Цели:

·         Социокультурный аспект: знакомство с выдающимися людьми мира  их творчеством и достижениями

·         Развивающий аспект:  развитие способности к переключению внимания в упражнениях в разных видах речевой деятельности, к активности мышления, к логическому изложению своего высказывания

·         Воспитательный аспект:  воспитание уважения  к чужому таланту и творчеству, воспитания чувства сопричастности к мировому наследию

·         Учебный аспект: контроль лексико-грамматических , речевых навыков по разделу «Говорим о знаменитостях».

ХОД УРОКА

I. Организационный момент

– We continue speaking about famous people. Every nation has its well-known people. What famous people do you know?  Name, please! (Pushkin, Chopin, Pablo Picasso, the Beatles, Charles Darwin, Steven Spielberg, Beethoven, Conan Doyle, M Twain, Madonna, Eddie Murphy etc.)

II. Фонетическая зарядка

– It’s time to practice some words. Look at the

1) Read the words loudly and in whisper
2) Find and read only the verbs (adjectives, nouns)

На экране:

1) Best-known, century, imagination, ballet dancer, politician, well-known, musician, composer, adventure, author, world famous
2) Act out, found out, double, announced, hadn’t won, Charlie Chaplin, was upset, competition, dress like Chaplin, walk like Chaplin  

III. Речевая разминка

IV. Совершенствование умения аудирования биографий знаменитых людей

– I’ll read short stories of some famous people. Guess who they are about.

На экране представлены слайды с фотографиями известных людей и фонозапись – аудирование биографий знаменитых людей  или учитель читает сам.

He is an Austrian composer. His music is loved by musicians and the people. He began to compose music when he was 5. At the pick of his career, he began to lose his hearing. He wrote one of his most powerful compositions-the Ninth Symphony. (Beethoven)

He was a doctor. His medical knowledge was a great help to him  in his detective stories. With the words" Elementary, my dear Watson...» the most famous detective, Sherlock    Holmes,     starts to explain a crime to his friend, Dr. Watson. (Conan Doyle)

This man lived in the state of Missouri. He was a short story writer and the greatest American humorist. He wrote about the adventures of Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn. (M Twain)

This group changed pop music forever. They were from Liverpool. Because of their nice music and simple words their songs such as " Love me do"," Yellow submarine"," Yesterday" are still popular all over the world.  (The Beatles)

She is a very successful American popular music singer who is known for her unusual styles in clothes, appearance, and behavior. In 2006 she came to Russia for the first time. (Madonna)

She founded the famous waxworks museum, which has one of the largest collections of wax models in the world. (Madame Tussaud)

He is a basketball player for he Chicago Bulls Team who is very popular personality in the USA. (Michael Jordon)

This man wrote a famous book for children, “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland’ He had           no family, but he loved children very much. He often visited his friend. There were three little girls in the his family. He liked Alice, and often told her interesting stories which he made up himself. He told Alice the adventures of a little girl in Wonderland. Alice liked the stories very much. (Lewis  Carroll)

1. Конечно, он держал свой план втайне от всех.
2. Чарли Чаплин решил принять участие в конкурсе сам.
3. Он не занял первое место.
4. Театр объявил конкурс, чтобы выяснить, кто мог сыграть, как Чарли Чаплин.
5. Это произошло после того, когда Чаплин стал всемирно известным.
6. Он решил, что это вполне забавно.
7. Сначала он был расстроен.
8. Люди, которые принимали участие . должны были одеться, как Чарли Чаплин, пройтись его походкой, сыграть одну из ролей в его фильме.
