Тема: Экскурсия по Лондону.

Цели урока: совершенствование лексических  и грамматических навыков, развитие аудитивных навыков.

Задачи урока:

образовательная: научить учащихся высказывать свое мнение, отвечать на вопросы и общаться на заданную тему;

развивающая: развивать и тренировать внимание, память, мышление, развивать навыки диалогической речи; расширить кругозор учащихся;

воспитательная: воспитывать уважительное отношение к стране изучаемого языка.

ХОД УРОКА:

1. Организационный момент. 

Teacher: Good morning, boys and girls! I am glad to see you. Look at the blackboard, please(Слайд 1).  How do you think, what theme is our lesson today?  

P: about London

Right! Today we are going to start our trip around London. Read the famous statement of Samuel Johnson. Translate this phrase.

Ребята, давайте попробуем объяснить, почему Джонсон так сказал.

Pupils: London is worth visiting. There are a lot of sights in London. People can’t be tired of this city.

Teacher: Yes, you are right. London is a city of strong customs and traditions. There are a lot of places to see and things to learn. Now, children, name the sights of London you know. (Слайд 3)

Teacher: And the first task is a phonetic exercise. Pronounce the names of the places carefully  (Слайд 4)

3. Речевая разминка. 

Teacher:  The next station is the Houses of Parliament. Answer the questions. (Слайд 5)

1. Who is the Head of the State?
2. Does the Queen of Bretain live in the Tower of London?
3. Where does the Queen of Britain stay when she is in London?
4. Where does the Houses of Parliament stand?
5. This country’s leaders speak in the Houses of Parliament, don’t they?

4. Развитие аудитивных навыков.

Teacher: (Аудио Westminster Chore). Do you hear this? Do you know what is it? This is Westminster Chore. Do you like it? This is the next sight of London. Westminster Abbey. Let’s learn more about it. (Видео Westminster Abbey,  House of Kings). Let’s check up how you understood this video. Listen to my statements and agree or disagree with them. (Слайд 6,7).

Westminster Abbey is a symbol of England.

Westminster Abbey was founded by St Paul himself.

Westminster Abbey was built by King Edward in 1650.

The coronation of all British Kings and Queens takes place in Westminster Abbey.

Some famous people are buried there.

5. Развитие навыков чтения. 

Teacher: The next station is of the Houses of Parliament (Big Ben).  Read the information about Big Ben. (Слайд 8,9)., стр 81

Teacher:-  What is Big Ben?

P: - It is the clock tower of the Houses of Parliament and it contains Big Ben. It is in London.

Предполагаемый ответ:

How heavy is Big Ben? It weighs 14 tons.

How tall is it? It’s 98 metres high.

Where does the name “Big Ben” come from? It

comes from Sir Benjamin Hall, the bell’s commissioner of works.

How long is the long hand? It’s 4 metres long.

How long is the short hand? It’s 3 metres long.

How big (wide) is the clock face? It’s 7 metres wide.

Развитие навыков говорения.

Teacher: The next station is the Madame Tussaud’s museum. We can find famous people there: Mark Twain, Agatha Christie, Elizabeth II. Say what these people are famous for. (Слайд 11).

7. Подведение итогов.

Teacher: We have visited London today. We have seen a lot of places of interest. And now it’s time to sing a song. (Слайд 12. Аудио “Do you live in London?”)

8. Рефлексия. 

Teacher: Our trip is over. Do you like London? Let’s check up how you know it. Match the pictures of famous sight and their names. (Слайд 13.)

 Упр. 5, с. 81. Задача: развитие умения писать кратко об известной достопримечательности своей страны. Предложите учащимся на выбор картинки/фотографии главных достопримечательностей России, родного края. Обсудите порядок сбора информации (энциклопедии, туристские путеводители, Интернет и др.). До включения работ в индивидуальные языковые портфели можно организовать их выставку и презентацию в классе.

Предполагаемый ответ: Every year millions of tourists come to Moscow to see the Kremlin.

Everybody recognizes the Kremlin. It’s the most important landmark in Russia. The main clock

tower of the Kremlin is called Spasskaya Tower. It is the symbol of the Kremlin. The Tower is 71

metres high (with the star on the top). The clock on the tower called the Kremlin Chimes is huge.

It is 600 years old. The clock mechanism weighsabout 25 tons. Each of the four clockfaces (dials)

is over six metres wide/in diameter. The hour hands are about three metres long and the minute

hands are 3 metres 27 centimeters long. There are fourteen bells of the chimes that sound two

melodies. Perhaps one day you can go to Moscow and see this amazing tourist attraction.
