Christmas party

(рождественский праздник)

Основная воспитательная цель праздника: воспитание интереса и уважения к обычаям и традициям британцев, поддержание интереса к иностранному языку.

Подготовка

Подготовка к празднику начинается на уроках, где дети знакомятся с обычаями и традициями изучаемого языка.

Учащиеся получают различные задания на уроках. Это все лексико-грамматические упражнения, направленные на закрепление слов по теме «Christmas» - pudding, candles, Christmas holly, Father Christmas, bells, star, manger, stockings, presents, cards. Цель таких упражнений – более прочное усвоение и расширение лексического запаса учащихся, что способствует развитию у студентов чувства языка, получению знаний о его стилистических особенностях.

Кроме того учащиеся разучивают новые песни. При заучивании слов песен совершенствуются навыки аудирования, произносительные навыки, закрепляются правила фразового ударения, особенности ритма. Песня помогает активизировать многие грамматические структуры, подлежащие усвоению, например, повелительное наклонение глаголов, а также способствует расширению кругозора.

Ход праздника

На сцену, украшенную плакатами и поздравлениями на английском языке, выходят учащиеся, начинающие праздник

1-ый.                 Let’s meet Christmas!

It’s Christmas! Merry Christmas,

Yes, it’s merry, merry Christmas,

It’s time for hanging stockings.

It’s time for riding sleighs.

It’s time for jolly greetings,

Snow and holly, overeating.

You’re the best of holiday’s.

Calendar Rhyme

In January falls the snow

In February cold winds blow,

In March peep out the early flowers,

and April comes with sunny showers.

In May the roses bloom so gay,

In June the farmer mows his hay,

In July brightly shines the sun,

In August harvest is begun.

September turns the green leaves brown,

October winds then shake them down

November days are break and drear,

December comes and ends the year.

3-ий. Let’s meet Christmas! We have got Christmas in winter! And what is winter?

Winter is the season,

When mornings are dark.

And birds do not ring

In the woods and the park.

This is the season,

When children ski

And Father Frost brings

The New Year tree!

4 –ый                Winter means frost and snow.

What a soft little sound the rain makes on the ground!

What a soft, soft little sigh, the winds make passing by!

But can you hear the snow, as it flies to the world below?

Oh, no, we can not hear the snow.

5 –ый.  Don’t you know the snow is made of snowflakes?

Watch the tiny snowflakes,

Softly drifting by,

Like a cloud of feathers

Falling from the sky.

Lightly, very lightly,

making not a sound,

Snowflakes from the blanket,

On the frozen ground.

And tomorrow morning

When the sun is bright,

I will see my garden

Dressed in shining white.

Ведущая – Новогодняя елочка. Now we have winter, snow and a lot of pupils. Let's see the play.

Story-teller. The story of the first Christmas begins in the springtime, when the Angel Gabriel came down from Heaven to speak to a young woman called Mary who lived in the land of Israel.

Angel. Do not be afraid of me, Mary! God has seen what a good person you are. He has chosen you to be the mother of His Son. His name will be Jesus, born to save the sinners of the world.

Mary (to Joseph). Joseph, I have been chosen to be the mother of God's Son.

Joseph. Mary, we should go to Bethlehem, where my family has come from.

Mary. Why, Joseph?

Joseph. Emperor Augusts says that everyone should return to their family home and put their names on a list for paying taxes.

Story-teller. Joseph had to walk leading the little donkey which carried Mary and they were both very tired.

Mary. I am very tired.

Joseph. Me too. But look, the town is near. I see it.

Story-teller. But so many people were making the same journey that all the inns were soon fool.

Innkeeper. No places at all. But wait! You can stay in my stable. That is all I can offer.

Joseph. Thank you very much!

Mary. we are very thankful to you!

Story-teller. That night Jesus was born. Mary wrapped Him in a soft linen and laid Him on a bed of hay in a manger.

Joseph. What a beautiful night! And what a bright star appeared in the sky!

Angel. Do not be afraid. I have come to tell you that Christ the Lord has been born this night. Dear Mary and Joseph! With heart full of gladness and love I want to present His child. These are the presents for Him: gold, frankincense and myrrh.

Mary and Joseph. Thank you very much!

Angel. We today also give to those we love the happiness of Joseph and the blessings of the Angels on that first Christmas.
