1. Greeting

Good evening friends! I’m glad to see you here again. How are you today? Do you like the weather today? Ok, lets start our lesson friends. Today we are going to continue our unit about activities which are able to do people.

2. Follow up

a. Vocabulary checking

Lets begin with the dictation. Now we repeat the words which you should know and then you will write a dictation. I am going to tell you Russian words and you should give me English equivalent and than spelling this word. Lets do it in chain. Well done.

Close your books friends. Now open your copy books and we start!  Hand in your papers.

Open your books on page 38. We are going to listen to the cassette and than repeat the words which are given in the book. Repeat after me once again. Now I want you to read these words in chain.

All right. Excellent. Now close your books. I will show you the pictures and you should ask what it is.

Now look at exercise two. Перед тем, как мы с вами прослушаем текст, давайте прочтем вопрос, на который мы должны дать ответ после прослушивания кассеты.

Friends lets find activities which he and she can do. (Can he play the guitar and play the drum? Can she ride the bike? Can she draw? Can she see their carpet?)

3. Using modal verb “can” in speech

Look at the next exercise please. There are four pictures with people who are doing different activities, but some of them can’t do them. Your aim is to look at these pictures and than write and say what people can and can’t do.

Well done friends.

Now we are going to listen to the cassette again. After listening to the cassette we should put a tick near the pictures what we can do in the park. We are going to listen to the cassette only once. Ok, lets check this exercise.

Now you will work in pairs. And your aim is to ask questions to your partner and then put a tick or a cross in the box.

For example:

-Can you sing?

-Yes I can and I can dance, too. Can you dance?

-No, I can’t, but I can sing.

     До следующей нашей встречи, вы должны выучить новые слова, подготовиться к диктанту. Open your workbooks, page…. You should do exercise 4, 5, 6.

    b. Commentary on pupils marks.

    5.Game “Scrambled words”

    Ребята я специально оставила 10 минут до окончания нашего урока, чтобы с вами поиграть в игру. Давайте разделимся на две команды. Ваша задача состоит в том, чтобы выбрать  десять любых  слов с 3-5 unit. На это вам дается пять минут. И так как игра называется “Scrambled words” вам нужно буквы в слове поставить  вперемешку. Затем мы обмениваемся листочками со словами, и вызывается с каждой команды по человеку. Задача команды не выкрикнуть правильное слово, а продиктовать это слово по буквам, человеку, стоящему у доски.
