                     The Cat, the Mouse and its tail.

The performance for 4-formers during English language decade.

Characters : the Narrator, the Mouse, the Cat, the Milkmaid, the Farmer, the Greengrocer, the Grocer, the Baker.

 The presentation(attached) plays the role of scenery. During the pause (… )the music plays and the characters move.

 The Narrator:  Once upon a time a cat caught a mouse and bit off its tail. The Mouse is very upset and beggs the Cat.

The Mouse: Oh! Please, give me back my tail!  

 The Cat: First go to the Milkmaid and get me some milk. Bring me the milk and I’ll give you your tail.

The Narrator: And the Mouse goes to the Milkmaid …and asks

The Mouse: Please, dear Milkmaid, give me some milk!

The Milkmaid: Go to the Farmer and get me some grass for the cow. Then I’ll give you some milk.

The Narrator: The Mouse goes to the Farmer… and asks

The Mouse: Please, dear Farmer, give me some grass!

The Farmer: Go to the Greengrocer and get me some apples then I’ll give you some grass.

The Narrator: The Mouse goes to the Greengrocer… and asks

The Mouse: Please, dear Greengrocer, give me some apples!

The Greengrocer: Go to the Grocer and get me some sugar then I’ll give you some  apples.

The Narrator: The Mouse goes to the Grocer… and asks

The Mouse: Please, dear Grocer, give me some sugar.

The Grocer: Go to the Baker and get me some bread then I’ll give you some sugar.

The Narrator: The Mouse goes to the Baker… and asks:

The Mouse: Please, dear Baker, give me some bread!

The Baker: Here is the bread but if you eat my flour I’ll cut off your head!

The Mouse:  I promise, dear Baker, I won’t eat your flour!

 The Baker gives the Mouse some bread

The Narrator: And the Mouse runs to the Grocer and says:

The Mouse:  Dear Grocer, here is some bread, give me some sugar!

The Grocer gives the Mouse some sugar.

The Narrator:  Then the Mouse runs to the Greengrocer and says:

The Mouse:  Dear Greengrocer, here is some sugar, give me some apples!

The Greengrocer gives the Mouse some apples.

The Narrator:  Next the Mouse runs to the Farmer and says:

 The Mouse:   Dear Farmer, here are some apples, give me some   grass!

The Farmer gives the Mouse some grass.

The Narrator:   After that the Mouse runs to the Milkmaid and says: 

The Mouse: Dear Milkmaid, here is some grass, give me some milk!

The Milkmaid gives the Mouse some milk.

The Narrator: At last the Mouse runs to the Cat and says:

  The Mouse: Dear Cat, here is some milk. Give me back my tail!

The Cat drinks the milk and gives the Mouse its tail.

The Cat: Here is your tail.

The happy Mouse cries:

The Mouse: Thank you very much! I have my tail again! Hoorray!

The Mouse dances.

All the characters bow and say together
