Внеклассное мероприятие для учащихся 6-х классов на английском языке при прохождении темы о традициях и обычаях  Великобритании и России по учебнику М.З.Бибалетовой «Enjoy English» (глава 3, секция 3)

Аннотация: сегодня согласно ФГОС каждому учителю необходимо обратить внимание на внеклассную работу по языку, чтобы сформировать глубокую внутреннюю мотивацию каждого ученика на саморазвитие и самообразование. Внеклассная работа по английскому языку  является частью урочной работы учителя и становится средством для достижения  планируемых результатов обучения. Во время подготовки и проведения внеклассных мероприятий ученик учится рассуждать, мыслить, реализовывать свои творческие способности.

Цель мероприятия: познакомить учащихся с традициями англоязычной страны и России.

Задачи:

• формирование социокультурной компетенции учащихся;
• развитие умений творческой самореализации;
• расширениё кругозора учащихся по теме;
• создание условий для индивидуального развития каждого ученика;

Межпредметные связи: МХК.

Оснащение: компьютер, проектор, экран, презентация, угощения к чаю, чайные принадлежности.

Задания: 

• найти информацию о культуре: что это такое;
• информация о понятии «семья»;
• отношение к еде
• что общего в традициях/что отличает
• чаепитие

Учащиеся сами выбирают понравившиеся задания. Они могут объединяться в группы по интересам или работают самостоятельно.

                                                        Ход мероприятия:

 Pupil 1 – Dear friends, hello! Learning a foreign language includes learning also culture, traditions and mode of thought of different people. Is it important? Yes, it is. The more we learn about each other, the more we have a chance to live in the single European state and it is very great. It’s a chance to live in peace and be happy.

Pupil 2- You are right. Today we are going to speak about common and different features in our cultures. But what is culture? Culture is process to live in group. Each society has norms to follow by individuals in order to retain society strong and intact. Russian culture has a long history and tradition and Russians are very proud of it. Russians consider themselves as a well educated nation. We read a lot; we enjoy attending theatres, cinemas, and clubs. Russians are smart. They have so many difficulties and problems in life but   they can easily find a way.

Pupil 3- British customs and traditions are famous all over the world. When people think of Britain they often think of people drinking tea, eating fish and chips. Englishmen have traditions of sport, music, food and many royal occasions. There are also songs, sayings and superstitions. Education is an important part of British life. One can't become an independent person without it. There are hundreds of schools, colleges and universities,

Pupil 1- (презентация) we’ll start with traditions in our families. A "typical" Russian family consists of mother, father and two children. The family life is built on dependence. Russians live in small flats in blocks, with 2-3 generations living together. It's normal when grown single children live with their parents. The most popular entertainment for Russian family is watching TV or video.

Pupil 4- (презентация) some words about our food. We begin our day with “zavtrak”(breakfast). Zavtrak typically includes an egg omelet, a sandwich, and kasha, as well as tea or coffee. Generally, the Russian people consume a hearty breakfast. The main meal of the day is Obed (dinner). A salad is generally followed by soup and then the main course. The main course usually consists of either meat or fish with cabbage, potatoes, or porridge. The last meal of the day is Uzhin (supper), which for most Russian families is the time when the family joins to eat together and share the events of their day. We eat much. Russians eat bliny (thin pancakes), piroghi (large pies) or pirozhki (small pies). They are usually filled with fish, cheese, jam, cabbage, mushrooms, and potatoes. Russians drink much tea with sugar, jam (varen’e), ”baranki”, cakes sweets, lemon or milk Tea is centered around conversation and enjoying the hot tea and sweets It is impossible to drink hot tea quickly.

Pupil 5- (презентация) a "typical" British family consists of mother, father and two children. Most British children live with their parents at least until they finish school at the age of 17 or 18. Then many go away to college, leaving some parents lonely in their empty nest. Older people take pride in their independence, enjoy their freedom and don't want to be a burden (быть обузой) to their children. Members of family - grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins-keep in touch, but they see less of each other than they used to. This is because people often move away from home town to work and so the family becomes scattered (разобщенной). This is a typical British family eating together only on Sunday. After lunch the father will smoke his pipe and read the newspaper sitting on his favourite armchair. Family home entertainment is home video.

Pupil 6 – (презентация) some words about food. Everyone in Britain understands that "breakfast" is the first meal of the day. The British breakfast is much bigger than in most other countries. Many people like to have a fried breakfast which can consist of fried bacon and eggs with fried bread and possibly fried tomatoes or black pudding (A thick sausage made with blood and fat).. Of course not everybody wants to eat a lot early in the morning and many people prefer to just eat toast and marmalade with tea or coffee. Cereals are also very popular. The most common is cornflakes. A "packed lunch" is normally eaten between 12.30 pm and 13.30.  A packed lunch normally consists of some sandwiches, a packet of crisps, an apple and a can of something to drink, for example, coca-cola. The most typical thing to eat for dinner (in the evening) is "meat and two veg".

Pupil 7 – (презентация) I have prepared the table.

 As we know our common and distinctive features we can communicate with each other without any problems.

Pupil 8 – It’s time for tea. For most people all over the world tea is their favorite drink. Tea makes friends closer and your home warmer. Tea has become a part of our life, a part of culture in the widest sense. People of any nationalities are tea-drinkers.

The prime minister of England of the 19th century William Gladstone devoted his poem to this drink:

Tea, The Cure – All.

If you are cold, tea will warm you.

If you are too heated, tea will cool you.

If you are too depressed, tea will cheer you.

If you are too exhausted, tea will calm you.

A.S. Pushkin described the picture of Russian tea in his novel “Evgeny Onegin” very well:

Смеркалось; на столе, блистая,
Шипел вечерний самовар,
Китайский чайник нагревая;
Под ним клубился лёгкий пар.
Разлитый Ольгиной рукою,
По чашкам тёмною струею
Уже душистый чай бежал,
И сливки мальчик подавал…

Alexander Block gave his opinion about Russian tea:

... Давай-ка наколем лучины,
Раздуем себе самовар!
За верность старинному чину!
За то, чтобы жить не спеша!
Авось, и распарит кручину
Хлебнувшая чаю душа!

 Pupil 9- (Накрыт «чайный стол», ученики садятся попить чай, рассказывают шутки, анекдоты на английском языке, звучит музыка ) I want to pay attention to the following: there are some common components of tea tradition. They are sweets, sugar, baking: pies, cakes, biscuits.                                                              

                                                      Conclusion.

Teacher: thanks to this information we have come to conclusion that the more we learn about each other, the more we have a chance to live in peace and be happy.
