               в 8-м классе по УМК Spotlight 8

Тема: «Modern Technologies»

Обобщающий урок.

Урок организован с использованием элементов следующих педагогических технологий: Team Teaching (обучение в команде),  проектное обучение,  развитие критического мышления.

Оснащение урока: УМК, раздаточный материал (прилагается), компьютер, интерактивная доска, сеть Интернет, электронные носители, презентации Power point.

Цель урока: введение в мир компьютерных технологий,  формирование информационной компетентности  и своего отношения к миру современной техники.

Задачи урока:

1. эмоциональное воздействие с целью повышения мотивации к изучению английского языка;
2. обучение общению, воспитание толерантного отношения к людям, высказывающим      противоположную точку зрения;

1. создание учебно – речевых ситуаций с целью стимулирования речевой деятельности, ситуации живого общения, обогащение потенциального словаря учащихся.

Ход урока

1. Организационный момент.

Приветствие.

Тeacher1 Предъявление темы и целей урока.

2. Речевая зарядка. 

Тeacher 2

а) Отработка лексики по теме. Заполнение спайдограммы   (мозговой штурм).

Digital camera, NV set, Laptop, iPod, PDA, mobile phone…

б) Высказывания учащихся о своём отношении к тому или иному прибору.

3.       Основной этап.

Работа в режиме Тeacher1—Тeacher2 (обмен репликами), смена учителя.

Тeacher 1:

а) фронтальная работа, подготовка к проверке домашнего задания  мини-проекта о великих изобретателях;

б) защита мини-проектов (презентаций);

в) feedback (подведение итогов этого этапа):

заполнение спайдограммы о знаменитых изобретателях.

 Работа в режиме Т1—Т2 (обмен репликами), смена учителя.

Тeacher2:

2. One of the most important inventions is the Internet of course. All of you know how to use it.  But let’s repeat some words connected with the Internet. Click the mouse, processor, connect to the Internet, search engine…Why do we use these things?

 Инструкция: Now you’ll see the short movie. Your task is to feel in the                            gaps in the hand outs. (Просмотр фильма, заполнение пропусков  (упражнение на множественный выбор, одно из заданий формата ЕГЭ).

4. Feedback (подведение итогов этапа): проверка ответов.

 Работа в режиме Т1—Т2 (обмен репликами - оба учителя, учащиеся).

Фронтальная работа. Дискуссия на тему: «Компьютер и интернет: за и против». Обсуждение проблемы в командах. Группа учащихся делится на две команды. 1 команда выдвигает аргументы «за», 2 команда – «против» заявленной проблемы обсуждения. Во главе каждой команды встает один из учителей, помогая правильно формулировать аргументы, за каждый из них команде начисляются баллы. По окончании дискуссии подводятся итоги, представитель от каждой команды резюмирует все факты, высказанные членами его команды. Каждый из учителей подсчитывает баллы, набранные его командой. Команда победитель получает бонус в виде сладкого приза. В завершение оба учителя подводят итоги дискуссии, приходя к выводу, что использование компьютера и сети Интернет в наше время имеет массу достоинств и отрицательных факторов, тем не менее, человечество не в состоянии обходиться без них.

 Работа в режиме Т1—Т2 (обмен репликами), оба учителя.

Заключительный этап. Сообщение домашнего задания, выставление оценок, подведение итогов урока.

Тема: "English   Аround   the World of Pop Music ".

  Урок организован с использованием программных средств учебного назначения, Интернет ресурсов на основе анализа аутентичного культуроведческого материала.

Цели урока:

1. формирование коммуникативных  навыков на основе разговорной темы «Английский язык в сфере популярной музыки». 

Задачи урока:

1. расширить лексический запас учащихся по теме;
2. тренировать навыки говорения и аудирования;
3. познакомить учащихся с иноязычной музыкальной культурой;

1. воспитывать у учащихся эстетический вкус, чувство уважения к различным видам музыкальной культуры.

Ход урока

2. Организационный момент

Teacher: Good morning students, I’m glad to see you today! Take your seats. We’re having a special lesson today. Today we’ll not just speak English, we’re going to speak English about English. (Слайд 1) So the topic of our lesson is «English around the World of Pop Music ». We have a lot of things to do: we are to fulfill some tasks, watch and listen to some information, discuss the topic. But before we start, let’s train our tongues to make them ready for English pronunciation.

3. Фонетическая зарядка

Look here. What sound are we going to train? (Учащимся представлен графический символ согласной фонемы [ɵ], слайд 2).  Right you are, it is the sound [ɵ]. Итак, при произнесении этого звука кончик языка находится между зубами, а поток воздуха проходит между языком и верхними зубами. Now say [ɵ] all together. Thank you, so look at the smart board and listen to a short poem (Слайд 3, приложение 1).  Now  repeat the lines after the announcer all together. OK, read the poem by yourselves now. (Проговаривают за диктором хором, затем индивидуально). Thank you, that’s enough with this.

 В качестве звукового пособия используется мультимедийный справочник-тренажор  «Профессор Хиггинс. Английский без акцента!»  Версия 6.0.                                                

4. Речевая зарядка.

Teacher: So let’s pass to the topic of our lesson. As far as you could understand we are to discuss the importance of foreign languages in the life of modern teenagers, so I hope the topic will be interesting for you. Now I ask you to think over the main idea of the poem we have just read.  What is it, in your opinion?

Pupils (примерные ответы): I suppose people speak different languages in different countries. But whatever language they speak, they have the same ideas and thoughts. And the most important thing for all the people in the world is to be able to understand each other and to have peace on Earth.

Teacher:  Thank you. You are absolutely right. I quite agree with you. There are many languages on our planet. But let’s imagine a meeting between two people from different parts of the world – Russia and Mexico, let’s say, or Japan and Brazil – when neither speaks the other’s native language. How do they communicate?

Pupils (примерные ответы): I think nowadays they would certainly use English, because it has become the international language.

Teacher: Right you are. English has become the most widespread language on earth. People learn it for many reasons, and what are your reasons for learning English?

Pupils (примерные ответы): We learn English mainly to be able to watch English-language films, TV-programs and to listen to pop music. We also would like to make friends with English-speaking young people to exchange our opinions on different things.

Teacher: That’s very good. It’s true that the language of nearly all the modern pop music is English. And I know that all of you are keen on it, that’s why today we’ll speak about the language of pop.

Teacher: Now I’d like to draw your attention to the photos on the smart board. Please have a look and say who these people are and what you know about them (Слайд 4).

Pupils (примерные ответы): These are the members of the popular music band Abba. They were on the top of disco music in the 70-s, 80-s of the XX century.

Teacher: That’s right. Abba was a Swedish pop group in 1970-s which consisted of 4 musicians. They became one of the most successful projects in the history of popular music. Abba was the first band to come from a non-English-speaking country. One of the most popular songs of them is Happy New Year. Now I’d like you to listen to it and watch the video in the Internet. I’ll give you cards containing the text of the song.   While listening you are to catch the missing words and   fill in the gaps.

Teacher: OK. At the next lessons we’ll learn this song and sing it at our school parties. Now let’s find out what international song contests you know where singers from different countries, speaking different languages can participate. I’ll give you a prompt. So look at these photos (cлайд 5). What do you think it is?

Pupils (примерные ответы): Obviously this is a Eurovision song contest. It is an annual competition held among European countries.

Teacher: Quite right.  Now I’d like you to read the article about it and correct the following statements. Don’t forget to use the phrases of agreement and disagreement (слайды 6, 7, приложение 3).

1. The Eurovision song contest is held among all the countries of the World.
2. They sing their songs in English to have a better chance to win the contest.
3. The most notable winner was German band - Abba.

Teacher: Well, now you are to solve the crossword. Your task is to guess the names of the countries mentioned in the text (слайд 7, ссылка). Работа с кроссвордом, приложение 4.

Teacher: Fine. And now let’s speak about British pop. Do you know anything about it? Can you name these British pop stars? (слайд 8)

Before we watch a video about British pop, let’s do one more task. Put the words into the correct column (слайд 9, приложение 5).

Well, watch the sequence and after watching cross out the incorrect answer in the sentences bellow (слайды10, 11, приложение 6). Учащиеся выполняют задание у доски после просмотра видео.

 Now work in pairs: interview each other; ask the following questions (слайд 12) and fix the answers (приложение 7). Your home task will be to make a report about your partner’s preferences in music.

  The Eurovision Song Contest is an annual competition held among European countries. This contest has been broadcast every year since 1956 and is one of the longest-running television programmes in the world.  

   Young singers from such countries as France, Russia, Britain, Finland, Ukraine, Georgia, Italy and many others come to participate in the contest. They may sing songs in their native languages, but most of them sing in English which gives them a better chance to be understood by the participants and the viewers from other countries.

   The most notable winner was Abba who won the contest for Sweden in 1974 with their song Waterloo. Among Russian singers we know Dima Bilan who participated successfully and won the contest with a song Never let me go.

Занятие организовано на основе проектной технологии, а также информационных компьютерных технологий.

         Цель занятия:  обобщающее повторение и закрепление изученного материала по данной теме, развитие познавательной  активности, навыков говорения, воспитание правильного экологического поведения.

       Форма занятия: экологическая конференция.

Ведущий I: Hello, ladies and gentlemen.

Today is a great day. The 22nd of April is the Earth day, that is – the birthday of our planet.   It gives us food, air, places to live, things to wear – it gives us life. But we people often use our planet carelessly. We pollute air and water, cut out rainforests and kill animals and throw trash here and there. But people should protect the planet!

(Здравствуйте, дамы и господа!Сегодня знаменательный день. 22 апреля – День Земли, день рожденья нашей планеты. Она даёт нам пищу и кров, воздух и одежду – она даёт нам жизнь. Но мы, люди, часто безответственно относимся к нашей планете. Мы загрязняем воздух и воду, вырубаем леса, уничтожаем животных, разбрасываем мусор. Люди должны защитить свою планету!)

Ведущий II: Hey, stop a while! What can be done here? All problems appear because of progress. People need food and clothes – and they kill animals. They need houses, transport and paper – and they cut out trees. They build factories and plants – and put the waists into rivers and air. Do you mean to stop progress and live in caves again?

(А что мы можем сделать? Все проблемы – порождение технического прогресса. Людям нужна одежда и пища – и они убивают животных. Им Нужны дома, транспорт и бумага – и они вырубают леса. Они строят фабрики и заводы – и сбрасывают отходы в воздух и в реки. Ты считаешь, что надо остановить прогресс и вернуться в пещеры?)

Ведущий I: Absolutely not!!! But people should put filters on the plant chimneys, they can protect wild animals and  plant more trees. And of course they can keep clean the place where they live – their streets, yards and squares.  

   (Вовсе нет! Но ведь люди могут поставить фильтры на заводские трубы, защитить       диких животных, посадить больше деревьев. И конечно они вполне могут содержать в чистоте место, где живут: свою улицу, двор, соседний сквер или парк.)

Ведущий II: Yes, I see you are right. So we gathered here today for the ecological conference to speak about problems that our world caused because of thoughtless use of natural resources. And to think what we can do to protect  our planet.

(Да, действительно, ты прав. И мы собрались здесь в этот день на нашу экологическую конференцию, чтобы обсудить некоторые проблемы, которые возникли из-за бездумного использования природных ресурсов,  подумать что мы можем сделать, чтобы защитить нашу планету.)

Ведущий I: The first problem we are going to talk about is dangerous situation with the Usury tigers. In the last years the number of them fell to only two thousands. They were hunted for sport and for their beautiful skin. The students of the 5th grade will tell us what can be done about this problem.

(Первая проблема, которую нам предстоит обсудить, это ситуация с уссурийскими тиграми. В последние годы их численность резко сократилась до 2000. На них охотились ради красивых шкур и просто ради спортивного интереса. Проблему нам раскроют воспитанники 5 класса.)
