Многие учащиеся 8 – 11 классов нашей школы интересуются особенностями географического положения, политической обстановкой, разнообразием природных ресурсов, экономикой, культурой, обычаями России и англо – говорящих стран.
С целью повышения предметной мотивации данной возрастной группы и в связи с отсутствием данного материала в учебных пособиях была выбрана тема кроссворда.
Данная тема актуальна, так как 2014 год объявлен Перекрестным годом Культуры России и Великобритании, который проводится впервые в истории двусторонних отношений по инициативе Министерства иностранных дел РФ и Британского Совета с целью культурного обмена между Россией и Великобританией.
Кроссворд “UK - RUSSIA THE YEAR OF CULTURE” необходим и целесообразен для успешного решения важной дидактической задачи учебно-воспитательного процесса: расширить и закрепить полученные знания при минимальной затрате учебного времени.
Отвечая на вопросы кроссворда, учащиеся используют дополнительную предметную литературу, Интернет – ресурсы, концентрируют своё внимание на овладении нового актуального материала.
