Little Red Riding Hood

AUTHUR: Once upon a time in a small in village there lived a very nice girl. Her mother made a red hood for her. That’s why everybody called her the Little Red Riding Hood. The girl was very cheerful, kind and bright.

MOTHER: Honey, our granny feels bad today. Could you bring her the pies I have made?

LRRH: Of cause, mum! I haven’t seen my granny for ages!

MOTHER: But you should be careful. A big angry Grey Wolf runs in the forest and looks for a meal.

LRRH: OK, dear, I will be very careful.

GREY WOLF: (sings the song)

What a wonderful day!

The sun is shining so bright!

You may go for a walk

And to have a good time.

But I cannot enjoy

All the beauty of a day.

Cause I’m very hungry

And I want something to eat.

I don’t care about

All the nicest things.

I like everything

But I needn’t it.

I am looking for

Some food everywhere.

I am hungry now.

I just want to eat!

                  Oh, I’m so hungry. I have a stomachache. If I could catch a little hare! Oh, listen! Somebody is coming here. Keep silence, please.

LRRH: What a wonderful loan! I can have a rest here. The sun is shining, birds are singing… (зевает) But mum sad there was an angry Grey Wolf here. Nobody is here! I’ll rest just for a minute and go on. (садится и засыпает)

GREY WOLF: What a nice girl! She looks tasty! (разглядывает со всех сторон)

LRRH: (вздрагивает) Oh! It’s you! What do you want from me?

GREY WOLF: I…  I… I - just to have a talk.

LRRH: You just want to have a talk and nothing else. Aren’t you going to eat me?

GREY WOLF: To eat? Oh no! I’m so lonely. I have no friends and nobody wants to talk to me. (плачет) Will you be my first friend?

LRRH: Poor Wolfy, of cause, I will.

GREY WOLF: Such a kind girl! Glad to meet you!

LRRH: I’m Little Red Riding Hood! Glad to meet you too.

GREY WOLF: And where are you going?

LRRH: I am going to my granny. He feels bad.

GREY WOLF: (в сторону) Granny!!! Two dishes for a dinner! (Красной шапочке): Where does she live?

LRRH: She lives on a village across the forest. Oh, it’s getting late. I have to go. Good bye, Wolfy!

GREY WOLF: Good bye! Good luck! (потирает руки)

AUTHUR: And Little Red Riding Hood went on. (песенка Красной Шапочки)

If you go along the forest,

If you go along the field,

If you go along the mountains,

You can reach Africa.

There are many different flowers,

There are many different birds,

There are many butterflies

In Africa, you see!

There are the highest mountains in Africa!

There are the deepest rivers in Africa!

There are a lot of crocodiles.

There are hippopotamus.

There are many parrots, too.

There are many parrots, too.

I will go along the forest,

I will go along the field,

I will go along the mountains

Then I’ll meet somebody there.

I will say “Hallo” to flowers,

I will say “Hallo” to birds

And to little butterflies.

They will greet me after all!

                  Nobody knows how long she went but she met little squirrels.

LRRH: Little squirrels, why are you so sad?

LITTLE SQUIRREL 1: Our mother is ill.

LITTLE SQUIRREL 3: We have nothing to eat. Our Mummy can’t cook now.

LITTLE SQUIRREL 1: And we are too young to cook.

LITTLE SQUIRREL 2: And our mummy is so week without food.

LITTLE SQUIRREL 3: She will never recover! (все плачут)

LRRH: Oh, no-no-no. Don’t cry. I will help you. Take some pies and give them to your mother. And these once are for you.

LITTLE SQUIRREL 1: Thank you, Little Red Riding Hood.

LRRH: You are welcome. Best wishes to your mother.

AUTHUR: And Little Red Riding Hood continued her way. She went and went and met a hedgehog. He was looking for something and seemed to be very busy.

LRRH: Hello little Hedgehog! What are you looking for?

HEDGEHOG: Hello pretty girl! I’m in a trouble!

LRRH: What’s happened? Can I help you?

HEDGEHOG: Oh, I’m a head of a big family. I went to find some food and got an apple and three mushrooms. But suddenly I was frightened by a wolf and ran away. Unfortunately I’ve lost everything. Now I don’t know how can I come back home.

LRRH: You can take our pies, they are very tasty. I think your family will be glad.

HEDGEHOG: Can I? It’s so kind of you! Thank you very much!

LRRH: Not at all.

(песенка бабочек)

LRRH: Hello, beautiful butterflies! What a lovely song you are singing! Where are you from?

BUTTERFLIY 1: Nice to meet you, Little Red Riding Hood! We are from Japan.

BUTTERFLIY 2: We like travelling very much and we travel all over the world.

LRRH: Oh, tell me, please, about Japan.

BUTTERFLIY 3: Our country is wonderful. There are so many flowers and trees there.

BUTTERFLIY 1: Would you like to come with us there? We are going to come back home.

LRRH: Of cause, I would. But I can’t. I have to visit my granny. She is ill. I’m carrying some pies for her.

BUTTERFLIY 2: Your granny is ill, isn’t she? But we are not usual butterflies. We are magic ones!

BUTTERFLIY 3: And we can help you.

LRRH: Really?

BUTTERFLIY 1: Of cause! Where does your granny live?

LRRH: She lives over there.

BUTTERFLIY 2: So let’s fly! Hurry up!

(больная бабушка сидит на стуле, заходит Красная шапочка с бабочками)

LRRH:  Hello, my dear granny! How are you feeling today?

GRANNY: When I see your smile I feel much better, my honey!

BUTTERFLIY 3: Your granny is healthy now.

LRRH: Thank you, butterflies! Granny, I’ve brought you some pies. Oh, no! There are no pies in the basket.

GRANNY: Don’t be so sad, dear. Everything is all right. We have no pies, but we have a lot of friends.

(все выходят на сцену с гостинцами и поют финальную песню)

If you have someone to share with

You will be the happiest one.

Course your friendship and your love

Are the best things in the world.

You can live without money,

You can live without treasure.

But you will be so unhappy

If you haven’t any friend.

If you haven’t any friend.

It’s so good to have the best friends,

To go for a walk together,

To visit many different countries,

To play with them and have a talk.
