Урок “Merry Christmas”

Тема:        контроль речевых умений и навыков по  теме “Праздники”;

Цель:        систематизировать и обобщить знания учащихся по теме “Праздники”;

Задачи:  

     учебные:

              а: совершенствование навыков употребления лексических единиц по теме;

             б: развитие навыков аудирования, чтения, говорения по теме;

    развивающие:

             а: развитие умения и готовности взаимодействовать с учителем и друг с другом;

            б:  демонстрация значения английского языка в диалоге культур;

воспитательные: создание атмосферы творческого взаимодействия между     учащимися;

оснащение урока: компьютер, экран, презентация учителя, диски с музыкальным оформлением.

Ход урока:

1. Организационный момент.

 Hello, boys and girls.  I’m very glad to see you now! Today we are going to greet winter and speak about a wonderful holiday – Christmas (on the screen: “Christmas – is a Wonderful Holliday”, a Christmas tree, decorated with different toys and coloured lights.)

There is a date on the blackboard.

-Tuesday, December 25th-

 Look at the blackboard, please and answer my questions.

- What date is it today?

- What season is it now?

- What day of week is today?

-What holiday is it soon?

2. Let’s practise some Christmas tongue – twisters and revise the tongue – twisters which we know already.

(учащиеся повторяют скороговорки, которые они уже знали, и  выучивают новые)

Bobby brings bright bells.

Seven Santas sang silly songs.

3.Now let’s revise some Christmas Vocabulary.

- Talking flashcards (учитель демонстрирует видео с новыми словами);

- Учитель показывает картинки с изображением символов Рождества, а дети называют эти слова;

-Разложить на столе слова и картинки. Дети сопоставляют.

4. Now try to guess my Christmas Riddles.

- In winter we are falling          

Down, down, down.

And everywhere cover

Ground, ground, ground. (Snowflake)

-It is decorated with lights, toys and sweets.

It is in all the houses and in the streets. (Christmas Tree)

-It’s big and round. And in spring

It melts on the ground. (Snowman)

5. Now try to make your own riddles. You will try to explain some words to your classmates. (Дети объясняют слова):

Santa, stocking, elf, gingerbread, present, candle, lights, star, reindeer.

6. All European people like to sing songs, and you? Do you like to sing songs?

 (On the screen: The name of the song “Jingle Bells”)

7. Работа с текстом. (На столах у детей расположен текст с заданиями. Дети выполняют следующие задания):

- Listen and follow the text.

- Read and translate.

- Answer the questions.

-True/false

-Complete the sentences

- Put the parts of the text in order.

- Retell the text.

Santa Claus was very busy on Christmas. He prepared a lot of toys for all the boys and girls in the world. He opened every letter and read them carefully. Then he gathered his elves. The elves worked hard. They picked up the toys and put them in the bag. Santa smiled at the elves.

The children waited for Santa. They decorated the Christmas Tree. There was a nice star on top of Christmas tree. The children looked at the Christmas Tree. They liked the toys. They jumped for joy. They hang up their stockings by the chimney.

Their Mum baked a nice cake. Their Dad filled the basket with candies. Their grandma and grandpa visited them. There were a lot of presents that day.

4. Put the parts of the text in the correct order.

(текст разрезать на части. Дети пытаются расставить предложения в нужном порядке)

5. От всего текста оставить лишь некоторые слова и картинки. Их развесить на доске. Дети пытаются вспомнить и  пересказать текст. От каждого по одному предложению по цепочке.

(Оставить следующие слова: busy, prepared toys, картинка письма, картинка работающих эльфов, мешок Санты, дети украшают елку, звезда, чулки, пирог, конфеты, бабушка с дедушкой,  подарки).

8. Задание на аудирование.

1. Учитель на доске развешивает четыре картинки. Задача учащихся- расположить картинки в нужном порядке. Учитель читает описание картинок, а дети записывают нужный порядок.
2. Дети пытаются сами описать одну из картинок.

9. Исполнение песни “We wish you a Merry Christmas”.

10. Рождественское домино.

Если остается время от урока, то можно предложить детям сыграть в рождественское домино. Раздаются карточки, которые состоят из двух частей. На одной части записан вопрос, на второй- ответ на какой-то другой вопрос. Задача детей- расположить карточки так, чтобы на каждый вопрос подобрать подходящий ответ.

11.  Чтение стихотворений.

В конце урока дети зачитывают выученные стихотворения, а дедушка Мороз им вручает подарки.

It is winter, it is Christmas!

Look at our Christmas tree!

Its needles are green, its toys are bright.

Our Christmas Party is tonight.

 It's Christmas! Merry Christmas!

Yes, it's merry, merry Christmas,

It's time for hanging stockings,

It's time for riding sleighs,

It's time for jolly greeting

Snow and holly, overeating,

Oh, I love you merry Christmas,

You're the best of holidays

Through a frosty winter night

In a sleigh with reindeer flight,

Bringing joy to large and small

Merry Christmas comes at all!

Snow in the window, much confetti

Bright – blue, red and yellow lights on the tree.
