на тему «St. Valentine’s Day»

Цели урока:

- повышение эффективности учебно-воспитательного  процесса;

- разнообразие и внедрение новых методов работы при изучении иностранному языку;

- повышение межкультурной грамотности и образовательного уровня учащихся;

- ознакомление учащихся с обычаями и традициями  празднования праздника «St. Valentine’s Day» (на примере Великобритании).

Задачи урока:

Образовательные:

• знакомство учащихся с традициями, обычаями и символикой праздника дня Святого Валентина в Великобритании;
• формирование у учащихся навыков лингвострановедческой компетенции;
• активизация лексики по теме “St. Valentine’s Day”;
• знакомство с фольклорным и поэтическим наследием англоязычных стран;
• формирование умения написания поздравительных открыток;
• закрепить изучение степеней сравнения прилагательных.

Развивающие:

• развитие  кругозора  учащихся;
• привитие вкуса к чтению стихотворений на английском языке.
• развитие творческих способностей и интереса к предмету.

Воспитательные:

• воспитание у учащихся чувства прекрасного и уважения к культуре и традициям других народов;
• воспитание умения коллективного творческого мышления;
• развитие эстетических способностей.

Оборудование: компьютер, мультимедийный проектор, презентация, раздаточный материал, игрушка в виде сердца, валентинки, коробка-почта Mailbox, воздушные шарики, видеоролик «The history of St. Valentine’s Day», песня Celine Dion «My heart will go on».

ХОД УРОКА

1. Организационный момент        – Good morning, boys and girls! Glad to see you! Today we’ll speak about holidays.  Do you like holidays? And I like them, too.

2. Фонетическая зарядка

What holiday is it?

What is the symbol of this holiday do you know?

T: Our lesson is connected with a beautiful holiday, one of the most popular in Great Britain. On the 14th of February people celebrate St. Valentine’s Day. This holiday is the favourite holiday of all English children and adults.

Today we will read and watch a video about the history of this holiday, have a competition and write cards. I hope you’ll enjoy our English lesson and be friendly to each other. I wish you good luck! Let’s start! (Класс разделен на три команды)

3. Речевая зарядка        Учитель передает игрушечную валентинку и дети должны сказать друг другу комплименты, используя превосходную степень прилагательных, изучение которых было на предыдущих уроках.

T: – And now say compliments to each other. You must say good and kind words and go to each other.

– It’s my Valentine. It’s beautiful and fun. I’d like you to be my Valentine.

– Be my Valentine. You are the most beautiful.

– Be my Valentine. You are lovely, smart, the best friend, the cleverest.

5. Тренировка и закрепление        Игра по тексту «Магический квадрат»

10. Mailbox. Учитель раздает детям и гостям приготовленные заранее валентинки, которые они подписывают, пишут пожелания и бросают в нашу почту Mailbox, которая позже будет доставлена адресату.

11. Домашнее задание                          

Подведение итогов и награждение команд победителей. Д/з сделать и подписать валентинку своим друзьям или родственникам.
