- You’ve just told me how you are today. What words did you use? What part of speech do they refer?

-What are we going to learn today? Look at the screen and tell me if you know the words that you see?

-Find the adjectives that you already know (slide 1)

So today we are going to practise using adjectives. There are so many adjectives that we can use to describe mood, colour, size and to express our opinion

-Say the words and identify their part of speech

-Yes, of course. They are adjectives

-Students find the adjectives and read them out

-What are adjectives?

-Adjectives modify nouns. They are used to describe people, things and places.

What are nouns? (slide 2-3)

How do you usually feel in autumn?

- I want you to work in groups to classify the following adjectives into 3 groups.

- Read the following sentences and circle the adjective in each of them – Slide 9

-Adjective order in a sentence. Read the sentences. What is wrong? Can you correct the mistakes? –Slide 11

-Now it’s time to say what we know about adjectives - Slide 12

-Students review the rule

-Students answer questions and review adjectives that are used to describe autumn, weather and the way we can feel

-Students work in groups of four, they classify adjectives into 3 groups

We ‘re going to do some exercises and at the same time remember 3 forms of adjectives

-Students describe people that they see in the picture (their appearance and feelings)

-We need to use comparative form of adjectives

-Students mime adjectives say 3 forms of the adjectives they mime

-Let’s say a rhyme to remember this rule (slide16-17)

-We add -er

-Practise saying adjectives in a comparative form

-Look at the fairy-tale characters and say

-Characterize the characters using superlative forms
