Открытое мероприятие «Cinderella today»

Возраст учащихся: 7-й класс

2015 год.

Действующие лица: Cinderella, First sister, Second sister, Stepmother, Fairy Boy, Major, Major’s wife, Major’s son, DJ, First friend, Second friend.

Оснащение пьесы: компьютер, проектор, экран, Интернет, костюмы героев.

At Cinderella’s home

Cinderella: Oh! It’s 5 o’clock. My sister are going to the major’s ball tonight. How happy they are. It’s not the usual ball, it’s a disco. There will be the most popular DJ there and the latest hits. I love music so much.

Cinderella sings the song “People work”. The audience can watch the cartoon and sing with Cinderella.

Cinderella: I’m so tired. People work at their working places and have rest at home. I only work day and night. I love singing and dancing. But I can’t go to the major’s ball.

Stepmother: Quick, Cinderella! It’s 5 o’clock! You are  a lazy girl! It’s time to dress for the ball.

Are you sleeping? Are you sleeping?

Cinderella, awful girl?

We are getting ready,

We are getting ready,

Where are you? Where are you?

First sister: Cinderella, bring me my red jeans!

Second sister: Cinderella, bring me my blue snickers!

Cinderella: Here are your jeans and snickers.

First sister: Where are my shoes?

Second sister: Bring me my leather jacket.

Stepmother: Where is my clutch? You are an awful girl!

Cinderella: Here are your shoes and jacket and your clutch, Mother.

Will you have some coffee, please.

With the butter and the cheese,

With the sausage and the bun,

Have you dinner, dear Mom.

And you, sisters, of course.

Stepmother: What! We should keep fit! The healthy lifestyle – do you know anything about it?

First sister: How pretty! I’m in my new red jeans!

Second sister: The major’s son will dance with me, I’m sure.

First sister: I’ve heard he is looking for the bride. We are the best candidates. We are so stylish and cool!

Second sister: We sewed on Monday,

We knitted on Tuesday,

We didn’t eat on Wednesday,

First sister: We jumped on Thursday,

 We swam on Friday,

We didn’t eat on Saturday

And we’ll dance today, on Sunday.

Stepmother: What! Betty! I see you are eating chocolate! Don’t say you try to keep fit!

Cinderella: Dear mother, dear sisters, please take me with you!

 I won’t go inside. I’ll just look at the window.

Second sister: What! You are near the City Hall! It’s horrible!

Cinderella is like a pig!

Not very little, not very big,

Not very pink, not very green,

Not very dirty, not very clean.

First sister: Work, my dear. 1,2,3,4,

Cinderella, wash the floor! 5,6,7,8,

Cinderella, wash the plate! 9,10,11,12,

Keep in order all the shelves!

Stepmother: Come, girls! We are late.

The sound of music P.I.Tchaikovsky “The Nutcracker – Waltz of flowers”

Fairy Boy: Why are you crying, my dear?

Cinderella: My stepmother and her daughters are at the major’s ball tonight. They are going to dance with the major’s son tonight.

Fairy boy: And why are not there?

Cinderella: Oh, I’m not a lady. I’m only a poor girl. How can I go to the major’s ball tonight? In these old dirty overalls? I must sit here all alone and work.

Fairy Boy: Now, look here, Cinderella. I can help you. Do you want to go to the major’s ball? By the way, it’s not a ball, it’s a fantastic disco!

Cinderella: Oh, yes, my dear fairy! It’s wonderful! It’s brilliant! It’s cool!

Fairy Boy: Don’t worry! Be happy! We are going shopping. In a couple of hours you’ll have everything you need.

Cinderella and Fairy Boy sing “The shopping song”.  The audience can watch the cartoon and sing with characters.

Fairy Boy: Here is a beautiful dress and here are wonderful shoes for you. They look like glass slippers from a fairy tale! Go and dress, Cinderella! The taxi is at the shop door. But mind, when the clock strikes 12 you must leave the major’s ball. The music is too loud at the disco and you may not hear the sound of the clock. Take my watch and be careful!

At the City Hall

Major: My son! Why aren’t you ready? The ball has begun. A lot of pretty girls are waiting for you.

Major’s son: I don’t want to go there as I’m writing a poem.

Major: What! One more? It’s really interesting! Read it to me, please!

Major’s son: The storm came up so very quick,

It couldn’t have been quicker.

I should have brought my hat along

I should have brought my slicker.

My hair is wet, my feet are wet,

I couldn’t be much wetter.

I fell into a river once

But this is even better.

Major: How pessimistic! You should find the girl of all your life at this ball. When I was young, I …

Major’s wife (to the son): You found me. Let’s go. Come on. Otherwise people will say once again that you are old-fashioned, too romantic and boring.

DJ: Hi, guys! Let’s begin our first disco in this season.

When the weather is wet – we must not fret.

When the weather is dry – we must not cry,

When the weather is cold – we must not scold,

 When the weather is storm – we must not storm.

But be thankful together whatever the weather.

Come on, guys, let’s dance!

Young people dance.

Major’s wife: Why don’t you dance, my son? There are so many beautiful girls here!

Major’s son: I don’t like them, mom. They are arrogant and aggressive. What a beautiful girl! She is like a morning sun! She is like a wonderful rose! Who is she?

First friend: I don’t know her.

Second friend: I don’t know her either.

Major’s son: I’ll sing a song for her.

He sings the song “Here comes the sun”

Major’s son: Beautiful girl, may I ask you to dance with me?

Cinderella: With great pleasure!

Major’s son: Wonderful girl, tell me your name, please.

Cinderella: I can’t tell you my name.

The sound of the clock – it’s midnight.

Cinderella: Oh, it’s 12 o’clock. I’m sorry but I must go. Goodbye, prince.

Major’s son: Oh, don’t go away! Come back. Come back.

First friend: What’s happened? Where is this charming girl?

Second friend: I can’t see her anywhere. Has she gone?

Major’s son: I’ve lost her. First in my life I loved the girl and she has run away.

Friend sing the song “When you wish upon a star”.

At Cinderella’s home

Cinderella: Please tell me about the disco, sisters. You were the most beautiful and fashionable girls there, I’m sure.

First sister: The major’s son came to the ball and was interested in the girl nobody had seen before.

Cinderella: Was she nice?

Second sister: I don’t like her. But the prince danced with her all the time.

Cinderella: Who is she? What’s her name?

First sister: Nobody knows her.

Second sister: At 12 o’clock she ran away and lost her shoe. We laughed. It was like in the children fairy tale. And the shoe was so small and beautiful.

Somebody knocks at the door.

Stepmother: Who can it be? It’s too late.

First friend: We are looking for the beautiful girl who has lost her little glass shoe.

Second friend: All the young girls in this city must try the second one from the pair on.

First friend: (to the first sister) Please, try it on, a nice girl. (Speaking to himself) But frankly speaking, she’s rather ugly.

First sister: I can’t put it on. It’s very small.

Second friend: Now miss, will you try it on?

Second sister: I can’t put it on. It’s too small. It’s for a doll.

Cinderella comes in.

First friend: You must try it on too, girl. What a charming face! It seems to me, I know you.

Stepmother: Oh, but she didn’t go to the disco.

Second friend: The major said that all the girls in the city must try on this shoe.

Cinderella tries the shoe on and it fits her perfectly.

First friend: The major’s son begs you to marry him, beautiful miss.

Stepmother: What! To marry the major’s son?

Cinderella: I can’t go to their house in these dirty overalls. Will you wait a little?

First sister: Our Cinderella, this dirty girl, she is going to live in the beautiful house in the city center.

Second sister: Mother, you’ve always said that Cinderella is ugly and silly and we are pretty and smart.

First sister: Let’s lock her in the smallest room of our house. Nobody will find her. Her boyfriend will forget her.

Second sister: You have forgotten, Cinderella, we are very cunning.

Fairy Boy: Stop, please! Why should beauty and kindness always defend themselves? If you start doing this, I’ll make you ugly green frogs.

Fairy Boy sings the song “Abracadabra”.

Stepmother: Hush, dears! I’ve always said that Cinderella is a good. Hard-working and kind girl. She will not forget her loving mother.

Sisters: Don’t forget your sisters, Cinderella! We have always loved you!

Cinderella: Farewell forever, dear mother and sisters. I hope I’ll be happy and won’t see you anymore.

Major’s son: My honey, I have been waiting for you for all my life.

Cinderella: Where are we going?

Major’s son: We are going to an exotic island for our honeymoon. Are you happy?

Cinderella: Of course! My dreams have become true.

All actors and actresses sing the song “Girl”(Beatles). The audience can sing with characters.
