Тип урока: Урок закрепления и обобщения изученного материала                                                              Тема урока: Путешествие и виды транспорта

Цели урока:

Образовательные:

-обобщить и закрепить лексические и страноведческие знания по темам « Путешествие», «Виды транспорта в речевых ситуациях с опорой на зрительную наглядность;

-формировать умения и навыки применять изученный лексический и грамматический материал на практике в таких видах речевой деятельности как: говорение, чтение, письмо;

-продолжать формировать навыки правильного английского произношения;

-формировать навыки поискового чтения;

-формировать умение работать в коллективе, в парах и индивидуально

Воспитательные:

-воспитывать интерес к английской истории и культуре,

-прививать интерес к изучаемому предмету;

-формировать культуру слушателя и рассказчика;

-воспитывать у учащихся чувство взаимоуважения и взаимопомощи, терпимость к чужому мнению при фронтальной, групповой и парной работе.

 Развивающие:

-развивать память, внимание, воображение, логическое мышление, языковую догадку, продолжать формировать навыки правильной английской речи, развивать общую эрудицию учащихся;

-формировать поисковую деятельность учащихся.

- развитие коммуникативных навыков с помощью проектной, игровой, уровневой дифференциации и традиционной технологий.

Используемые приемы, методы:

• Опрос: индивидуальный, фронтальный;
• Корректировка знаний и умений, уточнение и исправление ответов;
• Работа в парах;
• Работа в группах

 Задачи урока:

Образовательные:

Повторить лексические единицы по теме «Путешествие», формировать навык чтения с полным и детальным пониманием текста; совершенствовать навыки письменной речи, умение составлять логически связный текст; совершенствовать навыки употребления возвратных местоимений, совершенствовать навыки работы с текстом.

Развивающие:

Развивать интеллектуальные способности (мышление, внимание, память, языковая догадка);наглядно-образное мышление и зрительное восприятие;умение систематизировать полученные знания, умение работать с разными источниками информации, анализировать и синтезировать информацию, представлять информацию в виде логически связанного текста, сиквейна. Практика в оформлении минипроекта с использованием компьютерных технологий. 

Воспитательные:

Воспитывать умение сотрудничества при работе в группе; умение слушать и     вступать в диалог,формировать коммуникативную компетенцию учащихся; воспитывать ответственность за собственную работу и работу в группе, паре. Поддерживать  у учащихся интерес, мотивацию к изучению английского языка

Личностные:

умение работать в малой группе в условиях взаимосотрудничества и взаимозависимости.

Предметные:

знать и уметь верно употреблять лексические единицы, пройденные на уроке.

Метапредметные:

овладение коммуникативной компетенцией, включая умение взаимодействовать с окружающими, выполняя разные социальные роли; умение самостоятельно определять цели своего обучения, ставить и формулировать новые задачи в учёбе и познавательной деятельности, развивать мотивы и интересы своей познавательной деятельности;

умение планировать свое речевое и неречевое поведение; умение работать с информацией (поиск и выделение нужной информации, ее обобщение и фиксация); умение осуществлять регулятивные действия самонаблюдения, самоконтроля в процессе коммуникативной деятельности на иностранном языке.

Базовый учебник: Английский с удовольствием (9 класс): Учебник английского языка для 9 класса общеобразовательных учреждений/М.З. Биболетова, Е.Е. Бабушис и др.  доска, компьютер, мультимедийный проектор, экран, раздаточный материал для самостоятельной работы, раздаточный материал для парной  работы с задания, презентация в Power Point

Формы работы учащихся: фронтальная работа, работа в малых группах, индивидуальная.парная

                                              Ход урока

1.Организационный момент. Приветствие. Определение темы урока. 

T: Hello, children! I’m glad to see you.  What’s the date today? Who is absent?

Today we’re going to speak about  travelling. Travelling is one of the most favorite activities, isn’t it? We’ll discuss it today. You have different opinions about travelling and about means of transport, so you will have an opportunity to share your own ideas.

2. Фонетическая зарядка. (слайд 1)

T:  Let's practice our tongue.  Now look at the poem and read after me. Who wants to read the poem? (Несколько учеников читают стихотворение)

T: I like your reading very much! 

Take a bus or take a train,

Take a boat or take a plane,

Take a taxi, take a car,

Maybe near or maybe far,

Take a rocket to the moon,

But be sure to come back soon.

3. Речевая разминка. ( слайд 2)

Teacher: Let’s play. I will throw you a balloon and you will say what travelling means for you.  But remember you should use some words like this:

 To my mind travelling means…

As for me…

I think that…

I believe that…

I’m sure that…

4     Первичное закрепление знаний в знакомой ситуации (слайд3)

 T:I know your opinion about travelling. And I’m sure travelling is always associated with different means of transport. Let’s revise different forms of transportation.

Teacher : Which means of transport would you like to travel? For example I would like to travel by ship. And what about you?

5.Воспроизведение на новом уровне (переформулированные вопросы)

 Teacher: I  have some more questions for you. And I want you to answer them. But, please, pay your attention that these cards are of different colors. Questions on the yellow cards are simple, questions on the green cards are more difficult. And questions on the red cards are the most difficult. You can choose which color is preferable for you.

6.   Проверка домашнего задания

  Teacher : Now it’s time to check your homework. Your task was to make projects in group abut different types of transportation. I mean the first group should talk about water transport, the second one about air transport, the third group made a project about land transport and the fourth group will tell us about unusual means of transport

Teacher:  Excellent! Many wise men have their own opinion about travelling. Let’s read their ideas and you should match the sentences with their translation. Take your cards №1

Teacher: Next step of our lesson will be dialogs. I would like you to act them. Put the sentences in the correct order to complete the dialog. And we’ll try to guess where this dialogs could take place.        Take your card nuber 2( A,B,C,D,E,F)

Clerk: Good Morning

A.  Hello. Can I have your ticket, please?

B.  - Sure. Here you are.

A.   - Thank you. Is everything OK in here? Are you comfortable?

B.  - Yes, it’s very nice. But can I open the window? It’s getting a bit stuffy in the compartment.

A.  - Well. You can while the train is still on the platform. But when the train leaves you should close it. Don’t worry the air conditioning system will be on.

B.   - Fine. Can I have something to drink, please?

A.   - What would you like: tea or coffee?

B.   - I’d like some tea with lemon, please. And don’t forget the sugar.

A.   - OK. Would you like to read the latest newspapers or magazines?

B.   -  I guess I’ll do that a bit later. By the way, what about the bed linen? I’d like to make my bed and have a rest.

A.   - I’ll bring your tea and the bed linen in 5 minutes. Have a nice trip!

B.   - Thank you very much!

A. Pardon me, do the buses stop here?

B:Yes,most downtown buses stop at this corner.

A:I want to go to Washington Avenue.  Can I take any bus that stops here?

B:You can take any bus except number 12.

A:How often do the buses run? What are the usual intervals between the bus arrivals?

B:About every fifteen minutes. You   won’t have to wait any longer. The bus is coming. It’s number 5.  You can take it.

P.   - Excuse me. Is it possible to have another blanket, please? I am a little cold.

S.   - OK. I’ll be right back with your blanket. Would you like anything else?

P.    - Yes. Can I get something to drink too?

S.   - Sure. What would you like to drink?

P.    - I’d like some orange juice, please. And no ice in it, of course.

S.    - Oh yes. I’ll bring it to you in a minute. By the way you can unfasten your seat belts. It is safe to do so now.

P.    - OK, thanks. I will do that. Could you tell me how long it’ll take to reach Thailand?

S.    - Well, you know it’s a long journey. We still have 6 more hours before landing.

P.    - Will there be any food before we land?

S.    - Sure. We’ll serve meal in 3 hours.

P.    - Thanks a lot.

S.     - Enjoy your flight.

In the tube

A.  Excuse me. Could you tell me the best way to Richmond Station, please? I am a tourists from Russia and I don’t know the city.

B.  - Oh, sure. No problems. That’s easy. Take the Circle Line, it’s the yellow one on the map. Then go 4 stops and get off at South Kensington Station. Then change to the District Line. It’s green.

A.  - But which direction?

B.   - Westbound. The train will take you towards Richmond Station.

A.  - All right. Which way shall we go now? How do we get down to the trains?

B.  - Go straight down those stairs, then turn right at the bottom. You will see the escalators. Take the escalator on your left.

A.  - OK. Which platform do we want then?

B.  - Well. Follow the signs. You won’t get wrong.

A.  - Thank you so much.

B.  - Good luck! Have a good trip!

 T.D. - So where are we heading to now?

P.   - We are going to the airport. And please, hurry. We are in a rush. I think we may be late for the flight.                                                                                                                                                     T.D. - All right. There is a lot of traffic at this time of the day. Terrible traffic jams because of the rush-hour.                                                                                                                                                      P.  - Let’s try to take a highway as soon as possible then.                                                                                 T.D.   - OK. I hope it will take us about half an hour to get to the airport. Would you like an air-conditioning?                                                                                                                                                P.   - No, thanks. Everything is fine.

T.D. - Well. Here we are!                                                                                                                                P.  - Great. We are lucky! We are on time. How much is it?                                                                                   T.D.   - That’s 45 $, please.                                                                                                                               P.   - Here you are.. Thank you.                                                                                                                            T.D. - Thanks a lot for the tip. Have a nice flight!         

10. Творческое применение знаний в новой ситуации. Сиквейн.

Teacher: Well done. Now children, we have done a lot of exercises.  We revised and accumulated the vocabulary connected with travelling and means of transport . I want you to try now to make a ciquain. Let’s revise what does cinquain mean.( слайд4).   I’ll give you 2-3 minutes to write it. And at the same time I have the most  difficult task. This is the task from state exam (I mean OGE).  It is the task from the part 5: to give a talk on the theam” Travelling and transport” Which of you would like to try to realize it?

Teacher: Lets revise grammar rules connected with reflexive pronouns (слайд 5 ) Open your books at page74. Let’s do exercise 44.

Teacher: during our lesson we have revised words and phrases associated with travelling and transport, you answer the questions, read quotations, made your own dialogs, some of you gave a talk on the theme, you even perform the cinquains. We repeat grammar rules about reflexive pronouns. We have done a lot of work. All of you were perfect. Thank you for the lesson.

- Which is the most popular means of transport?  Which transport is cheaper: a bike or car?  Which transport is quicker: a helicopter or a plane?   Which transport is more convenient: а train or a plane?  Do you like travelling by airplane?  What is your favorite means of transport? Would you like to go on cruise? What is your dream car?

Green cards:  

How do you get to school?  How often do you take a taxi?  How often do you use public transport? Which means of public transport do you know? Which means of transport do you prefer? Which is the cheapest means of transport? What kinds of transport have you used? What is the most expensive means of transport?

Red cards:

Is the car considered a luxury in our country? Why? Why not?   How can we solve the problem of traffic jams? What is the most dangerous form of transportation? Why?
