planet Earth.  Environmental Problems.”

Is our planet all right? (Our planet is in danger!)                  2 щелчок

Well, you`re right!

So, the aim of our lesson is to sum up everything we`ve learnt about environmental problems,namely: remember all the ecological problems, discuss the causes of them and find a solution. – перевод- Цель нашего урока – обобщить весь материал, пройденный по теме «Проблемы окружающей среды», то есть назвать проблемы, обсудить причины их возникновения  и найти способы их решения.  

The plan of our lesson is the following:

1. topic vocabulary practice – перевод – отработка лексики;
2. dialogues (listening to and making up) – работа с диалогами (прослушивание и составление);
3. working with popular-science texts in the Internet – работа с научно-популярным текстом с использованием интернета;
4. discussion – дискуссия/обсуждение.

     For speaking about the ecology of our planet we need to revise the vocabulary we learnt on the previous lessons. – перевод – для ведения беседы об экологии нашей планеты нам необходимо повторить слова по теме изученные ранее.

Look into the work-sheets you`ve got. Part 1. (Приложение 1)  The same is on the blackboard. Listen to me. Repeat the words in a choir after me. Then separately in chain.

What parts of speech are these words? – nouns

Now, please, choose 5 words and write a verb each noun can be used with as in the example «think about protection». You`ve got 2 minutes. Write on the same paper.

What are endangered animals? (Animals in danger)

Modern life is bad for them. The air is not fresh. The water is not clean.  = They live in polluted environment.                                     2 щелчок

                                   What is Passive Voice in Russian? (Страдательный залог)

                                   When do we use Passive Voice? (Употребляется,

если для говорящего не важно, кто совершает действие, или он этого не знает.)

                                  How do we make up Passive Voice? (Образуется страдательный залог при помощи вспомогательного глагола to be в соответствующей форме и смыслового глагола с окончанием –ed (правильные) или третьей формы глагола (неправильные).

                                 How do we make Present Simple Passive? (В настоящем простом времени пассивный залог образуется с помощью форм глагола to be – am с местоимением I; is с местоимениями he, she I; are с местоимениями we, you, they; и третьей формы смыслового глагола).

What endangered animals do you know? (We read about them in our books)

African elephants and Indian tigers.

Today you`ll learn some other endangered animals.  What can you tell about an endangered animal? (We can tell about its name and habitat.)

Take your seats at the computers, choose any animal. In 2 minutes tell me the animal`s name and habitat. Write this into your exercise-books. Be attentive with pronunciation.
