Hello. Glad to meet you after Thanksgiving Day. The last Thursday in November all Americans stay home with their families and eat a big dinner. This is Thanksgiving Day.

Today you’ll see a scene about the history of Thanksgiving Day and you’ll know more about it. Then captains will preset their teams and we’ll start competitions. Let’s see the scene “The story of Thanksgiving Day” at first.

Учащиеся 7-го класса разыгрывают сценку «История Дня Благодарения». В конце сценки звучит песня “Happy Thanksgiving”, которую исполняют все участники праздника.

Ведущий: Let’s listen to the first task: Restore the story of Thanksgiving. Write down numbers on the carts according to the order of the facts and translate sentences on the back of cards.  Judges announce the results of the presentation ceremony. (max 3 points)

Ведущий: Let’s listen to the second task: Solve the crossword puzzle. Read the sentences attentively. Write down guessing words the crossword puzzle. Команды выполняют задания. Консультанты ассистируют выполнение задания. Judges announce the results of the presentation ceremony. (max 5 points)

Ведущий: Since 1621 it becomes a tradition to celebrate Thanksgiving Day in U.S.A. The last Thursday in November all Americans stay home with their families and eat a big dinner. Traditionally people eat dishes from corn? Cranberries squash and pumpkins. Nowadays turkey is still the main dish and pumpkin pie is the most popular dessert. Americans thanks their friends and relatives for love and care.
