1.Вступительное слово ведущего.

On Halloween children dress up in costumes and go from door to door calling “Trick or treat”.

Trick or treat, trick or treat

Give us something good to eat

Give us candy, give us cake

Give us something sweet to take.

Give us cookies, fruit and gum,

Hurry up and give us some.        

You had better do it quick

Or we’ll surely play a trick.

ведущий - The holiday gets its name from “All hallows evening” or the evening before All Saints Day, October, 31st, according to the western European Church calendar. Irish immigrants brought these customs with them to the USA. Many people place jack-o-lanterns near their houses to protect people from any harm.

Five little pumpkins sitting on a gate

the first one said “Oh my, it’s getting late!”

the second said “There are witches in the air”

the third one said “But we don’t care”

the fourth one said “Let’s run and run and run!”

the fifth one said “I’m ready for some fun”

Oooooooo went the wind and out went the light

And the five little pumpkins rolled out of sight!

ведущий - Our holiday celebrations are beginning!

Let’s play “Peanut race”.

Each player is given a peanut and a toothpick and is told to start, when the signal is given, to push a peanut across the room with a toothpick. The one who succeeds in pushing his peanut to the opposite side of the room first is the winner.

Thank you, guys, these are prizes for you two.

Ведущий  - The next contest is “Name the nose”.

A sheet is hung so that a person may stand behind it without being seen. A hole is cut in the sheet just large enough for a nose to go through it. The players form sides. Then one by one the players of one team hide behind the sheet and stick their noses through the hole. The other team tries to guess the identity of the noses. The team which scores the most points wins the game. You can paint a funny face on a sheet and make a hole where the nose should be. When a real nose pops through the effect is so funny that it makes it a lot more difficult to guess the owner of the nose!

  Ведущий – our next game is for those who can whistle “Cracker race”.

Two boys are given 6 hard old-fashioned crackers each. At a signal they start to eat them. After they have eaten there must be a whistle. It’s easier said than done – the mouths are so dry that it takes some time to do it!

ведущий OK, refreshments now. Have a drink and we‘ll continue.

Ведущий – I can guess too. I can tell fortune. You all should think of a number from 1 to 9, don’t tell me it. I’ll look into your eyes and I can see the number. Let’s try! ( в этой игре нужно заранее найти помощника, который подскажет вам загаданное ребятами число, например, моргая столько раз, какое число было выбрано)

Ведущий – who else can guess the numbers? “Pumpkin seeds” try to guess how many seeds are there in the bowl. (насыпать нужно примерно одинаковое количество семечек, чтобы сложнее было угадать точное число)

Ведущий – for this game I need 5 people whom I’m going to mesmerize now. Hold your plates. You should do whatever I do, and do it carefully. Look only in my eyes. Is it OK? (Before the game the plates have been passed over the flame of a candle until covered with soot. Pass the index finger of the right hand across the bottom of the plate. With the same finger mark a cross the forehead and on each cheek, and press the tip of the nose. And then tell the children to look at each other’s faces. They discover that they have blacked their faces with soot!).

Ведущий - let’s sing in a chorus “Ten little witches”

One little, two little, three little witches

Four little, five little, six little witches

Seven little, eight little, nine little witches

Ten little witches in the sky.

2 куплет читается наоборот.

Ведущий – shall we paint? OK, we have a big sheet of paper, paints, brushes, straws, and scissors. Let’s draw a dark gnarly October sky and atop of it an old big tree (girls make some jack-o-lanterns to decorate our tree and boys draw the sky and a tree)

ведущий – now we are going to have witches racing. I need two people – a boy and a girl. You are to start here and there we have our finish line. Let your airborne witch fly as far as you can. And we‘ll see who wins!

Ведущий – the next game is “Bobbing for apples”. (you need a bowl of water and 5 apples floating in it.) The task is to get the apples as soon as possible.

Ведущий – and now we are going to have a suitcase race! (sides are chosen and one person from each side competes until all have raced. A goal is set to start out with suitcases and carrying umbrellas. In each suitcase there should be a hat, a coat, a pair of overshoes. The two players run madly to the goal, open their suitcases which are fastened and strapped, put on the coat, hat, and overshoes, open the umbrella, and run back to the starting point.  

Ведущий – and our next contest is “Object passing relay”. Make two lines of 5 people, the task is to pass these objects as quickly as possible, but be careful, don’t drop anything. It’s very important. Ready, steady, go!

Ведущий – now our last contest – guess my name! take these sheets of paper and be ready to write down the first letters of every word so as to form a name. Is it clear? Shall we begin?

Run in ten alleys. Rita. 

Moons are yellow. May.

People all use linen. Paul. 

Farmers raise elegant ducks. Fred.

Do Indians agree naughty actors? Diana.

Ведущий – thank you, dear friends for being merry, active and some kind mysterious. I wish you a lot of joy, happiness, and laughter. You can take a balloon, sweets and a piece of cake with you.
