1. Choose the speaker’s exact words.

1. Fiona told me she couldn’t move her arm.

2. Report what people said /told.

4) “ Yeti is a mythical creature” , said Harry.

3. Report orders.

1) “Turn your leg to the right, please”, Susan asked Jolly.

2) “Don’t do parkour if you are not well-prepared”, said George to children.

3) “Please, buy a new laptop for me , dad”, said Julie.

4) “Don’t drive a car too fast”, mum told Mark.

4. Report questions.

1) “Where are you going, Mike?” asked Ron.

2) “Have you ever done whitewater rafting?”  Harry asked George.

3) “Do you use hi-tech medical equipment?” Doug asked Mary.

4) “How did you hurt your arm, Larry?” asked Bill.

5. Choose an appropriate  reporting verb and report the direct speech.
