Сценарий St. Pаtrick’s day

Выходят 2 ведущих

1 ведущий:  Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen! We are glad to see you at the opening ceremony of the Week of Foreign Languages.

2:  Today we’d like to pay our attention to the language that has become global and unites people all over the world – this is English.

1: English is an official language in many countries. What English-speaking countries do you know? (появляется слайд с вопросом, дети называют страны, появляются названия этих стран)

2: We can see how English is widely spread. But which is the country that introduced this language to the whole world? – the UK. (появляется карта Великобритании)

1: It consists of many four countries. What are they?

2: Yes, the first is England. What symbols of England do you know? (уч-ся называют, появляются картинки).

1: And what do you know about Scotland? What symbols does it have? (появляется Шотландия)

2: What can you tell us about Wales?

1: And what is special about Northern Ireland?

2: How clever you are. But Is there only one Ireland or are there two of them? Who can help us? We don’t remember. (уч-ся называют, появляется слайд с Ирландией)

1: What can you tell us about Ireland?

2: We don’t know much about this beautiful country. But Саша Шарипов, the pupil of the 6 form, will help to learn more about it.

Выходит Саша с презентацией и рассказывает об Ирландии.

1: Now we have some ideas of this country. And it’s true to say that the Irish adore their native land. They write magnificent poems about it. Let’s welcome Ксению и Ваню, the pupils of the 6th form, with the poem by Moore “Love of Ireland”

Выходят Ксюша и Ваня и рассказывают стихотворение.

2: We are closer and closer to this country. And there is one thing that unites us with the Irish today. Have you noticed that we wear green clothes. And what is the date today? (появляется дата the 17th march)

1: Well. What is special about this day? It’s St Patrick’s day!!! And we, like the Irish, will celebrate it. (Появляется картинка с празднованиями)

2: But who was Patrick? Why do the Irish celebrate his day?

Выходят ученики 6 класса и рассказывают о Патрике, их рассказ сопровождается слайдами.

1: The Irish like playing musical instruments. But they also like to dance. Do you know how their national dance is called? – River Dance. Let’s see how it looks like.

Появляется видео с выступлением Майкла Флетли.

2: During the celebrations the Irish sing a traditional song. Let’s try to sing it together. At least the last line “Potatoes and cabbage”

1: There are other traditions while celebrating St Patrick’s day.  For example, in Chicago, the USA, they colour the River Chicago green. People organize parades. The first parade took place in New York.

2: On this day you can also meet fairy creatures. And if you meet them you will be lucky.

1: Aha, here it is. A leprechaun. (Появляется мальчик в костюме липрикона, показывает золотые монетки). He is an elf who always has a pot of gold coins. But to get his treasure you need to participate in our quiz. Those who will be active and answer a lot of questions will get his coins.

Появляется викторина в виде презентации.

2: There is also one trick to be happy, lucky and successful. You have shamrocks (clovers). But if you have a four-leaf clover you are the luckiest one. Who has such a clover? Let’s greet the luckiest pupils.

Ученики поднимаются на сцену. Их приветствуют.

1:Let’s put up our shamrocks and shake them. Happy St Patrick’s day!!!

2: The aim of our performance is to show how the world is rich and diverse. There are a lot of things that we know. And there are a lot of things that we can learn. Studying foreign languages broadens our knowledge.

1: We, the pupils of this school, know more than those who don’t have an opportunity to study foreign languages. We know more about culture of different countries, about their holidays, customs and traditions. We can say that we are closer to the Americans, English, Irish because the language unites us.
