MOSCOW

  Moscow is the capital of the Russian Federation. It is the administrative, cultural and historical centre of Russia.

  Moscow emerged on the Russian land nine centuries ago.  In the course of its long history Moscow has experienced various events: devastation, robberies of the Eastern khans, devastation fires, revolts. In spite of it, after each disaster the city rose from the ashes, was built anew and revived with the increased, might and power.

  Moscow has a humid continental climate with warm humid summers and fairly cold winters usually lasting from mid November through the end of March. Typical high temperatures in the warm months of June, July and August are around a comfortable 20 °C. In the winter, night-time temperatures normally drop to approximately −10 °C.

  Moscow is a very green city, if compared to other cities of comparable size in Western Europe and North America. There are on average 27 square meters (290 sq ft) of parks per person in Moscow compared with 6 for Paris, 7.5 in London and 8.6 in New York. In Moscow, there are parks and forestland, as Izmailovo Park, Timiryazevskiy park Filevsky Park (Forest Park), Zamoskvoretskiy park, Lublin park Butovo forest park, the Botanical Garden, Boring garden, Bitsevskiy park, museum Tsaritsyno and Kolomenskoye, Kuz'minskii park, Forest Park lumpy and others
. Also within the city is part of a National Park Elk Island, many parks and recreational areas.

   Moscow is the largest city in Russia and the number of residents of the most populous cities are completely in Europe. Its agglomeration permanent population of about 15 million people and is the largest in Russia and Europe. The constant growth of the population of Moscow is mainly due to the influx of people from other regions. The official population of Moscow is based on those holding "permanent residency." According to Russia's Federal Migration Service, Moscow also holds 1.8 million official "guests" who have temporary residency on the basis of visas or other documentation, giving a legal population of 13.3 million. The number of unofficial guests, those without proper documentation, the vast majority from Central Asia, is estimated to be an additional 1 million people,for a total population of about 14.3 million.

  On the ecological situation in Moscow affect predominance western and north-westerly winds in the city. Urban water quality is better in the north-west of the city, upstream of the Moscow River. Important factor in improving the ecosystem of the city is the preservation and development of gardens, parks and trees in yards, suffered in recent years from the point of building. A high level of air pollution observed near major highways and industrial zones ; especially in the center , in the eastern and south-eastern parts of the city . The highest level of air pollution in Moscow is observed in areas Kapotnja , Koshino - Ukhtomsky and Marino - because located in the city of Moscow refinery and Lyuberetskaya Kuryanovskoy aeration stations . The most ecologically clean district of Moscow are Krylatskoye Kurkino Mitino Strogino and ash .
 Among the sources of pollution in Moscow the first place are the exhaust gases of vehicles. Pollute the air as power plants , factories, and evaporation of hot asphalt. Release consulting firm Mercer, Moscow recognized as one of the most polluted capitals of Europe ( for example, in the rankings for 2007 Moscow took 14th place on the level of contamination of the world's capitals ) . 

   Moscow has one of the largest municipal economies in Europe, it is the undisputed financial center of Russia and home to the country's largest banks and many of its largest companies, such as natural gas giant Gazprom. Many new business centers and office buildings have been built in recent years, but Moscow still experiences shortages in office space. As a result, many former industrial and research facilities are being reconstructed to become suitable for office use.      Moscow is home to nearly all of Russia's nationwide television networks, radio stations, newspapers and magazines.        

    Moscow is also home to many people who have become famous in various branches of culture, science, sports, etc. For many others not born in Moscow, the city is also a place for realizing their ideas, business ventures and political careers. Many current politicians in leading positions and key figures from the international political and economy scene have received an education in Moscow.
  Not without reason the symbol of the capital is Kremlin, surrounded by brick walls with 20 towers, a splendid ensemble uniting architectural monuments of different epochs.

  Red Square is the heart of Moscow. This place is for festivals and official ceremonies.

  Moscow is a museum of priceless treasures of history, architecture, art, accumulated over many centuries. City increased over the years and updated, but as genuine jewelry protected it beautiful monuments of former times.
