Учимся строить утвердительные предложения в Present Simple

Упражнение 1. Замените местоимение I на местоимения he или she по образцу.

Образец: I go to the office every day. — He goes to the office every day.

1. I write many letters every day.

2. I read books from the library.

3. I study grammar rules by heart

4. I usually go to work by bus.

5. I often meet my friends on the way to work.

6. I work in an office.

7. I come home very late.

8. I have dinner (supper) at 9 o’clock.

Упражнение 2. Допишите окончания глаголов (-s или -es) там, где это нужно.

Учимся строить отрицательные предложения в Present Simple

Вспомните СХЕМУ построения отрицательного предложения.

ПРИМЕРЫ

Он часто ходит в кино. — He often goes to the cinema.

Он не ходит в кино. — Не doesn’t go to the cinema.

Обратите внимание, что у глагола go в отрицательном предложении отсутствует окончание.

Упражнение 4. Переделайте данные предложения в отрицательные. Используйте вспомогательные глаголы don’t и doesn’t.

1. Mary takes the dog for a walk in the evenings.

2. Peter buys a morning newspaper every day.

3. I come to every lesson.

4. We go to the seaside every summer.

5. You go shopping on Saturday mornings.

6. Peter plays the piano very well.

Учимся строить вопросительные предложения в Present Simple

Вопрос, который начинается с вспомогательного глагола do/does, называется общим. Такой вопрос соответствует интонационному вопросу в русском языке.

СРАВНИТЕ

Он часто ходит в кино. — He often goes to the cinema.

Он часто ходит в кино? — Does he often go to the cinema?

Обратите внимание, что у глагола go в вопросительном предложении отсутствует окончание.

Упражнение 7. Заполните пропуски, используя вспомогательные глаголы do или does.

Упражнение 9 Вспомните, как строить краткий ответ в Present Simple. Ответьте на вопросы.

Глаголы BE и HAVE — особые глаголы в английском языке. Глагол BE называется глагол-связка и появляется в предложении только тогда, когда в нем нет глагола-действия. Изучить подробно глагол BE

Упражнение 19.  Прочитайте текст и ответьте на вопросы.

I AM TOO SMALL

         A little hare plays in the forest. He runs about and looks at trees and flowers. Suddenly he hears a noise. He looks up and sees a man with a gun. The little hare is afraid of the gun and wants to run away. The man raises the gun. He can kill the hare. Then the little hare cries out, “ Don’t kill me; I’m too small to make a good dinner for you. You may come to the forest and catch me when I am big, and you will have a good dinner.
        The hunter smiles and puts down his gun. And then he says, “very well, I’ll come back to then forest when you are big. Only you must grow quickly!” And the hunter lets the little hare go. The hare runs away and calls out, “Catch me now, if you can.”

Упражнение 20. Задайте вопросы и узнайте насколько общие у  Вас и учителя привычки и увлечения. You can ask about:hobbies, pets, possessions (a car, a vacuum cleaner etc) and daily routines (get up, go to work, come home,activities in the evening).
