Who is ready with your home task? Tell us about the whales in Australia. What do you know? (Если никто не готов: Listen to me. Whales are large, intelligent and aquatic mammals. They breathe air. They are not fish. Whales are mammals that spend their life in the water. The blue whale is the largest animal).

Now open your books at page 36, exercise 5 (b). Read the questions and match the answers at page 37.

Children, 3 minutes for you.

Open your work books at page 35 exercise 2. Now you will listen to the story. The story is about a storm in the ocean.

(At 7 o’clock I must swim in the ocean.  At half past 8 I must get ready for school. At 9 o’clock I must go to school on the continent. At quarter past 9 I’m a start classes. From 10 to 1 I must finish classes. At quarter to 2 I must travel to the desert.)

At first look at the board. Here are some words:

• 7 o’clock
• school
• 9 o’clock
• continent
• classes
• desert

Repeat the words after me all together.

Now you will listen to the text for the first time. Then you will fill in the gaps.

What do you know about modal verb “must”? Translate, please. (Должен, обязан).

Open your books at page 39 ex.2. In pairs make up a dialogue. There is an example.

Now let’s continue doing exercise 4 at page 36. Start with number 4 “to speak to people from Australia”. The first is in Present Perfect, the second – with the verb “must”.
