Тема: Welcome to our district!

Цель: Развивать у учащихся умение вести беседу на тему «Наш район», систематизировать  их знания по заданной теме.

Задачи:

Практическая: развитие умений аудирования, устной речи

Воспитательная: способствовать формированию лучших нравственных качеств: уважения и любви к своей малой родине, к традициям, к своему народу

Образовательная: расширение кругозора учащихся

Развивающие: дать навыки наращивать материал самостоятельно при реализации своего потенциала.

Ход урока

1. Приветствие. Организационный момент.

Good morning, pupils. Glad to see you! Sit down, please.

Birthplace of each person is a place where he was born. You live and learn about the World around you, because the Universe begins with small things - knowledge of the history and culture of your small home. No wonder folk wisdom says: "The tree is fed by roots and the man is fed by homeland." Each place is unique with its history. Today will speak about our district. Be ready to write an invitation letter to your friends. This year will go down in history as the year of remarkable anniversary - the 80th anniversary of our district. The theme of our lesson is “Welcome to our district!” We have a guest from Great Britain today. He wants to know about our district.

Geography

Pupil 1: Burayevsky District is an administrative and municipal district , one of the fifty-four in the Republic of Bashkortostan, Russia. It is located in the northern part of the Republic and borders with Yanaulsky and Tatyshlinsky Districts in the north, Baltachevsky District in the east, Mishkinsky District in the southeast, Birsky District in the south, Dyurtyulinsky District in the south and southwest, and Kaltasinsky District in the west. Population is about 28000people. The centre of the district is Buraevo. About 10000 people live in Buraevo. It was founded on the 20th of August, 1930. The territory of our district is about 1820 square kilometers. Buraevo is a multi-national district. There are more than 20 nationalities living on its territory. It is worth noting, all people live in peace and harmony. The district was established in 1930.

The symbols of our district

Pupil2: Burayevsky District  has its  own symbols: Flag, coat of arms.

The flag is based on the coat of arms of the district. The flag of our district symbolizes historical, spiritual, cultural, national and other local traditions of inhabitants of our district. The flag is green. The green colour stands for freedom, the eternity of life. In the centre there is composition of the ancient ancestral marks (tamgi) which corresponds to the generic characters of the ancient Bashkir genera that  had lived on the historic lands, their location create a circular rotation of the tracks symbolize  the movement of time.

There are a number of different theories about the origin of our district.

 It is considered that the foundation of modern population comes from the 14th -16th century. And we are descendants of the tribesYaldyak, Taz, Elan,Uran an so on.. These tribes are marked on the flag.

The central figure of the flag is a running Sky Wolf (Cook Bure) is a symbol, of all  Turkic peoples and embodies the centuries-old folk memory, wisdom, courage, sacrifice and loyalty to their homeland.

Socio-cultural characteristic of our district

Pupil3: There are splendid fields, marvelous woody mountains, and beautiful lakes. Lands rich with forests, meadows, wild animals and different birds. There are wolves, foxes, elks, wild boars, hares, lynxes, badges. There are wild ducks, wild geese. There are many trees in our forest. They are pines, birches, fir trees, oaks, lime trees, elms, There are red and black currants; sweetbrier, hawthorn.

Our district is rich in medicinal herbs: chamomile, dandelion, valerian, nettle and so on.

Our district is agricultural. The main industry is growing crops. Vegetables are also grown in the collective farm. Besides, a cattle farming is one of the main industries of  Buraevo district.  

The main branches of agriculture is producing of grain, wheat, leguminous, hay. Agricultural land consist of 125000 hectares, 97 of it is arable.

The highest harvest of grain cultural was in 1990, it was 19,1 from a hectare.

A cattle breeding is developed. There are two livestock cattle –breeding complexes: fettering bulls in the collective farm ”Magdan” with 6400 heads of pig.

Mineral resources. Oil is found near the villages Kuzbai, Bustanai, Kaenlyk. The oil is said to contain paraffin, that’s why it’s refining is expensive.There are only some pumping derricks to extract oil.Peat  is found near the villages Staromustafa, Utyagan,Karatamak, Shabai. In 1942-1945 peat near village Mustafa had been used for heating purposes in very large scales.Nowdays peat near village Karatamak is being used to fertilize fields.

Limestone is in mountainous area of villages Kuzbai, Bustanai,Yaldyak, Novobikmetovo. There is stone to use in the construction of roads near the villages Shabai,Tugai, Vostrtsov, Buraevo. Stone to use in construction is extracted near Starotazlarovo.

Our district has very good conditions for beekeeping. There are rich natural and cultured melliferous herbs, a unique Bashkir bee population, age-old traditions and mastery of beekeepers.

In our district prosperity was always held with high respect in every house and people aspired to increase it. One of the prosperity holidays is Kaz Omekhe.

This holiday is very old, and originated with the appearance of geese in local farmstead. Every village has a little different ceremony but the main point is the same. It is mutual assistance: relatives, neighbors, home-folks help each other to prepare poultry meat for the winter.

Our fellow countrymen – participants of the Great Patriotic war.

  Pupil4: The Great patriotic war lasted 1418 days. All soviet   people got up on a fight against fascism. 14650 men   among them 77 women were called up the front from our district. And only 7200   men returned to Motherland. 7446 our countrymen perished on fronts. There are 3 Soviet Union heroes in our district of population not more than 26 thousand people. They are Akhmet Zakirovich Zakirov, Maiski Sakhib Nurligayanovich,  Gilyazetdinov Tazetdin Bagautdinovich.

More than 65 years have passed since that terrible war. It has left unforgettable feelings not only on pages of war and historic documents, books and picture albums, but also in genetic memory of our people. Only 105 veterans are still alive and only 2 women: Dyusmetova Saniya and Yusupova Sagdiya. We met with Yusupova Sagdiya. She is the real hero of my village. She has a lot of memories and different stories. It’s very interesting to listen to her imagining the pictures of her hard life.

Over 200 of our countrymen  took part in  the battle of Stalingrad. Among them were  Akhmadullin Ikram,  Andrianov Khatip,  Arhamov Kabir,  Garaev Kharis,  Gilmutdinov Mirzayan.  More than 200 people, our countrymen  perished in the  Battle of Kursk.

Gilyazetdinov Tasetdin Bagautdinovich

Pupil5:  I want to tell about Gilyazetdinov Tasetdin Bagautdinovich .  He was awarded with a medal "For the Defense of Sevastopol".

Gilyazetdinov Tasetdin Bagautdinovich was born on the 2d of May, 1924 in the village of Bolshebadrakovo of Buraevsky District. He worked as a teacher at school in his home village from September 1941 till February 1942.

He was called up the Soviet Army on the 23 d of February 1942. I December 1942 he graduated from war infantry specialzed school in Gurjev.

Commander of the fire platoon of the 665 th shooting regiment lieutenant T. Gilyazetdinov was brave in the battles for liberating the Crimea from fascist invaders.

T. Gilyazetdinov was awarded the title of the Hero of the Soviet Union on 24 th of March 1945. After the Great Patriotic war T. Gilyazetdinov worked as a teacher in his home village, as the head of education department of Buraevsky District, as the second secretary of CPSU and the head of secondary school in Badrakovo. T. Gilyazetdinov was awarded the Order of  Red Banner, the Order of the Great Patriotic war of the first degree, many medals.

Nowadays he and his family live in the village of Bolshebadrakovo. Sport events after his name are annually held in Buraevo.

The places which are worth seeing

The lake Akhoshkhul (Swan Lake).

Pupil 6: Buraevo is a big settlement, the centre of the district. It is situated in the north –west of Bashkortostan. Our district differs little from hundreds of others. We cannot boast of any unusual sights but the landscape of our district is picture rescue with thick forests and beautiful lakes. Everything here seems simple and quiet. But in stand of that our district is beautiful in its way, and there are a lot of places which are worth seeing. One of them is the lake Akhoshkhul (Swan Lake). The lake Akhoshkhul is not far from Buraevo connected with very old legends which are the part of the Bashkir folklore. People like   to spend time there. Especially newly-weds like to visit this lake. It is a tradition. We usually go there with our classmates in summer. The legend says: Once upon a time there was a strong warrior in our land. He had no equal in strength, courage and wit.  Besides he was a famous kurai player and singer. He fell in love with a girl. She was very beautiful. She sang and danced well. Many brave men liked the girl. But she loved only the warrior. The warrior was very fond of his girlfriend. They started to meet every day. And they were very happy. They always met   near a beautiful lake. The lake was round  and bottomless. 

Beautiful swans were swimming  in the lake. They always admired those swans. But misfortune came. A warrior from another village, who loved  the girl  stole her. He cut the girl’s feet and put dusty horsehair inside so the girl could not run away. 

But the young man spent days and nights looking the girl, at last he found her. Unfortunately, the girl drowned in the lake. After the tragic event, all swans in the flew  away and never came back. Only after a number of years a few swans returned in spring but quickly flew away.

Pupil 7: There are many beautiful buildings: the House of culture where many concerts and performances are often held.

A modern building of a sport complex, where people can go in for sports and attend it with great pleasure every day.

In the centre of  Buraevo there is a square. A monument to Stepan Sergeevich Vostretsov, the hero of the Civil war, is situated there. The square is green and beautiful with its fountain. In the evening after a busy day you can rest there to the sounds of falling water. A monument “Grieving Mother was founded in honour of the mothers who lost their sons and daughters during the Great Patriotic war.

There are two mosques in the centre of the district.
Many people come here during great religious holidays. Many activities for children and the youth are held in the “Youth Centre”

There are several dance groups in our district. They are generally recognized in our republic. They go to the cities and villages of Bashkortostan every year. They do not loose the connection with the roots, surprising and cheering people with their works and the time enlarging their repertoire with new dances.

The dance groups create new dances taking the themes from the life. For instance “North Amours” tells the story about the Bashkir cavalry famous for their victory against Napoleon. Yesterday and today combined together in the form of wonderful choreographic dancers. Among the repertoire of the dance company are “Gopac”, “Russian plyasovaya”, greek dance “Sirtaki”, American”Country” and many others. There are over 20 dances in the repertoire. There is already the eighth generation of the dancers on the stage. The young dancers keep and develop the traditions of the ancestors.
