“I LOVE YOU…”

План – конспект урока английского языка в 10 классе по теме: “I love you…”

Тип урока: урок-праздник

Цели урока:

Познавательный аспект: продолжить ознакомление учащихся с культурой, традициями и праздниками стран изучаемого языка.

Развивающий аспект: развитие способностей к логическому изложению, развитие умения высказывать свою точку зрения.

Воспитательный аспект: формирование высоконравственных отношения между юношами и девушками в вопросах любви, дружбы.

Учебный аспект: совершенствование навыков устной речи, чтения и аудирования.

Речевой материал: лексика и грамматика уроков раздела 4, 10 класс по учебнику В.П.Кузовлева «English 10-11».

Оснащение урока: плакат с изображением многочисленных сердец, заполненными пожеланиями до начала урока; сувениры-сердечки “Happy Valentine’s Day”, стенгазета “St. Valentine’s Day”, карточки с заданиями, компьютер.

План урока

1. Оргмомент. Вступительное слово учителя.

Glad to see you. Sit down, please. The topic of our lesson is “I love you…” I think the 14-th of February is the best day for this topic. What holiday is it today?

P₁: Today is St. Valentine’s Day.

T.: Good. What do you know about this holiday?

P₂: This holiday has had a long and romantic history. Romans have carried its celebration to England many years ago. Saint Valentine was the patron saint of all lovers. Boys and girls, husbands and wives send presents to each other. They also send Valentine cards as a token of love to their sweethearts. These cards are usually unsigned. (на экране появляются изображения  различных  валентинок)

2 – T.: I hope you have sent Valentine cards to your sweethearts and friends. Love is a popular topic in youth newspapers and magazines. What is love? You may have your own answers, and you’ll say them later, but let us read some English proverbs about love. Here they are. (на экране появляются пословицы о любви)

“Where love is, all is”

“Love is neither bought nor sold”

“Love will find a way”

“Love makes one fit for any work”

“Love makes the world go round”

“Love is not found in the market”

“Love should not be all on one side”

“Love is the mother of life”

“Love conquers all” (Vergil)

T.: Read these proverbs and try to give their Russian equivalents, please.

(ученики предлагают русские эквиваленты к этим пословицам)

3. T.: Try to use these proverbs in your dialogues and stories.

We can see a lot of examples of great love. There are some descriptions on the screen. They are without names. Try to guess these people. Do you know them?

1. There is no more wistful story in the world, than the story about…and…. He is a knight of real love, his strength, his beauty are in faithfulness.
2. She wrote a love letter to him in spite of the society’s conventions. He rejected her.
3. She buried her beloved and soon she married a young officer. Who is she?
4. He didn’t hope to be happy again after his wife’s death. Then he fell in love with a young and pretty girl. Who is this man?

Ученики высказывают свои предположения с опорой на следующие клише:

-I think he (she) is….

-I suppose they are…and….

-It seems to me that he (she) is… (they are…).

4. T.: Have you read “Romeo and Juliet”? Let us see a small piece from this play. I invite Anna and Sasha to act out the scene in front of the class.

Juliet: And yet I wish but for the thing I have:

My bounty is as boundless as the sea,

My love as deep; the more I give to thee,

The more I have, for both are infinite.

Romeo: O blessed, blessed night! I am afraid,

               Being in night, all this is but a dream,

               Too flattering-sweet to be substantial.

Juliet:     How cam’st thou hither, tell me, and wherefore?

                The orchard walls are high and hard to climb,

                And the place death, considering who thou art,

                If any of my kinsmen find thee here.

Romeo:   With love’s light wings did I o’erperch these walls;

                  For stony limits cannot hold love out

                  And what love can do that dares love attempt;

                  Therefore thy kinsmen are no stop to me.

Juliet:        By whose direction found’st thou out this place?

Romeo:     By love, that first did prompt me to inquire…

T.: Thank you very much, Anna and Sasha.

5. Pavel: Dear girls! We want to present you a song. This song is “Yesterday”.

(Юноши исполняют песню, затем дарят девушкам класса сердечки с пожеланиями)

Angelina: We also prepared a song for our boys. It is “Love story”

(Девушки поют песню и дарят юношам валентинки)

6. T.: Thank you boys and girls.

Can you answer the question what love is? Please, give your answer to this question. These words and expressions may help you.

(На экране 3 высказывания по данной теме. Ученики подбирают разные варианты, проговаривают их)

7.T.: Let’s read a poem about love. It is on page 120 in your textbooks.

(Каждый ученик читает по 2 строки этого стихотворения.)

8. T.: Answer my questions, please. They are about love.

-What is the best age for love?

-Do you believe in love at first sight?

-Can it last long time?

-How do teenagers choose their dates?

-Where do young people go on dates usually?

-What do the expressions “go steady” and “go Dutch” mean?

9. T.: All girls and boys want to be attractive. Being “datable” depends on things other than just good looks. Enthusiasm and a good sense of humour are much more important than beauty. One teens’ magazine suggested some ways to make her or him fall in love with you. Let us read these ways in Reader, Exercise 6, p. 53-54. Which activities do you think will better work on girls? And which on boys?

Релаксация. Игра “Scrambled words”. Ученики подходят к магнитной доске и правильно расставляют буквы в каждом слове. Примерные слова: erpesnt (present), rhaet (heart), vole (love), inhpaesps (happiness)…

10. T.: Now I’ll give you cards with dialogues. Read and act them. Then try to make up your own in the same way. Work with your partner. Help each other fully to understand it.

(Образец диалога)

 -Hello, Mike. You look so upset. What’s the matter?

-I am madly in love with Jane. But she doesn’t fancy me. She refused to go out with me.

-I suppose the best thing to do is not to be upset. Love should not be all on one side.

11. Dating Game. (Activity Book, Unit 4, Exercise 7.)

12. T.: Do you enjoy our lesson? (ученик кратко говорят о том, понравился ли им урок, какие эмоции он у них вызвал, свои пожелания)

Подведение итогов урока-праздника. За работу на уроке учащиеся получают только хорошие и отличные оценки.
