                 по английскому языку

        “The Dialogue of Cultures”

                                                                                                                          Классы: 5,6, 10-11

Цель: познакомить учащихся с достопримечательностями Англии и России как наиболее  

            привлекательными центрами мирового туризма.

Задачи:

               Учебные:

1. Формирование социокультурной компетенции учащихся.
2. Совершенствование компетенций говорения, чтения, аудирования.

Развивающие:

1. Расширение кругозора учащихся при подготовке внеклассных мероприятьий на английском языке.
2. Развитие способности учащихся понимать и использовать английский язык в ситуациях, приближенных к действительности.

Воспитательные:

1. Углубление мотивации учащихся к изучению английского языка.
2. Вовлечение учащихся разного уровня владения языком в работу и создание условий для индивидуального развития каждого ребенка.
3. Формирование социальной компетенции школьников, создание условий для их общения и совместного творчества.

Оснащение занятия:

1. Ноутбук, проектор, экран.
2. Карточки с заданиями для каждой команды.
3. Презентация к занятию.

Класс: 5

1. T:  Good afternoon, boys and girls! Good afternoon, dear guests! I am glad to see you!

     Dear boys and girls, I hope that you are fine today. On your desks you can see pictures of  

    different moods. Choose one which really shows how you are feeling at the moment. You can  

     take and show it in front of you.

     Thank you. Put down your cards.

T: How are you today?

P: I’m fine, thanks. / I’m OK, thanks.

2. T: Listen to the sounds, please. What is it?

P: It’s a plane.

T: What can we do by plane?

P: I can travel.

T: Do you like to travel?

P: Yes, I do.

T: Welcome on the board of our comfortable and modern plane. Let’s have a trip around the  

    world.

T: Look at the screen, please. Read the words for yourself. Find out the unusual words.

P: Russia, Great Britain.

T: Would you like to travel to Russia and Great Britain?

P: Yes, I would. I would like to visit Russia and Great Britain.

3. T: Let’s divided into 3 groups. The first group is “Brave”, the second group is “The Optimists”,  

    the third group is “Creative”.

     Our teams are ready for the fantastic trip. English language will help you for travelling to  

     Great Britain.

T: Good luck for flying!  (Звук летящего самолета.) While you are flying you will do English  

     tasks.

                                       Task 1.

T: Make up the dialogue and act out. But the lines of the dialogues are mixed. Put them in  

   order. (Каждая команда получает карточки с диалогом.)

1. – Have you ever been to a museum in London?

• Yes, I have. I went to the British Museum last week.
• Oh, did you? I haven’t been there. Is it good?
• Yes, certainly.

2. – Have you ever been to a gallery in Britain?

• Yes, I have. I went to the Tate Gallery last winter.
• Oh, did you? I haven’t been there. Is it interesting?
• Yes, certainly.

3. – Have you ever been to a museum in London?

• Yes, I have. I went to the Sherlock Holmes museum last holiday.
• Oh, did you? I haven’t been there. Is it great?
• Yes, of course.

                   T: You are good. Every team gets a card.

4. T: Our flight is going. Look at the blackboard. You can see a very beautiful flower.

                                     Task 2.

T: “A magic flower”. Every petal has got a riddle. Read and try to answer. (На каждом лепестке  

     описание достопримечательности Англии.) Каждая команда открывает два лепестка.

1. A symbol of England. (a rose)                  4) A big square in London (Trafalgar Square)
2. A capital of England. (London)                5) The name of the queen. (Elizabeth II)
3. A river in London. (the Thames)              6) The clock tower in London. (Big Ben)

5. T: Our flight is over. Welcome to London!

(Появление ведущих- «гидов». Они выходят к доске.)

G1: Good afternoon! Welcome to London!

G2: Would you like to visit London?  (Спросить ученика.)

G1: London is the largest city in Europe. Over 7 million people live in it. There are lots of places  

       to visit: different museums, theatres and cinemas. London is the capital of England. You can  

      see the Houses of Parliament. The big clock is called Big Ben. The Houses of Parliament are

      next to the river Thames.

       You can visit the Tower of London. It is more than 900 years old. Nelson’s Column is in the  

      middle of Trafalgar Square.

      Hyde Park is the biggest park in London. You can ride a bike and roller skate, play tennis.

      London is the host of the Summer Olympic Games 2012. There is a big Olympic Park in  

      London.

G2: The London Eye is a place for fun too. It can help you to see stadiums, parks and squares in  

        London. The tourists from many countries are riding the London Eye.

G1: There are a lot of museums in London. Do you like to visit museums?  (Спросить ученика.)

G2: Madame Tussaud’s (Музей мадам Тюссо) is an unusual museum in London. It’s the famous  

       waxworks museum. It has the largest collection of wax models in the world: actors, film  

      stars, sportsmen, politicians. You can even take photos with them.

G1: Let’s visit another museum. Listen to music. What museum is it? Yes, Sherlock Holmes  

       museum. This museum is on Baker Street. Sherlock Holmes and Dr Watson lived here in the  

       famous novel by Conan Doyle. Visitors can sit in Mr Holmes’ armchair and hold his pipe.

G2: Let’s visit Trafalgar Square. It is in the centre of London. The square is famous for Nelson’s  

       Column. You can see fountains and historical monuments on the square.

T: Thank you for your journey about London. Good bye.

P: I like …………….

6. T: Let’s go to the musical club! Let’s sing the English songs.

                                              Task 3

The English songs: “London Bridge”, “Jingle Bells”, “We wish you a Merry Christmas”.

       T: Well done! Every team gets a card.

7. T: It’s time to return to Russia. (Звук самолета.)  Our country is very large. There are a lot of places of interest.

T: What is Moscow famous for?

                                            Task 4

T: Every team will get a task. You should make a project about the sights of Russia.

(Учащиеся работают в группах. Используют рисунки и карточки с текстом, наклеивают на плакат. Выступление учащихся перед классом.)

                                                      The Tretyakov Gallery        

1. The Tretyakov Gallery is famous all over the world. It was founded by Peter Tretyakov.
2. The gallery has many halls. We can see pictures by Serov, Repin, Ivanov, Levitan.
3. Many people visit the Tretyakov Gallery in Moscow.
4. L’d like to visit the gallery. I think its very interesting.

                                          The Hermitage

1. The Hermitage is 250 years old. It is the biggest museum in the world.
2. St George Hall is very beautiful. The room is very big. The museum keeps collections of famous painters.
3. They are Leonardo da Vinci, Raphael, Titan and many others. There are 3 million works.
4. I have never been to the Hermitage. I’d like to visit this museum.

                                                     The Kremlin

1. The Kremlin is the symbol of Russia. It has 20 towers. They are the Spasskaya tower, the Nikolskaya Tower and the Troitskaya Tower.
2. The Kremlin is the oldest historical centre. It was a wooden fort. Dmitry Donskoy built the Kremlin of white stone.
3. The walls of Moscow Kremlin were built of red stone. The Kremlin is near the Moskva River.

8. T: Thank you very much for your work. Every team gets the card. Imagine that you at the travel agency.

                                           Travel Agency “Enjoy Travelling”

Agent: Hello! Can I help you?

P1: Hello! We are from England. We’d like to travel to a very beautiful place.

P2: Yes, a very beautiful and warm place.

Agent: Oh, I can offer you a very good place. It’s a hot and sunny seaside.

P1 and P2: A seaside?

Agent: Oh, yes. It’s Sochi. You can have a good rest: the sea, the fresh air and a lot of sun.

P1: How can I get there?

Agent: You can get there by plane or by train.

P2: I think by plane.

Agent: All right. Sit down, please. (Усаживает туристов.) Listen to my story about it. The city is in the south   of Russia. There is the Black Sea and there are mountains not far from the city. People can swim and dive in the sea and walk in beautiful parks. One of them is the Botanic Garden. There are many rare plants: orchids and palms. Every day you will go to the beach and swim in the sea.

        Besides, Sochi is a symbol of the Winter Olympic Games. The Russians have won 33 medals and took the first place. The hare, Polar Bear and Leopard are the official symbols of the games.

          So, I advise you to go to Sochi.

P1: I think Sochi is a fantastic city.

P2: Thank you very much.
