Цели и задачи урока. 

• Образовательные: 

• активизировать употребление ранее изученной лексики в речи учащихся;
• совершенствовать навыки речевой деятельности учащихся.

• Развивающие: 

• работа над фонетическими навыками;
• развитие творческих и артистических способностей учащихся;
• развитие умения учащихся осуществлять монологические высказывания;
• совершенствование аудитивных навыков;
• закрепление изученной лексики.

• Воспитательные: 

• воспитание у ребят чувства сотрудничества и ответственности;
• расширение кругозора учащихся.

Технологический аспект: 

•  В контексте данного урока – это проблемное обучение, которое направлено на приобретение ЗУН; усвоение способов самостоятельной деятельности; развитие познавательных и творческих способностей учащихся; технология коммуникативного обучения иноязычной культуре, предполагающая организацию обучения на основе общения в ходе сотрудничества и партнерства, активно привлекая реалии страны изучаемого языка; игровые технологии, имитирующие ситуации реального общения и направленные на воссоздание и усвоение общественного опыта.

Приемы: 

• формирование коммуникативной компетенции;
• использование компьютерной технологии;
• использование метода опоры;
• учебно-познавательная игра.

Тема: “Faces of London”

Ход урока

I. Организационный момент. (4 мин.)

T. Good morning, everybody! I am very glad to see you! Take your seats, please. Today our lesson will be very interesting and unusual. We shall travel to London – one of the most interesting and wonderful cities in the world. But first let`s find out if we are having the right time for travelling. (T-Ps)

T. Who can tell me what date  is  it today. (P. Today is the ___ of ______) T. What day of the week is it today? (P. Today is Wednesday). T. Do you like Wednesdays? Why? (P.We have English on Wednesdays). T. Well, and what`s the weather like today? (P. It`s nice but frosty). T. Is it a nice weather for travelling? Do you like to travel? (P.Yes, I do). T. With whom do you like to travel? (P. With my family). T. Have you ever travelled with your friends? How do you prefer: to travel: by car, by bus, by train or by plane? (P1. I like to travel by car. It`s very convenient. You needn’t buy tickets and carry heavy things. You can stop where you want). T. What about you? (P.2 I like to travel by train. You can see more interesting places of the country. Modern trains have comfortable seats). T And you? (P.3 I prefer planes. It is the fastest and the most comfortable way) T. Yes, I agree with you, but it is very expensive nowadays. Would you like to visit London? Why?

T. : Great Britain is an island. How can we get to London? (By plane, by boat, by train). Today I`ll show you the cheapest and the quickest way to get to London.

II. Фонетическая зарядка. Разучивание рифмовки с движениями. (3 мин.)

T.        Up, down, up, down.

        Which is the way

To London town?

Where? Where?

Up in the air,

Close your eyes-

And you are there!

T: Repeat the sounds after me:

[ A-A-A ]-                 up, London

[ I-I-I ] -                     is, which

[ au-au-au ]-         down, town

[ Fq-Fq-Fq ]-                 where, there, air

Далее разучиваем рифмовку, проговаривая её то громко, то тихо и в конце шёпотом.

III. Речевая разминка. (5 мин.)

T. You have never been to London, but you know enough already about this beautiful city.

You will see some pictures on the screen now. Agree or disagree with the statements (ученики, глядя на слайды, исправляют неверные утверждения или повторяют верные).

(Приложение1. Презентация):

1. London is the capital of France. (P.1 No, I disagree. London is the capital of Great Britain)
2. The Houses of Parliament stand beside the river Thames.( P.2 Yes, I agree….)
3. Big Ben is a museum (P. 3 …)
4. It is Westminster Abbey. (P. 4… )
5. The King and the Queen of England live in the Tower. (P. 5 …)
6. Buckingham Palace is the official residence of the Queen. (P.6…..)
7. London is very rich in parks and gardens.(P.7…..)
8. In this picture you can see Trafalgar Square. (P. 8….)
9. It is one of the famous bridges across the Thames. (P.9)

IV. Обучение аудированию на материале диалога. (9 мин)

T.: Millions of tourists visit London every year. Why? There are many places in London that are worth visiting. (Учащиеся могут предлагать свои версии, почему Лондон посещает много туристов). Now you will listen to the dialogue and remember the places of interest. Keep your books closed.

(Прослушивание диалога из упр. 20 стр. 84 учебника). Установка на первое прослушивание диалога: запомнить названия достопримечательностей Лондона, которые упоминались в диалоге).

T. What are these places? Name them. Now open your books, please. You will listen to the dialogue again and decide if the statements of ex. 20 true or false.

Во время второго прослушивания учащиеся работают с утверждениями, один ученик у доски. Затем учитель заслушивает варианты ответов учеников. По ходу ответа исправляют неверные утверждения.

V. Актуализация навыков устной речи на материале прослушанного диалога.

T. Now answer my questions on the dialogue.

- Is the tourist from the dialogue interested in churches and cathedrals?

(P  No. This person is not interested in churches and cathedrals.)

- What would he like to see? (P. He would like to see something unusual.)

- Is MOMI a bridge? (P. No, it is not. It is not a bridge).

- Can people spend an hour walking and relaxing in the park? (P. Yes, they can. They can walk and relax in the park.

- What ideas does the boy like? (P. He likes the idea of visiting MOMI and St. James`s Park.)

VI. Физкультминутка. I think you are ready to go to London. Stand up, please. Let` do some exercises. Выполняют движения из выученной рифмовки и проговаривают её.

VII. Развитие навыков просмотрового и изучающего чтения. Работа за компьютерами. (7 мин.)

T.: First I`d like to introduce you this wonderful city. (просмотр минутного ролика о Лондоне). (Примечание. Здесь я использую диск c информацией о Лондоне.  Вместо диска можно подготовить статьи или тексты из журналов, газет или книг о достопримечательностях Лондона и положить каждому учащемуся на парту.)

T.: Take your seats in front of the computers. Open the disk “London”. Now I will divide you into groups and you will “go” in different directions. Katya and Alina, you will visit Westminster Abbey. Ksenia and Stepan will go to Madam Tussaud`s, Alyona and Sergey will visit the Tower of London, Olga and Anna – Buckingham Palace, Rita and Valera will go and see the Houses of Parliament. Then we shall meet on Trafalgar Square and tell each other our impressions from the city. You may start your tour…(Ребята работают в парах, находят по навигатору нужную достопримечательность и изучают данную информацию.). Работа за компьютерами длится 5-6 минут.

VIII. Совершенствование навыков монологического высказывания. (5 мин.)

T.: I`d like you to tell me if you liked the places you have seen today and why.

P1. My visit to the Tower of London impressed me very much. The tower is very old. It has a long and cruel history. It was a fortress, a castle, a palace, a prison. Now it is a museum. There are black ravens in the Tower and people look after them.

P2. I enjoyed my visit to Madam Tussaud`s. It has one of the largest collections of wax models in the world. Here you can meet great characters of history and art, actors, film stars, pop-singers, sportsmen, famous politicians. An unforgettable experience. I think it`s worth visiting.

P3. I visited Westminster Abbey. It is a symbol of England. It was built in 1065 by King Edward. The coronation of all British Kings and queens takes place in Westminster Abbey. Some famous English people are also buried here. This place is worth visiting.

P4. I saw a lot of tourists near Buckingham Palace. They stand outside and see the Changing of the Guard. The ceremony takes place every morning and is a real theatrical performance. I think it`s worth seeing. I walked in St.James`s park. It is the oldest royal park and very beautiful with its trees and flower beds.

P5. The houses of Parliament stand beside the river Thames. It is one of the most beautiful and famous buildings in modern London. The famous clock Big Ben stands near the Houses of Parliament. You can hear its bell every hour. Tourists in London always want to visit this place and see the clock.

T. I am glad you liked London. Now you know what to advise your friend if he goes to London.

Tell me please what other places do the tourists like to visit. And it doesn`t matter in what country they are. (Shops). You are right. Different incidents can happen in the crowded streets of London.

Пока отвечают сильные учащиеся, одновременно у доски работают 2 слабых ученика. Задание для 1-го ученика: собрать слова из слогов (таблица разрезана, слоги перемешаны):

Задание для 2-го ученика: расставить слова в алфавитном порядке: royal, zoo, palace, tower, abbey, building, museum, capital, wax. (2 мин. на проверку задания)

IX. Обучение диалогу. Обыгрывание ситуации “My friend is lost” (10 мин.)

T. Pretend that your friend is lost and you are telling the police officers about it. They will ask you about your friend and you will have to answer their questions. Who will be the police officers? (2 pupils). One of you will ask the questions and his partner will fill in the form “Missing child report”. The police officers will wait for us for 2 minutes and prepare the questions to our pupils. (Два ученика выходят за дверь. Остальные решают, кого будут описывать. Придумывают ему вымышленное имя. «Полицейские» в конце диалога должны сказать, кто из детей «потерялся»).

Примерный диалог:

• Hello! Can you help us? Our friend is lost.
• How old is he?
• He is 12.
• How does he look like?
• He is not tall, slim, his hair is dark, his eyes are brown.
• What is he wearing?
• He is wearing jeans and a black jacket.
• Does he speak English?
• Yes, a little.
• What does he like?
• He likes sports…
• Don`t worry. I hope we shall find him very quickly.

IX. Подведение итогов. (2 мин.)

T. I think you liked our trip to London. In the end think of 5 nouns, 5 verbs, 5 adjectives to describe London. (Учащиеся называют). Well done. Are you tired of our trip? (показывают настроение карточками в виде «смайликов») I think you aren`t. Because as people say : ”When a man is tired of London, he is tired of life”. Do you agree? Thank you for your good work. Your marks are….Your homework is … .

Our lesson is over. Good bye!
