AUSTRALIAN NATURE For a weekend, it's nice to take a longer trip and camp in the bush, or go fishing by a river or lake. At night you may hear many animals, Wombats and Kangaroos, moving around or the frightening growls of the male Koalas. It's hard to believe this little "bear" can make such a loud noise! At sunset and sunrise the noise from Magpies, Parrots, Lorikeets and Cockatoos can be deafening. And don't forget the laughing Kookaburra. BACK

Australian Animals Dingo doesn't bark. It makes a howling sound. Dingoes eat mice, rabbits and rats. The Echidna is small, it has sharp spines on its back. Goannas are a type of lizard. They can grow to about 2 meters long, and can be aggressive, often making a loud hissing sound. It eats meat, although Goannas also eat various plant life. Grey Kangaroo can be the Western Grey Kangaroo and the Eastern Grey Kangaroo. It can grow to about 2 metres high, although are commonly about 1 metre. BACK Koalas are small bears who live in the Eucalyptus trees.

The Twelve Apostles After having fish and chips for my lunch at Apollo Bay, we continued our journey to the six plus six Apostles, people call them the Twelve Apostles. The sun was too bright at the east that it turned everything else into dark color. The Twelve Apostles are giant limestone stacks that rise majestically from the Southern Ocean, by the Great Ocean Road in Victoria. It has become a popular tourist attraction in Victoria. BACK
