Введение иактивизация  лексики по теме «Здоровый образ жизни», тренировки навыков чтения и устной речи по данной теме, совершенствованию навыков аудирования, воспитанию правильного отношение к здоровому образу жизни

Разработка урока английского языка в  5  классе по теме «Здоровый образ жизни»

Задачи урока: ввести и активизировать лексику по теме «Здоровый образ жизни», тренировать навыки чтения и устной речи по данной теме, совершенствовать навыки аудирования, воспитывать правильное отношение к здоровому образу жизни.

Оборудование урока: используется компьютер с презентацией по теме «Здоровье», раздаточный материал.

Ход урока:

  1. Вводная часть: приветствие, ответы на вопросы общего характера, объявление темы урока.

T: Dear children! I am glad to meet you. My name is …, and I want to know your names. Here are the cards, please write down your names on them. Thank you.

 Today we shall discuss one of the main problems of our life. Please, look at the screen and try to guess- what topic we are going to speak about.   Right you are – the theme of our lesson is the healthy way of life.

  What do you think are the main components of the healthy way of life?

P.: (sports, food, etc)

T.: That’s right. Now let us look at the list of the components of good health.

(включается слайд 2 с диаграммой составляющих здорового образа жизни, ученикам раздаются распечатанные диаграммы)

2.Активизация лексики по теме здоровье, продукты питания.

So, what do we see? (ученики читают основные составляющие: здоровое питание, физическая активность и др. Некоторые понятия сопровождаются переводом.)

T.: Let us discuss each component of the list. So, healthy food goes first. (слайд 3).

  Now look here. As you know fruit are very useful. Let us revise the names of some fruit.

Repeat after me:  apples, oranges, pears, pineapples, kiwi, bananas, pomegranates, grapefruit,                              apricots. peaches.

What is your favourite fruit? Do you like bananas? Do you often eat oranges?

Berries are good for our health too.( слайд 4).

Here are the names of some berries: strawberry, raspberry, gooseberry,                                                          blackberry, current, grapes, plums, cherry, watermelons.

Now look at the screen and say. Where do you see cherry? In what picture do you see raspberry? What can you see in the first picture?

Vegetables are also very important for our health.( слайд 5). Do you remember the names of some vegetables? Let us  repeat them. (potatoes,  carrots, cucumbers, tomatoes,  paprika,  marrows,  cabbage,

 garlic,  onion,  beetroots).

There are some other useful products. What are they? (слайд 6).

 fish,  dairy products,  tea,  eggs,  mushrooms,  vegetable oil,  porridge,  beans,  sea products).

It is surprising but the food children like best is not healthy at all. It is not useful for us.(слайд 7).

(ice-cream, pizza, cakes, hot dogs, chips, hamburgers, Cola, Pepsi)

Do you understand that large portions of these products can be harmful to you?

3.Контроль усвоения лексики

Here is a task for you. Classify the products as healthy and unhealthy ones .Read the examples and use the models:

Milk is a healthy product.

Eggs are good for your health.

Apples make you healthy

Cakes are unhealthy.

Pepsi is harmful for your health.

Hot dogs make you sick

You must make up sentences with the following words: fish, cheese, coffee, vegetable oil, hamburger, pizza, cherry, onion, ice-cream.

4.Аудирование. (слайд 8)

 

—  Now listen to the text “Energy for healthy life”. First look at the words you’ll come across in the text.

(fuel / to resist disease/ bones/ muscles/ poultry/brain/ raw/ avoid/ snacks). Please listen to the text and match the parts of each sentence.

Energy for health and life.

There is a well-known saying “A man is what he eats”. Food is a form of fuel. It gives us energy, helps us to grow, resist disease and form strong teeth and bones. Different foods do different things for the body. Some foods are good for making strong muscles. They are meats, eggs, fish and poultry. Some foods help to keep bones, skin and blood healthy. Among these foods are fruit, vegetables, milk and cheese. Fish is perfect for the brain, carrots make eyes healthy.

Vitamins which are absolutely necessary for our health, are found in fruit and vegetables, especially in raw ones.

 But nowadays there are so many kinds of tasty food which is absolutely unhealthy, that it is difficult to follow a healthy diet. Try to avoid eating fast food , snacks, sweets and cakes.

Choose  the right answer:

1. Meat, eggs, fish and poultry  are good …

2. Vegetables, milk, cheese help to keep…

3. Fish is perfect…

4. Carrots make…

5. Try to avoid...

5. Активизация лексики по теме «физическая активность». (слайд 9)

As you remember the next point of our scheme is exercising. Please, tell me what it is necessary to do to keep fit.

  • If you want to be fit it is necessary:

to do morning exercises

to be active

to go in for sports

to swim

to jog

to walk a lot

to go hiking

to play active games  

-Do you do morning exercises?

-Can you swim?

-What sport do you go in for?

-Do you walk a lot?

-Are you fond of jogging?

-What active games do you play?

I see you are good sportsmen.

6. Практика в чтении (слайд 10)

Let us speak about hygiene. Read this poem and say what should we do to be healthy.

A funny thing happens,

as we get a little older....

we get a little stronger,

and smell a little bolder!

So we use deoderant,

and bathe everyday....

and put on clean clothes,

so the smell goes away!

We need to brush our teeth,

and learn how to "floss"....

it prevents bad breath,

and possible tooth loss!

I hope all of you follow the rules. You look smart.

The next point of our plan is regularity in life. Do you follow the regime? Don’t you spend too much time playing computer games? Let us read the following statements: (слайд11)

  • Avoid chaotic lifestyle!
  • Regularity in life is good for your health.
  • Don’t spend too much time working on your computer
  • Sleeping 8 hours, getting up early, regular meals is really a good way to live!

Don’t forget to follow this advice!

7. Обсуждение темы «вредные привычки» (слайд 12)

Now let’s speak about bad habits. Bad habits ruin our health. What are they?

Obesity, smoking, drinking alcohol and taking drugs are deadly health sins!

Obesity is when a person eats too much, more than he needs, and becomes fat.

As you know, to be healthy you should control your weight. Obesity is dangerous  for your health. So let’s think what we can do to avoid it. Read the right sentences:

– Cut out snacks and desserts. Eat hamburgers and cheeseburgers.  Eat less of everything. Drink Coca if you are thirsty.  Don’t eat at night.  Eat bones and cakes if you are hungry. Count calories.  Follow a diet.

8. Let’s have a look at our scheme. The next point of it is consulting a doctor. So remember: (слайд13)

  • Even if you feel well you should consult your doctor twice a year. Medical checks are absolutely necessary.
  • You should take vitamins.
  • You should visit your dentist four times a year.
  • If you feel sick call the doctor immediately!

 

9. Подведение итогов урока (слайд 14)

So at last we have good rules to remember to keep fit. Say what they are.

Every nation has proverbs about health. Here are some English proverbs and their Russian rhymed translations. (слайд 15). Can you find the right translation?

  • An apple a day keeps the doctor away.
  • The early bird catches the worm.
  • Early to bed and early to rise makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise.
  • After dinner sit a while, after supper walk a mile.
  • Eat at pleasure, drink with measure.
  • An hour in the morning is worth two in the evening.  

*Яблоками угощайся – к доктору не обращайся.

*Утром самой ранней пташке достаются все букашки.

*Рано ложишься и рано встаешь- счастье, здоровье и мудрость найдешь.

*Отдыхай ты лучше днем, прогуляйся перед сном.

*Ешь и пей, да меру разумей.

*Утренний час больше радует нас.

And at last I’ve got a present for you: it is my secret of happiness. (слайд 16)

We have learnt with you, my friend

That good health should never end.

Sports and bathing, healthy food,

Spending days in perfect mood,

Smiling, laughing, doctor’s check

And your life is never black!

Follow rules to make days bright -

-You will certainly be right!
