Внеклассное мероприятие

«Поэтический альманах» (Poetic Anthology)

Задачи:

1. ознакомить учащихся с искусством поэтического перевода

2. развивать навыки говорения при изучении стихов, песен

3. воспитывать у учащихся чувство гордости за отечественных поэтов-переводчиков. Воспитывать интерес к изучению поэзии.

Цель: показать мастерство переводчика, попробовать свои силы в стихотворном переводе.

Оформление: доска оформлена в виде гостиной (камин, пианино, свечи, стол, на столе книги).

Teacher: today we gathered to talk about the skill of poetic interpretation. Poetry doesn’t know limit. On our bookshelves we have books of Russian poets together with the books written by Shakespeare, Byron, Garcia Lorca. They are written on different languages and only the skill of interpreter gave us the possibility to learn and love them.

Many Russian writers and poets such as Pushkin, Lermontov, Karamsin, Turgenev, Bunin, Block, Pasternak, Marshak and many others owned the skill of interpretation. But we must call the first among them: V.A. Zhukovsky. Today I want to introduce you the work of S. Marshak. (There is a portrait of Marshak on the blackboard).

Teacher: the splendid soviet poet, the brilliant master of interpretation, the man of high culture and different interests and knowledge is Marshak. The future poet loved poems when he was only 4 years old and he already tried to make up poems himself. At age of 11 when he studied on gymnasium, he already translated the poems of Orates.

At age of 25 he entered London University when he learnt English perfectly.

All of us know Marshak as the author of children books. Let’s open the first page of our poetic anthology ‘English Children Poetry’. (There is an emblem of this page on the backboard. It is a poem “Robin the Bobin”). The pupils have drawings from this poem on their hands).

One of the pupils recites this poem.

Первый ученик:                         “Robin the Bobin”

Robin the Bobbin the big-bellied Ben,

He ate more meat than fourscore men;

He ate a cow, he ate a calf,

He ate a butcher and a half,

He ate a church, he ate a steeple,

He ate a priest and all the people!

A cow and a calf,

An ox and a half,

A church and a steeple,

And all good people,

And yet he complained

that his stomach wasn't full!

(another pupil reads this poem in Russian in the interpretation of Marshak)

Второй ученик:

Робин-Бобин кое-как
Подкрепился натощак.
Съел теленка утром рано,
Двух овечек и барана.
Съел корову целиком.
И прилавок с мясником,
Сотню жаворонков в тесте,
И коня с телегой вместе,
Пять церквей и колоколен —
Да еще и недоволен!

Teacher: the second page of our anthology is devoted to “English poetry”. The interpretations of English classical poetry take the place on the work of Marshak. During 50 years Marshak had been working at the interpretations of his favorite Blake who was the remarkable English poet of the second half of the 18 and the first quarter of the 19 century.

Girl I

Never seek to tell thy love,
Love that never told can be;
For the gentle wind does move
Silently, invisibly.

I told my love, I told my love,
I told her all my heart;
Trembling, cold, in ghastly fears,
Ah! she did depart!

Soon as she was gone from me,
A traveler came by,
Silently, invisibly
He took her with a sigh.

Girl II

Словом высказать нельзя
Всю любовь к любимой.
Ветер движется, скользя,
Тихий и незримый.

Я сказал, я все сказал,
Что в душе таилось.
Ах, любовь моя в слезах,

S. Marshak introduced the great Scottish poet R. Burns to the readers. A. Tvardovskey appreciated the interpretations of Marshak in such a way: “He made Burns the Russian being left him the Scottish”.

Is there for honest Poverty;

That hangs his head, an' a' that?

The coward slave - we pass him by

We dare be poor for a' that!

Girl II                                   Кто честной бедности своей

Teacher: the special place in the work of Marshak is taken by the interpretations of Shakespeare’s sonnets. The first of the sonnets appeared in the magazine “Banner” in 1943. And in 1948 Marshak finished the interpretation of the sonnets for the 8th volume of Shakespeare’s works.

Marshak wrote.

Boy:  Я перевел Шекспировы сонеты.
Пускай поэт, покинув старый дом,
Заговорит на языке другом,
В другие дни, в другом краю планеты.

Соратником его мы признаем,
Защитником свободы, правды, мира.
Недаром имя славное Шекспира
По-русски значит: «потрясай копьем».

Teacher: In 1948 Marshak was awarded with the state prize for his interpretations of sonnets (the pupils recite the sonnet 130 and its Russian interpretation).

Pupil 1                         My mistress' eyes are nothing like the sun;

Coral is far more red than her lips red;

If snow be white, why then her breasts are dun;

If hairs be wires, black wires grow on her head.

I have seen roses damask, red and white,

But no such roses see I in her cheeks,

And in some perfumes is there more delight

Than in the breath that from my mistress reeks.

I love to hear her speak, yet well I know

That music hath a far more pleasing sound;

I grant I never saw a goddess go -

My mistress when she walks treads on the ground.

And yet, by heaven, I think my love as rare

As any she belied with false compare.

Pupil 2                             Ее глаза на звезды не похожи,

Нельзя уста кораллами назвать,

Не белоснежна плеч открытых кожа,

И черной проволокой вьется прядь.

С дамасской розой, алой или белой,

Нельзя сравнить оттенок этих щек.

Не знаю я, как шествуют богини,

The birth-place of valour, the country of worth;
Wherever I wander, wherever I rove,
The hills of the Highlands forever I love.
