Открытый урок по теме "Достопримечательности Лондона"

Цель урока: совершенствовать навыки чтения, аудирования, говорения.

 Задачи:

Образовательная: обучить учащихся навыкам аудирования, устной речи; закрепить лексический материал по теме. Учить анализировать, сравнивать, выделять главное, обобщать и систематизировать.

Развивающая: развитие воображения, речи, творческих способностей, стимулирование мотивов для дальнейшего изучения иностранного языка и данной темы.

Воспитательная: формирование эмоциональной восприимчивости, умение видеть мир во взаимосвязи явлений, эстетическое воспитание учащихся. Повышение познавательной активности учащихся, привитие интереса к стране изучаемого языка.

Ход урока

   1.Организационный момент.

Приветствие учителя:

The weather is fine,

The sky is blue.

Good morning children,

I am glad to see you!

Tell me how are you?

- T: How are you today? Are you in a good mood?  (Ответы детей)

I see you are in a good mood, so let’s begin our lesson.

Today we have an unusual lesson, because we have guests at the lesson. That’s why you have an excellent chance to show how you know English. I wish you good luck!
But what is the theme of our lesson?

2. Brainstorm activity. (Определение темы урока, цели и задач).

-T: Look at the blackboard and repeat after me:

- T: What do all these words mean? (Ответы детей – возможные ответы a cathedral, a park, a museum, a tower, a palace, a square)

- T: But how can we name them with one word?

- Ch: sights.

- T: Good for you! (Учитель пишет на доске слово «Sights» напротив слова «The theme of the lesson»).  But sights of what?  Now you should match word combinations from left and right columns and guess a word.

Задание на доске:

Keys: 1- c (L), 2 – f (o), 3 – d (n), 4 – b (d), 5 – e (o), 6 – a (n).

- T: Well done! So the theme of our lesson is “Sights of London” (запись на доске).  And what is the aim of our lesson?

- Ch: Ожидаемые ответы: 

- to know (learn) more about London and its sights.

The aim: “To learn the sights of London and can tell about them”.

- T: So what should we do to reach our aim?

3. Знакомство с достопримечательностями Лондона. (Аудирование).

Children, today I suggest you travelling around London. Have you ever been to London? I suppose you haven’t. Look at the map, please.

(Дети знакомятся с картой Великобритании, находят местоположение Лондона).

- T: You can see that Britain is washed by the sea and the ocean. So, how can we get to London? (Ответы детей).Yes, of course, by plane. Let's start our travelling.

- T: Look at the screen and imagine that we are flying over London.

-T: Now do the task.  On your maps find and circle the sights that you have just heard about.

5. Работа в парах. (Чтение с извлечением конкретной информации).

- T: Read the texts and match them with the names of the sights.

1. This Square is in the centre of London. It was built in 1828. In the middle of the square is Nelson’s Column. This Column is fifty meters high. A lot of demonstrations and public meetings take place here. It’s a famous square where on New Year’s Eve people gather to celebrate.

2. It is the city’s greatest monument. It was built by Sir Christopher Wren in 1675–1710. Wren is buried there, also Wellington and Nelson.

3. This an official residence of the Queen and her family. It isn’t open to the public.
It has 600 rooms, a swimming pool, a cinema, a ballroom, and a garden, which is like a private park. In summer the Queen gives three garden parties for about 9,000 guests. The ceremony of the Changing of the Guard at this palace is a great tourist attraction. It takes place daily at 11.30 a.m. and lasts half an hour. To the sound of music, the guardsmen arrive and pass the palace keys to another group.

4. First it was a royal palace. Now it’s the seat of the British Government. In 1834 it was destroyed by the fire. The new building was built in 1852. It contains 500 apartments.
Among them are the Central Hall, the House of Lords, and the House of Commons. The people of London can hear the sound of the bell on the big clock every hour.

5. This church is a symbol of English tradition. The coronation of nearly all English kings and queens since William the Conqueror has taken place here. Many of them are buried within it. There are also the graves of famous poets, writers, and statesmen. Here you can see memorials to Newton, Darwin, Dickens, Chaucer and others.

6. It is a very old building. It is nine hundred years old. In the early days of England the English kings lived there. Then it was a prison where many people died. Black ravens had much food near its walls in those days. Black ravens live outside this old building now.

7. This Bridge is the only Thames bridge which can be raised. The road over the bridge is built on two central sections, they open 3 times a week to let ships through.

8. It is one of the most famous clocks in the world. It is really a bell. You hear it every hour. It is a big bell. It weighs 13,720 kilograms.

(Порядок слов в утвердительных предложениях).

Подлежащее + сказуемое + дополнение (что?) + обстоятельство места (где?) + обстоятельство времени (когда?).

3. Writing.

-T: Write adverts for visitors of London. (Учащиеся получают листы с изображением одной из достопримечательностей и, ответив на вопросы, составляют рекламное объявление, смотреть в приложении).

11. Speaking.

-T: Now tell us about the London sight you want tourists to visit.

12.  Заключительный этап. Подведение итогов урока. 

Запись домашнего задания: разработать проект по теме  «Достопримечательности Лондона».

Выставление оценок. Рефлексия.
