The world is knowable and the process of knowledge is infinite.
So, why do we need the science?

1. First, to explain the essences of natural phenomena and predict the time of their occurrence.
For example, you need to know why the winds blow, where you can hit the lightning bolt, why earthquakes occur, why one soil is well growing potatoes and cucumbers, why it is hot in the greenhouse, although it is not heated?

2. To study the principles of various technical devices, as well as about the possibilities of new designs.
For example, it is important to know how a car motor or a computer works; why pure water does not conduct the current; why the heavy helicopter flies, but no tractor; how to use river flow to light and heat the city? The importance of knowledge of these phenomena is also not in doubt.

3. Using of science for sustainable conservation of the surrounding world and nature.
If we will know the cause of dangerous phenomena in the environment, we will be able to find ways to solve them. Everybody understands that the Earth is our common home, we should protect and decorate it. A French writer and pilot Antoine de Saint-Exupery said well in his tale "The Little Prince": "There is a rule: got up in the morning, washed, brought himself up - and immediately set in order your planet".
