This is George. He lived in Africa. He was a good little monkey and always very curious1.

One day George saw a man. The man had a large yellow hat on. He saw George too.

“What a nice little monkey”, he thought. “I would like to take him home with me.” He put his hat on the ground.

George was curious: he came down from the tree to look at the large yellow hat.

George thought: “It is nice to have it on my head”. He picked it up and put it on. The hat covered2 George’s head. He couldn’t see. The man picked him quickly and put into the bag. George was caught3.

My village is very small and it is called Richard's Castle. It has got a very old church and it is very beautiful. It has also got an old castle, "Richard's Castle". There is one shop in the village, that's the village shop. And there is one hotel. It is very small and very old and it is called The Castle. It has got a swimming pool and my friends and I swim there in summer. And in The Castle Hotel there is a restaurant. On Sundays I eat there with my mum and dad. The restaurant is my aunt's!

There is a doctor in the village, Dr Roberts, and his surgery is near the church. And there is a little factory in the village. It makes tables and chairs. The factory is my mum's.

Richard's Castle is very beautiful, but it is very boring! There aren't any cinemas or discos and we don't even have stivals in our village. When I leave school I want to live in a city.
